Marinette and Cat sat on their comfy beanbag chairs playing Mario Party 3. It was a fun game, even if they were both competitive. Marinette was concentrating hard on a mini-game when out of the blue Cat said, "I love Ladybug."
Marinette smiled, keeping her now slightly blushing cheeks to the screen. Even if she often thought of herself and Ladybug being different people, it was nice to hear from her partner. And of course, she loved being Ladybug. Zipping all over Paris on her y0-yo and saving the day. "Me too," she sighed.
Cat eyed her. "Since when?" This was new information to him, because every time he would talk about Ladybug, Marinette would get quiet and just listen. "Since I was born," Marinette said, not thinking. "That's not even possible," Cat told her. Marinette set down her controller. "It is very possible for me to love me."
Uh-oh, had she just said what she thought she said? "What I meant was…." she stammered, trying back track.
Before she could do or say anything else, Cat was detransforming. "Claws In." "Ohh," Marinette peeked through her fingers. Her and her big mouth. But then again as lovable as Cat was, he could fire up this little red bug,…..
Cat's detransformation finished and Marinette's mouth dropped open as Adrien Agreste sat in the beanbag chair instead of a black cat.
This whole time she had been with Adrien? This whole time! Adrien leaned over and gently closed Marinette's mouth. "A little bird is going to make a nest in there otherwise." Marinette turned beet red. "Hi." "Hi." They sat looking at each other for a moment.
Then Adrien grinned and jumped up. "You want play hide-and-seek?" Marinette nodded, mutely. He might be Adrien Agreste, but he was still acting like her ball of fluff!
Still, she was happy it was Adrien, and she was glad to know who was under the mask. Next time though she wouldn't blurt things out, She didn't know what she would say next, especially when it came to Adrien Agreste!
