Hito's Note (3/?)

(This one was brief due to it being ripped off a page from the overall book. No idea of the further context, or what time is it, but at least the mystery stains didn't smudge the writings at all…)

By the gods, they are everywhere.

The dead is easy to kill, but for every corpse I made ten more rush in to take their place. Many were as skilled as they were alive, and I've expended far too much energy and ammo to last this long.

That…thing that was chasing me. A zombie of prodigious size, commanded by a tiny child-like necromancer. I manage to incapacitate the massive zombie on my own, but the roar of the living dead makes my prospect of survival bleak.

No matter. This mansion has an exit, guarded by a wall of undead flesh. Either I pierce through the army of the living dead, or face off the titanic zombie I saw down there in the dungeon. I'll take my chances against the army. A large crowd, but still slow and predictable.

I did not come this far to die now. I found a stash of healing herbs and a sturdy Goedendag nearby. If I play my card right, I can perhaps escape this place with nary a scratch.

(So THAT'S why the graveyard is full of truly dead corpses! Way to go brother! He really made his ancestral blood proud. If he's dead after literally slaughtering a small army of zombies, I would've been absolutely pissed. No matter. He escaped; I know he does. Now, all I have to do is continue my search for him.)
