It was a late rainy night, Jyn was home alone... All was quiet, until she heard loud pounding on the door. Jyn jumped out of fear, then crept over to the door. "Who is it?" She said into the speaker, "It's me." A males voice responded. She sighed in relief, as she knew who it was, but she wanted to make sure, and perhaps give him a hard time. "What's the password?" she asked once again into the speaker: "Jyn, this is ridiculous. He stated, then decided to give in, "It's Stardust." The man answered.
With a click of a button, the doors slid open, revealing the man. It was Cassian. He wore a heavy waterproof coat, and had his head hidden by a hood. "You're early." Jyn told him, "I was expecting you tomorrow. "Well, things went smoothly this time." He told her, rubbing his neck. "But look at what I have," He then reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small satchel, "Our credits. He said and tossed them into Jyn's hands.
Jyn caught the satchel, and opened it up. "How much?" She asked curiously; "One thousand Credits." He revealed, causing Jyn to gasp, but also wonder... Just before she opened her mouth, she thought it better not to ask, "Why don't you get ready for bed? Get all cleaned up, and I'll meet you in there." She said instead. Cassian placed a kiss on her forehead, "If that's what you wish, Mi amör."
(10 minute time skip)
Jyn grabbed a glass off the night table, and walked to the bathroom. She wanted to fill her water glass before bed. Right as she got to the doorway, she stopped, and merely peeked around the corner. Cassian was standing at the sink, wrapping a clean bandage around his arm, about halfway up from the wrist. She took a deep breath, and stepped forward. "Mi amor?" Cassian said, and turned around with a confused look, "What's with that face?" The expression he was talking about was the one that Jyn only wore when she was dead serious about something. "What happened, and where did it come from?" She questioned, shifting her gaze from his arm, and into his eyes. Cassian knew there was no way around this, no excuse could save his butt.
Cassian ran his hand through his thick hair, " may have gotten into a fight..." "MAY have?" Jyn countered, "Fine, I did get into a fight. A bar fight. She rubbed her hand across her face, and took a deep breath, "A bar? Cassian, why were you in a bar in the first place?" "It wasn't a pleasure trip, I assure you that. And for the record, I didn't start the fight." he explained to her. "Well you were certainly involved. " was looking for someone, and I was told I might find a lead at this bar-I did, but I also was accused of Spying! "Well Cassian, were you?" "No. I tried to make that clear, but I couldn't get the message across to this guy. He pushed me, I shoved him, then he tripped me. I scratched my arm when I hit the floor. Then I left with what I had."
- Jyn stood quietly in her place, a tear rolled down her cheek; "Jyn, Mi Amor, why are you crying?" Cassian whispered softly - " missed you. And I just haven't felt like myself." She sniffled. Cassian opened his arms, inviting her to hug him. She accepted, wrapping her arms around him, as did he. His warm embrace comforted her, she felt safe, when he was gone, she didn't have that. After a couple minutes had passed, he looked down at her, "How about we go to bed?" Jyn nodded, and wiped her eyes, they then made their way to bed.
The end…. for now. 😏
