Hiccup and Astrid walk outside to see Toothless.

Astrid ask "have you been taking care of Hiccup for me, Toothless?"

Toothless nuzzles her stomach and growled at Hiccup.

Hiccup comments "okay, bud. I'll stay for a little to satisfy you."

Toothless purrs in satisfying.

Astrid ask "what did that mean?"

Hiccup blushes "he realized that we mated by our scents mixed and won't let me leave you here incase you become pregnant."

Astrid blushes "oh."

They walk through the village holding hands.

Villagers widen their eyes at seeing Hiccup is back.

They stop by the forge.

Gobber grins "welcome back, Iccup."

Hiccup hugs Gobber and says "my dragon banned me from leaving for a few days."

Gobber ask "what did you do to have your dragon banned you from leaving?"

Hiccup sighs "promise not to grill me?"

Gobber sighs "okay, I promise Iccup."

Astrid comments "me and Hiccup consummate our betrothal last night."

Gobber comments "you two should know that Snotlout is looking for Astrid."

Hiccup and Astrid leave walking to the dragon arena.

When they arrive at the dragon arena, Fishlegs notice Astrid holding hands with Hiccup and ask "when did Hiccup return, Astrid?"

Astrid answers "last night after dinner. He found me in his secret cove."

Snotlout ask "what are you doing with my fiance?"

Hiccup comments "you mean my betrothed since I proposed to her before your father offered a marriage contract to her father. So I believe my betrothal gifts voids your marriage contract."

Snotlout gape "when did propose to her?"

Astrid grins "during the Meathead Tribe visited. We decided to keep it a secret because Hiccup has three more years until his exile sentence is over and because he didn't want you to challenge him for my hand in marriage and embarrass you."

Snotlout grumbles "the council members won't allow this and neither will my father!"

Hiccup snapped his finger.

Toothless walked over to Hookfang and growled loud.

Hookfang whines in surrender.

Hiccup comments "I don't think Hookfang will bother you no matter what Snotlout tells him."

Astrid walks over and punches Snotlout in his nose and says "that was for Stormfly and this is to remember that I'm Hiccup's woman" kicking Snotlout in the groin.

Fishlegs comments "if Hiccup gave Astrid a betrothal pedant necklace and a gift worthy of betrothal, Snotlout's marriage proposal would be voided because Astrid would have belonged to Hiccup."

Astrid grabs Hiccup and kisses him senseless.

Hiccup comments "I guess I could get use to you kissing me anytime you feel like it, if I can kiss you when I see you and before bed."

Astrid comments "dopey dragon Master."

Ruffnut gape "what did you two do last night?"

Astrid answers "we shared Hiccup's bed last night. Nothing happened between us."

Snotlout left to go talk to his father.

Hiccup comments "we should go talk to your parents about the engagement situation."

Astrid comments "yep, because then it could get me out of being engaged to Snotlout."

Ruffnut ask "why would you want to marry Hiccup for, Astrid?"

Astrid sighs "because Hiccup is smarter on a higher level than Snotlout and he impressed me with training a Night Fury."

Ruffnut ask "how did you earn his forgiveness?"

Astrid answers "he was in love with me and made me realize that if I didn't tell him how much I liked him, he was going to leave without knowing about how much I love him."

Hiccup kisses her cheek.

They leave the arena and walk across the bridge.

Astrid curious ask "what did Toothless say to Hookfang?"

Hiccup answers "he basically told him that his rider was going after another's mate and using him to get to you and make you his mate."

Astrid curious ask "and that means?"

Hiccup answers "it means that if Snotlout wants you, he has to fight me in a duel like dragons do over females."

They walk into the village.

Astrid comments "I wonder what Snotlout's next attempt to get me would be."

They arrive at Hofferson's house.

Astrid walks inside the house.

Brynhild was on the couch reading a book when the front door opened to see her daughter and ask "you finally forgive us?"

Astrid smiles "I'm happy that my betrothed came back last night to visit me."

Brynhild blinks her eyes "betrothed? What do you mean by betrothed and when did that happen?"

Hiccup answers "during the Meathead Tribe visiting six months ago."

Astrid unveiled her betrothal necklace and grins "I'm sorry I lied about it, but it was to prevent Snotlout from challenging Hiccup for my hand in marriage."

Brynhild sighs "your father will have something to say about this."

Hiccup comments "I'll be staying with my father for a couple weeks because my dragon grounded me from leaving your daughter."

Brynhild ask "your dragon grounded you from leaving my daughter?"

Hiccup sighs "yeah. Dragon law that I have to obey or he would give me an attitude."

Afternoon, Hiccup was working in the forge.

"HICCUP HORRENDOUS HADDOCK THE THIRD!"

Hiccup dropped the sword on the ground in scared stance.

Gobber sighs "Magnus Hofferson, what could my apprentice possibly do to make you shout his name?"

Magnus answers "I'm furious that he gave my daughter a betrothal necklace and not even pay the bride price for my daughter!"

Hiccup runs his hand down his face and walks over to the counter and says "Astrid's bride price is in my boat at the dock."

Magnus raised his eyebrow in question.

Hiccup sets his apron down and leads Magnus down to the docks.

Once at the docks, Hiccup walks to his small boat and pulls a cover over to reveal a bundle of swords, axes, daggers.

Magnus gaze at it.

Hiccup comments "I spent two months on Astrid's betrothal ax and a whole day to make her betrothal necklace. Four months to get Dragon island into a home like building hotel.

These past six months, I been juggling between helping my mom rescue dragons from this mysterious man and your daughter's bride price. They even have your family crest on them."

Magnus ask "what about money?"

Hiccup grins "I also sold a hundred swords too over two months as well" pulling the cover back more to show a small sack of gold.

Magnus curious looks inside to see a ton of gold coins and ask "what did you charge "ten gold coins for a sword?"

Hiccup shakes his head and grins "yes, because they were made out of steel and a little special material to make it stand up against regular steel swords. That's a thousand gold coins."

Spitelout comments "THERE YOU ARE!"

Hiccup and Magnus look up at the ramp to see Spitelout Jorgenson and Hiccup quickly covers up the boat and ask "are you interested in the purchase, Mr. Hofferson?"

Magnus comments "yes, I'll purchase a whole boat of weapons."

Spitelout walks down the ramp and ask "is it true that Hiccup proposed to your daughter and didn't even announce it to the village?"
