Chapter Five
The Holder of All For One
The nomus that were guarding the exit to the facility were standing motionless. Unphased by the alarms going off as they continued to stand and attack anything that wasn't part of the following people they were programmed to not attack. It was at this time that the sound of a gunshot went off, but was silenced by the alarm as the bullets pierced their chest. The nomos didn't move for a moment, but within a matter of seconds, they both fell to the ground making a loud thud and shaking the ground a bit. They started to twitch and gurgle for a moment before going limp as black sludge leaked out from their mouths and eyes.
"Black Bullet. No one can survive something like that." Nelsha said as she and Izumi made their way to the exit while moving past the motionless bodies of the nomus.
"It's a bit sickening that something like this exists," Izumi said as she backed away from the black sludge that was leaking. "Aren't you a bit worried that they could use this stuff against you?"
"Not really. I'm immune to this kind of poison because my tribe eats this stuff when we have to hunt animals with said poison…it also gives us immunity to just about almost all poison." She said before using her gauntlet to scan the door. "Plus the stuff vanishes once it makes contact with oxygen on this planet." She said before hearing the sound of something sizzling. Looking over at the nomus, she notices that their bodies are disintegrating within seconds. "Come in handy when you want to clean up a mess, but it gives off a rancid oil smell."
"I kind of noticed." She said as the human covered her nose.
"Vi, think you can unlock the door for us?"
"I can, but it'll take about five to ten minutes to get done," Vi answered, which caused Nelsha to groan a bit. "Though you will be busy during that time."
"...What do you mean by that?" Izumi asked as Nelsha's ears twitched upon hearing footsteps heading toward them. The lesser fellpool quickly tackled Izumi to the ground as black and red colored tendrils shot out from the darkness of the hallway they exit out of and slammed into the iron doors of the exit.
"My, my. I'm a bit impressed at your reaction time," said AFO as he slowly made his way from the darkness of the hallway. "You must have an impressive quirk to react that quickly."
"Would you believe that it's years of training and natural talent?" Nelsha said as she looked down at Izumi, who was shaking in fear. "You okay?"
"Y-Yes…n-no…I don't know." She said as she felt the lesser fellpool pull her up.
"Ah, young Midoriya. You escaped from your chambers yet again." AFO said as he took a step forward, causing Izumi to quickly hide behind Nelsha. "It seems you haven't learned your lesson like last time. I'll have to personally teach you about what happens when you go against someone who's trying to make you part of a greater good." He was about to take another step but stopped as Nelsha fired off a warning shot at his foot.
"That's as far as you'll go, All For One," Nelsha said as she quickly reloaded her revolver and aimed it at the man in the suit. "Take another step, and the next bullet will go into your head."
"So, you heard about me?"
"Japan's number one villain and underground crime lord? Yeah, it's not that hard to gather information on you."
"What information? You're just lying your ass off just to stall time for me." Vi said as it caused Nelsha to roll her eyes at the AI's comment.
"Curious. What hero agency do you work for? Sir Nighteye? Endeavor? Or some kind of underground vigilante organization?"
"Sorry, but my parents told me not to talk to adult strangers. Especially ones that make artificial humans with different quirks, or turn random innocent bystanders into nomus." She said before feeling Izumi's hold on her increase more.
"Are you sure you want to say something like that?" AFO asked as he took a step forward again. The lesser fellpool took another shot at him, only for it to bounce off his body due to a hardening quirk AFO has. "Especially in this case where you two have no means of escaping. I recommend giving up. Because I have a lot of questions that I would like for you to answer." He said before making the barrier vanish. "I prefer not to do it by force, but should you choose not to answer them, I will make you tell me by other means."
"Dammit, I was hoping I could get out of this the easy way, but I guess the hard way will have to do." She said before placing her gun back into the holster strapped to her hip. The lesser fellpool turned her attention to Izumi as she reached into her pocket and placed a small hexagon-shaped device on her chest. "Stay near the door, and don't move until the doors open."
"Wait, what are you going to do?" The human asked as she noticed Nelsha pressing the device as a barrier appeared around her.
"Simple, I'm going to fight him." She said before placing the same barrier around herself. Izumi simply stared at her in disbelief as the lesser fellpool spoke up again to break Izumi out of her daze. "What?"
"You can't be serious? You can't win against someone like him!" She yelled before looking over at AFO who was staring at them. "I've seen how strong he is. Especially when he showed me what happens to those that don't follow his orders. They become a bloody mess of parts!"
"Well surrendering is out of the option, plus I did say that I would get you out of this place. And I never back down on my word when it comes to stuff like this." She said before turning her attention onto AFO. "Vi, mind doing a scan to see if he has anything that could give me the upper hand in this fight?"
"You'll need to stall him for a few minutes. Think you can last for that long?"
"If I can handle being in a war for five years of my life, I'm pretty sure I can handle this human." She said before taking a few steps forwards. "I just need to get in close to do that move."
"So you're planning on fighting me. A shame really, and here I thought I wouldn't have to get my hands dirty."
"You shouldn't underestimate someone you meet. Especially when you don't know who they are." Nelsha said as AFO noticed the alien's hand glowing a dark-purplish color. She soon slams her hands onto the ground as a dark circle appears around AFO before engulfing him in dark flames. "Nether Strike!" She yelled as the intensity of the flames grew more to the point where it was now a pillar of dark flames hitting the ceiling of the room they were in.
As the flames consumed AFO, Nelsha noticed something moving and she quickly jumped to the side to avoid the oncoming attack. Looking at what came out, she noticed black & red color tendrils embedded into the floor before pulling back. She looked over at AFO as the flames she created died off. It revealed the man was covered in a strange ooze-like substance around himself. The ooze slowly began to evaporate as a grin appeared on AFO's face.
"That flame attack was quite interesting. Had I not coated myself in the ooze to reduce the damage of that attack, I might've not been able to recover from that afterward." He said before brushing off some dirt from his arm sleeve. "But something like that isn't going to work on me." He said before extending a hand towards Nelsha and firing off black tendrils at the lesser fellpool again. The moment she dodge the attack again, she soon felt suspended in mid-air.
"Shit, he can use telekinesis as well." Nelsha thought as she noticed the tendrils coming at her, but soon bounced off her body and embedded themselves into the ground, wall, or ceiling. "Never thought I would be glad to have that barrier device on me this time."
"Very interesting. So you can hold multiple quirks as well. I'm sure the good doctor will find you interesting to make into a Nomu." He said before tossing Nelsha off to the side. The lesser fellpool quickly recovered as she landed on the wall she was about to crash into. Nelsha soon looked up at AFO as she soon launched herself at him. The moment she was a few feet close to him, the villain raised his hand in an attempt to grab her like before but missed due to the lesser fellpool creating a dimensional door in front of her as she vanished from his field of vision. The man was taken by surprise by this as he scanned the area to see where Nelsha had disappeared to. Within a matter of seconds, he turned around to see that the girl appeared behind him and countered with a blast of compressed air.
"Dimension Door!" She yelled before swinging her sword that was covered in pale red color energy. The moment her attack made contact with the burst of air, the compressed air was cut in two as the dimensional slicer sliced off AFO's right arm the moment he tried to back away from Nelsha. "Damn, I was hoping to cut you in two with that attack." She thought before noticing him getting some distance away from her as she noticed his arm growing back slowly. "And he can regenerate. Wonderful."
"I have the data that you've requested," Vi said as Nelsha grins upon hearing this. "Given what I was able to scan, this man is like a cesspool of different quirks. Though what's interesting is that each quirk that he has is what's keeping him alive. Well, that and the respirator he has on his face."
"Explain Vi."
"From what I've gathered, thanks to the internet of this facility. While normally it would be impossible for a human of this planet to hold multiple quirks, he on the other hand can hold a lot of quirks ranging from quirks that allow enhanced vision, regeneration, and body manipulation to where he could make more arms and shoot bones out of his body to be used as a weapon."
"That would explain how he knew where I would appear. Got any suggestions on dealing with him?"
"Given his regenerative ability, I would recommend using black bullets, but that proves to be ineffective due to what he did before with his ability to harden his skin. Not to mention he could use that strange ooze to reduce the speed of the bullet and it would cause your sword to slide off him and miss its mark. If the laws of magic and science apply, then using a spell would counter his regenerative ability."
"I see, guess I'm going to have to use that spell," Nelsha said as she turned her attention to AFO. The moment his arm regenerated he fired off another compressed burst of air at Nelsha. The lesser fellpool quickly jumps into the air and brings her sword up once again. Dark energy surged into the sword as she soon tossed it at him. "Flying Guillotine!" She yelled as she tossed her sword at AFO in a spinning fashion. The suited man took notice of the oncoming attack as he quickly stopped the blade with his telekinetic power. In doing so, the blade was stopped, inches away from the man's face. A grin appeared on his face as he looked over at Nelsha and sent her sword back at her. The lesser fellpool quickly ducked underneath the blade but used her tail to grab it as it went past her. The moment she looked up, she saw AFO in front of her and she quickly backed away. Only to feel frozen in mid-air as she struggles to break free from AFO's telekinetic grip.
"Much as I enjoyed this little sparring match, I have to put this to an end." He said as Nelsha noticed AFO's right arm twitching. "Springlike limbs, plus a multiplier, hypertrophy, spearlike bones, kinetic booster, strength enhancer, razor blade." The alien's eyes widened upon seeing AFO's malformed arm as it radiated with power from what her instincts were telling her. She soon notices the man bringing his fist back before quickly delivering an earth-devastating punch to her chest. The sound of her barrier being cracked echoed in the area she was in as she was sent flying back over to where Izumi was, who quickly jumps out of the way of the flying alien hitting the metal door. Nelsha let out a gasp of air before slowly falling to the ground with a loud thud. Izumi took notice of this as she quickly rushed over to the gasping alien. AFO smirked at his accomplishment in injuring the alien as his arm returned to normal, but the sleeve of the arm was ruined. "I only held back because I prefer not to have the doors burst open or worse, have your remains splattered all over the place. Now, this is your last chance to surrender. Less I kill you and force Midoriya to watch like I've done multiple times."
"Okay, I was not expecting that!" Nelsha thought as she slowly pulled herself up. "Were it not for the barrier Kronos made, I would've had my entrails splattered around the room as he said." The lesser fellpool looked over at Midoriya who was shivering in fear from what AFO said. A sigh escaped her mouth as she reached behind herself to pull out a large shield, which was about the same height as herself. After taking a few deep breaths she soon slams her shield standing on the ground and pressed a button on the handle part of the shield. Once activated, a barrier appeared around herself and Izumi.
"Just a heads up, the doors to this facility are open now," Vi said as he appeared in between the two girls. The moment he said that Nelsha and Izumi heard the doors to the facility slowly open. "I would advise you to escape, but something tells me that our friend wouldn't allow it."
"Yeah, I-I kind of figured," Nelsha said as she clapped her hands together. "I'm going to make sure he doesn't even try to come after us."
"What are you talking about?" Izumi asked. "We should run, like right now."
"As Vi said, he would just come after us." She said as Izumi noticed Nelsha's hands glowing like before, but it was different. Weird writing started to appear around the lesser fellpool as she blinked in surprise at this. "So burning him to ash will be the most suitable way to make sure he doesn't come after us anytime soon."
"It's a bit surprising to see you were able to stand after getting hit with enough force to give All Might a run for his money. But even still, you won't be escaping this." He said before enlarging his arms as he did with his right arm. "But I think I gave you courtesy long enough. Now, parish if you would be so kind." With that, the older man launched himself towards the two with his fists brought back. The moment he appeared near the barrier, he soon slammed his fist into the barrier. The barrier flashed for a moment as AFO soon felt himself being sent flying backward from the force behind the barrier. Izumi's eyes widened upon seeing this as she looked over at Nelsha who was sweating from the spell she was preparing to cast.
"I know this is a bit much, but how did you deflect his attack like that?" Izumi asked as Nelsha looked over at her.
"Kronos technology mixed with symbology from my world," Nelsha said before seeing AFO returning as he delivered a barrage of punches to the barrier. "I'd be willing to go into detail about it, but now is not the time for it."
"Do you think you can keep this up? Surely you know that even if you do escape from here, I will have people come after you both." He said before clasping his hands together and bringing them down on the barrier. "There won't be anywhere you can hide. My loyal subordinates will do whatever it takes to get you both no matter who they have to kill. Can you bear with the fact that people will die because of you two?"
"Geez, you do like to talk a lot do you?" Nelsha asked as the words surrounding them both glowed even brighter. "I don't know what the end goal is with Izumi, but something tells me it can't be good for her. So I'm going to be taking her with me once I'm done with you."
"And you think you can escape!?" He asked as the barrier Nelsha made started to crack. "Where will you go Midoriya!? You have no home to go to! No family to return to! How will you survive out there in the world!? Especially if they find out where you came from!"
Nelsha looked over at Izumi who had a painful expression on her face from hearing his words. The lesser fellpool used her tail to tap the human on the shoulder to get her attention. The moment Izumi looked up at her, she noticed a smile on her face which was odd given the situation they were in at the moment.
"I made you a promise, remember? I said I'm going to get you out of here, and I will." She said before looking back at AFO. "I know we just met and all, but do you trust?"
"...Honestly, I don't know…but I'd rather take my chances with you than spend another day in this place…So just this once. I'm going to place my trust in you in getting us out of here." Izumi said as the lesser fellpool grinned.
"Alright, time to burn this idiot to the ground!" Nelsha yelled as she placed the sword her tail was holding back into the sheath hooked onto her waist belt. More and more cracks started to appear on the dome barrier that Nelsha made as AFO continued his assault. It was only when he slammed his fist into the barrier one last time was when the barrier broke.
"Now die!" He yelled as he was inches away from crushing Nelsha's face with his fist. In a split second, the lesser fellpool moved her head to the right to avoid the punch.
"The sapphire light burns deep into Hell," Nelsha said as AFO felt something below him pushing him back. The sound of his flesh burning was followed by fire forming around him in different directions as he was sent flying into the air. "Witness their sins and call forth the day of judgment!" The flames would continue to bombard AFO before forming a sphere around him as it started to shrink in size. "Pale Flare!" With a snap of her fingers, the sphere that imprisoned the man exploded as the area they were in started to melt from the heat or catch on fire due to getting hit by the explosion.
The explosion caused Izumi's eyes to close due to the bright light and intense heat. Within a matter of seconds, she slowly opened her eyes as she stared in shock at the damage Nelsha caused with that attack. She soon looked over at Nelsha who kneeled on the ground while panting. The young girl was about to say something but soon heard the sound of something sloppy hitting the ground. The two looked up to see a malformed figure slowly walking out of the crater the alien made. From what they could tell, his body had arms, bones, and razor blades sticking out of his body. The mask he had on was melted into his face which was making it hard for him to breathe, the suit that he had on was burned or molded into his flesh, and it looked like parts of his body were covered in that strange ooze substance from before that was both in liquid and solid form.
"Wow…I was not expecting you to survive that spell." Nelsha said as she reached for her gun and took aim at the man.
"I…have to admit. I underestimated you, child." AFO said as Nelsha noticed the man falling onto one knee and letting out a coughing fit before continuing. "Not since the battle with All Might have I been injured this badly. I dear say you had me use just about every quirk I have to prevent myself from being burned alive."
"That would explain why you survive that and look like a pile of mash potatoes if cooked by a feather folk with no cooking experience." She said before noticing the black tendrils slowly coming out of his body.
"I won't be able to move after this fight. But I'll at least have two suitable hosts to implant my consciousness into for the time being." He said as the black tendrils shot out from his body and were headed towards Nelsha and Izumi.
"Aim for his throat. That's the only place where it's vulnerable at this time." Vi ordered as the lesser fellpool took aim and fired the black bullet into the man's throat. The moment the bullet came in contact with his body, the object burst open as the poison quickly spread throughout his body. The tendrils soon stopped just as they were about to impale themselves into the duo before vanishing into dust. The sound of him coughing and gagging can be heard as he placed what they could guess was his hand on his throat. The lesser fellpool notices black blotches appearing on AFO's body as a smirk appears on her face.
"Don't think you can regenerate from a highly corrosive poison that eats away at the protein within your body," Nelsha said as she staggered to her feet and made her way over to AFO. Once she was in front of him, the man would try to grab the lesser fellpool, but the arm he was trying to reach her melted into a black liquid substance. "By now all your major organs are failing, and I doubt you can speak anymore." She said before removing the gauntlet she had on her hand as she revealed it to be black with dark purple crack-like lines on it. It gave off a sickly purple glow as she slowly inserted her hand into the chest of AFO. In a matter of seconds, she pulls out a red and black colored orb. She scans the orb for a moment before dispelling the darkness from the orb and placing it into her pocket. "In honor of a worthy fight, I will carry your powers with me to help advance the Kronos Military. Goodbye, All For One."
The man tried once again to attack Nelsha, but couldn't as more and more of his body started to turn into a black liquid substance. In a matter of seconds, the man who used to be All For One was reduced to nothing more than a liquid mess. Once he was turned into a liquid, Nelsha extended a hand towards his remains and set them on fire. Izumi blinked in surprise at this as she looked over at the alien with a confused expression on her face.
"Can't have them trying to make a clone of the guy and have him come after us." She said before walking over to her shield and lifting it. "Can you stand?"
"Y-Yeah, I can stand," Izumi said as she pulled herself up from the floor. It was obvious by the expression on her face that she was taken by surprise by what Nelsha did. The tech she used, the quirk she displayed, just who on earth was this girl? "I have a lot of questions that I would like for you to answer."
"I'm willing to answer them, but we should leave before someone else comes along and attacks us," Nelsha said as she walked over to the doors and slowly began to open thanks to Vi's assistance. "Vi, are the authorities on this planet coming here?"
"They'll be here within a few hours. Which I would recommend getting out asap."
"Alright, then we're done here," Nelsha said as made the shield disappear. She soon looked over at Izumi who was looking back at the facility. "You okay? I'm hoping you're not having second thoughts about leaving this place."
"N-No! God no…I'm just…this feels like a dream or something." She said before slightly pinching herself. "I've been trying to escape this place for so long. Yet it took the assistance of an alien from another world to escape…I don't even know what to say."
"You're welcome, now let's get the hell out of here before the police come here." She said before moving over to pick Izumi up bridal style and began to exit the facility.
"H-Hey!? I-I can walk you know!?"
"Yes, but you're taking too damn long to move. So I'll be carrying you for a couple of miles before teleporting off." She said before turning her attention to Vi. "Yo, how long until the next city or something?"
"About three hours, two if you're willing to run a couple of miles due north."
"And why can't you teleport us out of here?" Izumi asked.
"Rule number five hundred sixty-eight. When exploring a planet, it's best to keep a low profile. So that you don't draw the attention of other people."
"Yep, speaking of, are you planning on deleting the video footage of what just happened here in the facility?"
"Already did, but I can't fix the damage you caused while you were in here."
"It'll have to do." She said before hopping up and down for a few seconds before running out of the facility and into the dead of night.
