Cat was on Marinette's balcony, gazing into the night. Good the coast was clear, he could practice his "I love you" on his baton and no one would hear. Sigh.
The love you part was simple, but Cat had to practice the kiss so it would be just right. Puckering up his lips, they moved towards his baton….
The skylight swung open and Marinette balanced two mugs of tea in her hands. "I poured you some…." her voice trailed off as she watched Cat with his lips puckered. Is this what he did when they weren't together? Okay, he was all to blame as she had all those pictures of Adrien plastered around her room….
"Ahem," she cleared her throat, and Cat jumped, dropping his baton. "Princess! Um, how long have been standing there?" "Long enough to see you pucker. Would you like to be alone?" she teased. "No! Its not what it looks like! I-," Cat sighed.
"You can't act like your going to kiss a lemon. That's so sour," Marinette said. "Here, watch me." It wasn't hard for her to picture Adrien, and she scrunched up her lips. "There, like that. See?" Marinette was wearing a rather dreamy expression. "You make it look so easy," Cat sighed. "Keep a secret?" Marinette asked, slipping her hand into his. "It stays between you and meow." "I've never kissed anyone. At least not that I remember."
Cat looked down her, but Marinette was gazing off into the distance. Was that a bit of sadness tinged in her voice? "The right moment for both of us will come someday, Marinette. Now, how about we enjoy this nice tea?"
"Cat?" Marinette said sometime later, as they cuddled their blanket. "Yes, Princess?" "You could kiss me." Cat smiled and leaned down to kiss her. "How was that?" he asked. Marinette smiled. "Its the nicest kiss I've ever had."
