Cat sat playing with Game Boy, the smell of cookies wafting past his nose. It was almost enough to distract him, but he was almost at Level 4 of his Mario game.
"What are you playing?" Marinette asked, setting the cookie plate and two glasses of milk on the coffee table. "Mario," he grinned at her, then his eyes went back to his game. "But this is a special version where you can eat butterflies." "Yuk. Who'd want to do that?" "Your right. Cookies are much tastier," Cat smiled at her, and reached for a warm cookie.
Though Cat nearly crumbled his cookie to bits when he heard the distinctive flap, flap of a akuma. Marinette didn't seem to recognize the akuma, and maybe Cat was wrong. "Oh, look, a butterfly." Marinette caught it and at last Cat was able to have a good look. He gasped. It was akuma!
"Do not." Cat said, slowly, hoping Marinette wouldn't move. "I'm not doing anything," she told him innocently, but what if she was akumatized? "Let go of the butterfly, Princess. Let it fly free." "No!"
"You want to have a nice warm cookie?" Cat would do anything to distract her. "Cookie!" Marinette let the butterfly free. Cat watched it sail out the window. As good as the cookies looked, someone was sure to be akumatized if he and Ladybug didn't stop it quickly.
"I'll be back as soon as I can!" Cat told her, sprinting out the door. Marinette sat opened-mouthed. Well, that was something. Cat could resist a cookie and she a akuma. She sprang up and hurried after him. The cookies would just have to wait for both of them!
