"Your watch is drawing nearer and that excites me greatly," Gigan's merry voice drifted out again. "Tell me you are actually attached to the watch this time?" Vincent laughed, but choked on dust, coughed painfully, and cut it off short.

"Yeah, I'm actually wearing it this time," he answered steadily. The black BMW rammed into them again, and Vincent gasped as the wheel was jerked out of his weakened arms. Peter grabbed the wheel and pulled it over for his Christian ally, but the car spun dangerously on the narrow, dirt road. Vincent took it back again, but he could see the BMW readying for another attack.

Vincent grimmest as Caspt ripped his communicating watch off his bound wrist, and handed it to the thug beside him. He grimmest again as the thug began fiddling with it and made a wild effort to grab it back "You really don't want to do that. It's set to self destruct after its forcibly taken off."

Caspt just rolled his eyes "I doubt that, but just to be safe." He snapped his fingers, and another thug came forward holding a squirming kitten. "We don't want it to explode near us, now do we?"

Vincent froze, was Caspt going to do what he thought he was? He watched, worry twisting his stomach, as Caspt put his watch on the cats neck. Vincent knew that the watch wouldn't explode, but it would lead Sim and Gigan away from him when they used the tracker in the watch. He watched as the thug chased the cat away, then turned back to Caspt who was watching him with a smirk

"Now, lets see what you have to say, shell we?"

Vincent backed away a few steps mindful of the cliff just behind him, and grinned, but as he felt the ground give way beneath him, his face turned to a expression for horror. He felt himself tumble, and he twisted in the air. He suddenly jerked to a abrupt stop as his hands, which were tied in front of him, caught on a stick pocking out of the cliff side. Vincent heard voices shouting, then he heard Caspt's voice

"He must have died in the fall. We'll need to find someone else."

The world around Vincent grew silent as he hung by his wrists.

After what seemed like hours he felt strong arms rap around him and lift him up, easing the strain on his shoulders. He looked up and smiled at Sim, who was hanging onto the cliff wall with one hand, "You found me!"

A voice above the cliff edge grunted "It wasn't easy, we followed the cat's trail for miles, till we realized that you probably wouldn't be in a tree, hiding from a girl trying to lure you down. After we realized that, we went back to where the tracker started moving." As he spoke he was pulling on the rope that Sim was attached to, and as both Vincent and Sim reached the top and were sitting safely away from the edge he sat down and smiled "I really cant see how we do it. We've caught the most evil criminals, and have saved the world multiple times, and we still cant catch the person who is mysteriously feeding cats!"
