Chapter 4
She woke up and realized that something fluffy and warm was beside her. "Hmm?" She thought.
Wolf was curled up beside her sleeping. Oh, so he didn't ditch me, I wonder why he left so
suddenly, She thought. She got up and sat down on a rock. She looked at Wolf as he continued
to sleep on the tree, he sort of looked cute and cuddly for some reason. Sometime later, he
woke up, "*Yawns* Oh hello." He said sleepily. "Gonna tell me why you ditched me?" Ari said,
crossing her arms. "Oh, um I didn't ditch you." He said blushing embarrassed, "I had to go #2."
He said. She sat there silent and then burst out laughing, "You could of told me, instead of just
disappearing like that." She said. "It's really not funny, I wasn't having a very fun time." He said
frowning. "T.M.I. Jesus, I don't need to know the details, ok?" She said. "Right, so as I was
saying, I was showing you these berries." She said. Wolf groaned, "Ugh, you know the only
thing I care about is meat, right?" He said scratching behind his ear with his claw. "But trust me,
these berries are really good, you have to try them!" He sighed, "Fine, but only because you
won't shut up." He got up and walked over to Ari. "Here take some." She said holding a handful
of berries. He took one, sniffed at it, and then put it in his mouth. "So…how is it?" She said.
He chewed on the berry slowly, "Um…idk…" He suddenly lifted up his ears and smiled, "Wait…"
He said lifting up a finger. "Can I have some more?" Ari gave him another berry. "Oh my god, I
just can't stop eating these!" He said a few moments later, "How are these so good!" He said
while wagging his tail furiously. "Oh, so you admit it, you like them don't you?" Ari said, smirking.
"What, nooo…" He said, trying not to admit he likes them. "Fine, I like them, can I have more?"
He said. "Sorry, but you ate the last of them." He whined, "Aw man, but they were so good."
"We can pick more later." She said. She stood there awkwardly for a few seconds. "So, what do
you wanna do?" Ari said feeling a bit bored. "I don't know." Wolf replied, looking up at the sky.
"Oh, would you look at that, my favorite time of day, afternoon." The sun was hovering close to
the horizon, casting golden light throughout the forest. "Beautiful…" Ari said in amazement. She
Walked to a cliff and on the ground and wolf walked over and sat beside her, they were like that
for a few minutes. "Hey wolf?" Ari said. Wolf stared at the sky and twitched his ears, "Yeah?"
He replied. Ari sighed and looked down, "Do…you ever feel…lonely." She said softly. Wolf
turned his head to her. "Sometimes…" He said and turned his head back. "You never told me,
why don't you have any friends?" Wolf said. "Because I'm different…nobody likes me…they
think I'm weird and ugly." She said looking away, she didn't want him to see the tears well up in
her eyes, the pain she felt was unbearable. "Well I guess you and I have something in common,
we are both different from everybody else." Wolf said as he wrapped his tail around Ari in a
comforting way. "And to be honest, I don't think you look ugly at all…you're sort of…pretty." He
said looking down and blushing. Ari turned to Wolf and blushed a little, "Thanks." She said.
"Y'know, you remind me of someone." Ari said, looking back to the sky. "Who is it?" Wolf said
curiously, tilting his head. "You remind me of my mother." Ari said smiling. "How do I remind you
of your mom?" Wolf said. "My mom always supported me, she would always say I was beautiful
and that It didn't matter what other people thought…I miss her." She said. Wolf looked at her
and gave her a worried look, "Is she…" Ari wiped her eyes, "Yes, she died of cancer when I was
12." Wolf scooted closer to her, "I'm sorry…" He said. "And your dad?" Ari scoffed, "He left me
when I was 4 because he couldn't bear to look at my ugly face." Wolf growled, "What a terrible
Father." He said. "I know right?" Ari said, agreeing. "Well your childhood isn't worse than mine, I
was abandoned when I was a baby." Wolf said. "I had normal human parents like you, but I was
born under the blood moon." Ari turned to look at him, "Really?" Wolf nodded. "I guess we do
have something in common." Ari said, as she leaned against Wolf. They continued to sit like
that, watching the sun slowly go down. (AwWwWwWwWwW)
