Chapter Three

Planning

Nelsha slowly opened the door to the safe room that was displayed on the digital screen Vi presented to both her and Izumi. She carefully used her blade and used the reflection from it to scan the room. So far there wasn't anyone inside as she quickly opened the door fully and motioned for Izumi to enter. The green-haired girl rushes inside as the lesser fellpool locks the door behind them and lets out a sigh of relief. The moment she turned her attention onto the room she noticed that it was some sort of break room that had a table, refrigerator, a TV hanging against the wall, and a vending machine with snacks and drinks inside of it.

"We'll be safe here for a while," Nelsha said before hearing the sounds of something being teleported into the room. Turning around she saw a pulse rifle, revolver, a heavy-looking shield, a longsword that looked futuristic, and a second set of clothes on the table.

"The extra set of clothes is for Ms. Midoriya. Not a good idea to have her run around naked." Vi said as Nelsha handed her the set of clothes. From what Midoriya could tell, the clothes she was given were a black long-sleeve shirt with her shoulder and sides exposed slightly and a hoodie with what she could guess were bunny ears on it, navy-blue colored shorts with black leg warmers attached to them, stripe of cloth going down the front and back part of her shorts along with straps on the side, a pair of dark-green colored shoes, training fingerless gloves, knee pads, and arm pads. The young girl examines her new clothing before looking over at Nelsha.

"Wow, this is…I don't even know how to describe this."

"These clothes were suited for training purposes. The material that the clothes are made up of can only be found in the Kronos Military space station and the ship that I'm currently operating from." He said as Izumi began to get herself dressed. "They can absorb eighty percent of blunt, slash, and piercing attacks, magical attacks, radiation nullification, auto-recovery system, and poison nullification."

"...I'm sorry, but…how can something like this even exist!?"

"Would you believe that I'm an alien from another world?" Nelsha answered as it caused Izumi to have a blank expression on her face.

"...You're joking…right…I mean, there's no way you can be an alien from space…right?"

"Pretty sure your planet could make or do what I just did." She said before pointing a finger at the hologram of Vi. "From what he told me, this planet isn't as high-tech as most planets I've visited."

"...I…think I need something to eat," Izumi said after finishing dressing. Upon saying that, the lesser fellpool made her way to the vending machine. Once there she pointed a finger at the coin slot, electricity flowed from her finger, and into the machine. The vending machine lit up for a couple of seconds as two candy bars, two packs of chips, and two cans of soda fell out of the machine and onto Nelsha's tail as she caught them. The lesser fellpool walked over to Izumi and she handed her a can of soda and a bag of chips. "Um…thanks."

"Don't mention it," Nelsha said as she brought the other can of soda close to her and quickly sliced the top open with her hand. "I know it's a lot to take in. But fear not, I'm not here to invade your planet or anything involving world domination."

"Well, that's good to know…I think?" She said after taking a sip from her drink. "But if you're not planning on taking over the world, what are you doing here? Especially in a place like this?"

"I work for a military group called Kronos. We pretty much protect certain sections of the galaxy from evildoers. Like the police only on a much larger scale than just a country, state, or planet. My job within Kronos is to search, catalog, and recruit planets or other aliens into joining Kronos."

"Is that why you're on Earth?"

"Kind of. You see, I ended up crashing here on Earth due to going through a wormhole after getting into a fight with a bunch of space pirates-"

"Wait, space pirates are real!?"

"Well yeah. I mean almost seventy-five percent of movies that Earthlings have made are real. But that's beside the point. I ended up here because of that and I can't return to HQ due to the fact this planet is not on the list of planets that are in Kronos's database. Meaning that if I were to leave this planet, I would be lost in space for a long time."

"So you're stuck here with no means of communicating back to your…planet," Izumi said as Nelsha nodded.

"Vi's sending out wave frequencies via a probe to see if we can get in contact with Kronos. Hence why the ship is in outer space and I'm stuck here in this place." She said before noticing a confused expression on Izumi's face. "The wormhole pretty much teleported me here."

"Okay, that makes more sense…I think?"

"Try not to think too hard about it. Especially now seeing how you're kind of recovering from your previous ordeal with the villain in charge of this place."

"Right…" Izumi took another sip from her soda before quickly opening the bag of chips and devouring them.

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you end up in a place like this?" Nelsha asked as Izumi let out a loud belch before turning her attention back onto the lesser fellpool.

"I…Don't remember." She answered with a somewhat defeated expression on her face. "I can barely remember anything other than my name. Everything else is…like a blur or I can see it, but can't make out what it is. All I do know is that I hate this place and I want to leave. Are you sure you're willing to help me?"

"Well yeah, can't just ignore a person who's in need, and I did make a vow to help you." She said before turning her attention to Vi. "How far are we from the surface?"

"You're about ten floors away from the surface." He said before showing her a digital version of the facility they're in. "From what I could gather from the control pad without being detected, you're currently on the tenth floor. It's where they keep their experiments or soon-to-be Nomu."

"You mean those weird-looking people with their brains showing?" Izumi asked as the lesser fellpool nodded.

"They were planning on making you into one." She said as Izumi grimaced at the thought of becoming a nomu.

"Indeed. So far you're the only living person that hasn't been turned into one of them at this time. Everyone else is either a scientist or security guard meant to keep you or anyone else from escaping or discovering this place."

"And how many people are in this place besides Izumi and me?"

"One-thousand personnel are currently in this facility. Thirty of them are scientists, the other nine-hundred sixty-eight are security guards, while the other two were the scientist and All for One that we saw before."

"Hm, recommendation?"

"I have a few, but that would depend on you. This world has a "No killing" policy for heroes. Japan especially. Granted seeing how you're fifteen, you'll get a slap on the wrist given the situation you're in, but most likely be labeled as a villain and problem child."

"...Man this planet is weird."

"If it makes you feel better, other countries aren't that way when it comes to people killing villains in self-defense."

"Not making me feel better…to some degree. But do we have any other options?"

"There's the ventilation system, but you'll need to get to the fifth floor. Floors ten to seven vents are too small and narrow for you two to fight through them."

"Anything else?"

"Distraction. You remember the control panel that was in the room where you found Ms. Midoriya in. If you can log me into it like before, I can program the Nomus to go out of control and attack people within range."

"You can do that?" Izumi asked as the AI nodded.

"I can, but it won't last long. You'll have an open window to move around for a good thirty minutes or so, so that will get you to the fifth floor where the vents are located," he said as Nelsha looked over at Izumi.

"Your thoughts on this?"

"Well it sounds like a well-thought-out plan, but what if they placed countermeasures for something like that? That would throw the distraction plan out the window. Not to mention that what if they have people checking where I was due to a silent alarm or hidden security cameras when you freed me?"

"...Vi?"

"Already took care of it when I hacked into the control pad, but it won't last forever. Hence why I suggested the option of distraction."

"Problem solved then," Nelsha said with a grin on her face. "So all we have to do is head back to the room we were in, set the Nomus free, and go on a rampage, and then it's a free trip through the vents to freedom. Though there might be some fighting involved…wait, do you know how to fight?"

"A little bit. I mean I know how to throw a punch and hit someone with a metal pole if that helps. But other than that, that's pretty much it. They won't let you do stuff in this place other than experiment on you or train you to do something with your quirk."

"Something is better than nothing I suppose." She said before looking over at Vi. "After you program the Nomus, mind sending a message to this planet's police force and heroes about an underground facility?"

"That shouldn't be a problem."

"Excellent, then we have a plan of escape," Nelsha said before looking over at Izumi. "We still have some time before we can leave. Might as well rest up a bit before leaving."

"I-I'm fine. There's no need for me to rest up a bit." Before Izumi could finish her sentence, the sound of her stomach growling echoed throughout the room as it caused her face to blush red in embarrassment. The lesser fellpool smirked upon hearing this as she tapped a few buttons on the vending machine and pulled out a couple more snacks before handing her some. "...I think I should eat a bit more food before we head out."

"I think so too."
