Hiccup grins "hi."

Fishlegs gape in shock "Hiccup?"

Snotlout ask "what do you mean boyfriend? Your supposed to be with me, Astrid!"

Astrid ask "why would I date an idiot instead of a genius?"

Snotlout scowls "who cares about having brains when you can fight with strength?"

Astrid sternly says "I rather date Hiccup over you, Snotlout."

Snotlout grins "soon your parents will accept my parent's offer to engage us."

Astrid ask "why can't you accept the fact that I don't want to date or marry you?"

Snotlout gape "I'm the heir now and I choose you to become my wife."

Astrid grumbles "sorry to crush your dreams, but I'm staying with Hiccup because I like him and your going to accept it or Hiccup can humiliate you in a duel. You would lose honor and respect of this village."

Snotlout scowls "don't think this is over yet, Astrid" and leaves with Tuffnut and Ruffnut.

Fishlegs ask "where have you been for a year?"

Hiccup answers "in Japan learning sword fighting."

At Night Hiccup work in the forge making a pendant.

Two hours later, he finished carving the pendant with his and Astrid's initials on the back.

Astrid walked inside the forge and ask "what are you working on to be working after quiet hours?"

Hiccup turns around and says "I'm not working on anything."

Astrid smirks "yes you are. Your nervous and that means it's a surprise for me."

Hiccup turns around and answers "okay, you got me. It is a surprise but I was going to surprise you on a date."

Astrid ask "is the surprise finished?"

Hiccup shakes his head "no, I have to get a chain for it."

Astrid widen her eyes "oh, Hiccup. Show me it, now."

Hiccup sighs and turns around, picking up the pendant and shows her "I wanted to surprise you with this betrothal necklace to ask you to marry me. And we can announce it after my exile ends?"

Astrid takes the pendant from him and says take off your mask so I can kiss you."

Hiccup takes off his mask to reveal a handsome face.

Astrid blushes "kinda hot, Hiccup."

Hiccup grabs her by her waist and kisses her lips.

Astrid return home with the pendant in her hand.

Brynhild sternly ask "where have you been young lady?"

Magnus comments "it's late passed curfew hours."

Astrid answers "I seen the forge light on and went to check it out. Hiccup was working on a present for me for our date tomorrow."

Brynhild ask "did he finish it?"

Astrid grins "yes and I need a chain or string."

Magnus ask "he made you a necklace as your present?"

Astrid grins "yep."

Brynhild sighs "time for bed."

In the morning, Hiccup woke up next to Toothless on his old bed.

They get up and go downstairs to eat breakfast.

Hiccup ate oatmeal and walk out back to see a barrel marked for Toothless and dumps it to feed him.

He walks back inside and upstairs to search for Astrid's gift to find it not here and says "I probably left it at home."

He leaves and grabs Toothless and fly back to dragon island to grab Astrid's gift.

Noon came.

Astrid returned from training in the forest and walked home to shower.

After she finished her shower and got dressed, she walks downstairs and goes looking for Hiccup in the forge.

She put on her betrothal necklace and tucked it under her shirt for hiding.

Gobber was working in the forge alone.

Astrid ask "is Hiccup here?"

Gobber shakes his head "sorry, but no he isn't here."

Astrid sighs and walks upto Stoick's house to check.

She finds no Hiccup at home and ask "where did he go?"

She leaves walking down the hill to see Hiccup and Toothless land in the square center of the village and runs upto them.

Hiccup gets off of Toothless's saddle.

Astrid scowls "and where did you run off to, mister?"

Hiccup answers "okay, I see your mad at me for leaving without informing anyone, but I left your other present at home."

Astrid ask "you got me another present? When did you make it?"

Hiccup answers "two weeks ago."

Astrid ask "and you were planning on visiting me soon?"

Hiccup answers "yes or you would be missing me."

Astrid ask "can I open it?"

Hiccup answers "sure."

Astrid unwrapped it to reveal a double bladed ax and ask "what's the difference?"

Hiccup smiles "well this one is made of Gronckle Iron. Indestructible, stronger than steel and can slice through enemy weapons. I figured my fiance could use an update ax."

Astrid grins "this could be considered a betrothal gift."

Hiccup comments "that's yours. I plan on making a set of weapons for your parents as a marriage contract."

Astrid grins "I'm going to go try it out right now."

Hiccup left with Toothless to go to the forge to work on weapons.

Three hours later.

Snotlout stop by the forge and ask "useless? Where's my fiance?"

Hiccup ask "excuse me, but I thought Astrid told you that she chose me to marry."

Snotlout grumbles "I'm the heir. So I can pick any girl I want and my marriage contract overruled your commoner proposal."

Hiccup sighs "you really are dumb."

Astrid return to the forge and says "hey, Hiccup? I love the new axe."

Snotlout ask "you made my betrothal a new axe when she won't be using them because she will be a house wife."

Astrid slaps Snotlout and scowls "pig. I don't want anything to do with you. And I'll never be your house wife."

Snotlout grabs her by her throat and scowls "listen here, I'm the heir and what I tell you to do, you do it like a submitted little girl."

Hiccup took a small hammer and hit Snotlout on his head knocking him unconscious and scowls "I don't appreciate you putting your hands on Astrid and neither would her parents."

Astrid grabs Hiccup's collar and pulls him into a kiss.

Six days later.

The Meathead Tribe arrives at Berk.

Chief Mogadon ask "have you had any dragon raids lately?"

Stoick answers "no. Not since my son killed the Red Death."
