Disclimer:

I do not own Ratchet and Clank or any related games and franchises.

Additional cues:

This story contains contains the work from two people from which one part belongs to a user named Gaoll, including the OC Rocket, her sidekick Rust, the ship Apsis and the general order of her Solana system. I only have permission to use these sources and do not personally own them.

Please consider this story takes place in another dimension, means familiar people/places/plots might occur but can appear different from what you might know from the games.

Last but not least, this story takes place during Rift Appart, just in another dimension.
So I recommend to play the game before reading this story.
Enjoy.

"Attention. We will shortly arrive in Batalia. We will arrive 14 minutes later than planned. For further travels with local transport vehicles please visit the next info point for more information. Please sit calmly on your places while we arrive in the stratosphere. You are allowed to stand up yourself once the landing is done. Please check your belongings before you leave the ship. Thank you for flying with SpaceTravel Company. We greet every passenger leaving at the next station. This vessel continues flying as ACL136 towards Methropolis, over Pokitaru, Novalis. We attempt to catch the lost time during the flights. Next stop, Krontos City.
Connection with local stratosphere in a few moments,"

the automatic speaker talked to a nearly empty shuttle.

Just one person who looked around the empty place, just wondering who this voice was supposed to talk to. He already locked himself on his sit and just played with his turnscrew. It made a little *zink, zink, zink*-noise when he wiped with a piece of metal over it.

It was a long flight and he was no longer having a lot of patience. He was just glad it was over soon.

After a few moments, the shuttle did yet not even enter the stratosphere, it started shaking as if it was pulled by something; From the inside it felt like an earthquake.

Choke was glad he strap himself on his sit or he would have had some trouble issues with staying on his feet, especially when this event just abruptly happened.

But surprisingly there was no alert or anything from the pilot. But entering a stratosphere has never been that shaky. When he thought about that he had some weapons loaded in this ship which could probably explode easily so he was highly alerted due to his concerns.

Not even after a few moments there was any kind of speech from the pilot but the shaking was not letting up. So he stood up to carefully speak to the pilot himself. Something had to be wrong.

Choke swaying went to a wall and pressed a button with the text: "Speak to the driver".

But even after that there was still no response from anything. Now something was really odd and he made his way towards the cockpit. The door was locked but it was nothing his turnscrew couldn't handle. He quickly solved the lock, opened the door and got surprised as he had to realize: There was nobody driving this ship. He annoyingly groaned and mumbled to himself: "I hate auto-pilots."

There was now confirmed no other life-species except for him on this ship so he did not need to be quiet.

But more shocking was something he saw trough the glass windshield: Some kind of pink or purple portal this ship was heading to.

He gasped and just wondered: "This is definitely not normal! How is this stupid computer not realizing we are no longer on our course?"

He took a sit on a pilots chair and had no idea what to do next. He never flew a ship, especially not a corvette-sized shuttle that was also driven by a computer. But he had to change the course of the ship or they would fly right into this thing.

He quickly tried out some buttons and shiftier but he had to realize that nothing really helped. The buttons were not working.

As the last resort he strapped himself on the chair and went trough the entire protocol for emergency cases if the ship would crash because he had the feeling it was going to.

Flying trough the pink-ish portal was surprisingly quick but did not make the shaking any better, nor the view because the ship was about to crash near by the city, instead of gently flying to the starport. Again he tried out buttons and finally he found something that looked like he could drive this ship with and he managed to change the fall but not deny it.

After a loud and long crash on the cold, with crashing of ice on the ground his head laid on the control panel, somehow still on conscious. He groaned and rub his head and looked around. Seemed like he was still alive. Somehow. He wasn't quite sure how he managed to do that but he was glad he was.

"That's just great." he calmly said while standing up from the chair. Finally the ship was calm again but it did not look like it would fly again any time soon anywhere. It was diagonally laying in a long ice waste land. He still did not believe what just happened. His body was still streamed with adrenaline but he decided to stany calm. The ship had to have some kind of communication system to alert someone, and if not, it luckily just barely missed it's destination. Maybe the local villagers are already on their way.

Wait… villagers? So maybe guards too. In that case he would have to explain a lot he was not able to explain. This was not good.

"We have reached our destination. All passengers please leave the ship now," the computer said as if nothing happened.

"Leaving the ship? Sounds like a plan…" Choke mumbled and jumped from the cockpit to the outside. The depot had to be here, with a bit luck already opened and with more luck his weapons would be still intact. At least nothing was blowing up yet.
