Meanwhile, Nick, the Wild Kratts, and Philippe's team were still wandering through the tunnel through a subway car as water was heard sloshing. And the floor of the car creaks as they saw more fish scattered on the floor, and they soon walked out as Nick looks up.
"What's up there?" Philippe asked.
Above them, they saw a ceiling to a large room as they saw a sign of Madison Square Garden.
Before long, they were grunting as they climbed up the steep slope as a couple fish caught in a basketball hoop flopped a bit.
"Of all places, he had to take out the Garden stadium?" Jimmy complained.
Down below, Animal and Audrey soon arrived as they were stepping over the fish.
"This is a good smell." Animal said in disgust. "Yeah." He groans from the fish odor. "Oh, look." He saw the Garden sign. "Audrey, look at this. He trashed the garden."
"Oh, man!/Oh, wow." He and Audrey said in unison.
"Now, I'm pissed." Animal said annoyed.
He sighed as he looked around
"Hey, is that them?" Animal asked spotting them.
"Yeah." Audrey replied.
High above, they made it to the top as Jimmy strained and pulls himself over and got up panting.
"I just... I just need a minute." Jimmy said and sits down leaning against something.
Chris, Martin, Aviva and Koki soon climbed over and then their eyes widen of what they were seeing.
"Uh..." Martin stuttered.
"Jimmy?" Chris said.
"Yeah?" Jimmy said turning to them.
"Behind..." Aviva said.
"You." Koki said.
"Hmm?" Jimmy frowned.
He looked back and then jumped getting to his feet seeing what it was.
A giant egg big enough to fit in a small shed.
"That's... one big omelet." Jimmy said.
Nick and the others join them and saw there wasn't just one egg, but three eggs altogether.
"Three eggs." Nick said. "I thought there'd be more."
"And you were right." Jean-Claude said.
Philippe turned to him as there were eight more eggs.
"Wait." Martin said. "That's eight. That makes 11."
"Uh, guys?" Aviva said.
Philippe turns to her direction as well as Nick as seven more were seen.
Nick pants as he wanders around. "Oh, my. Wow." He said shocked. "There got to be more than 20 eggs here. Oh- Way more." He saw more.
"Let's get a headcount." Martin said.
Jean-Luc cuts a chain with bolt-cutters, and got to some power controls and flips a switch.
The stadium lights soon turned on as they dozens of eggs across the stadium as they were beyond shocked.
"This is a problem." Chris said.
"Start counting." Philippe said to Nick.
They looked around as many eggs stood as fish was littered everywhere across the floor. A food source for the hatchlings to feed on.
On the other side of the nest, Audrey grunts and pants as she and Animal climbed up.
"Eww-" Animal winced lightly in disgust.
"Could you help me?" Audrey asked.
"Yeah, you all right?" Animal asked.
"Yep." Audrey said panting. "Oh-"
Animal grunts a bit from the smell.
Audrey as they then saw an egg next to them.
"Whoa. Whoa." Animal said stunned as they stepped back.
Animal then momentarily stumbled but regained his footing as they stared at the egg.
Meanwhile, Philippe's team were beginning to set and place C4 bombs on the eggs as they were turned on beeping.
"We don't have enough explosives." Jean-Claude said in French.
"Merde." Philippe cursed.
On the other side of the stadium, Animal and Audrey saw them as he looks through his camera.
"What the hell are they doin'?" Animal wondered.
Back on their side, Nick's camera clicks with flash as he took a picture of an egg and it whines.
Then a sound was heard as Nick nears one of the eggs, then a gurgling was heard as he turns to one. He then slowly placed his hand on the shell of the egg, and a light sloshing was heard. He then slowly placed his ear against the shell.
"Nick." Philippe said approaching him. "We have a problem."
"I'll say." Martin said as he and Chris appeared. "There's 228 eggs total."
"Shh." Nick shushed.
"What?" Chris asked.
A sloshing was heard within the egg along a chirping. Then the sloshing intensifies and the egg stirred as Nick stepped back, and then a snout breaks through the shell as Nick gasps stepping back as the head of a hatchling pushes through and growls out.
Nick stepped back as they stared at the hatching.
"Whoa." Chris said stunned.
The hatchling cries out as breaks it's arm free.
Then thumping as Nick, Philippe, Chris and Martin turn to each other, and then towards the other eggs behind them as they all jostled. As the hatchlings in them are beginning to hatch as well, and the Kratt Brothers have seen this before with other reptiles. As some like crocodiles when one hatches, it calls out and signals the other to synchronize them to hatch.
On the other side of the nest, another was breaking out of it's shell in front of Animal.
"Whoa. Oh, my God." Animal said amazed filming it. "God."
"Come on." Audrey whispered not wanting to stay any longer. "Let's go."
"One second, all right? One second." Animal said. "This is unbelievable."
Another hatchling pushed it's head out of the shell of it's egg and cries out.
Nick, Philippe, Chris and Martin watched as two hatchlings were wandering by one in front of them grabs a fish in it's mouth. It lifts up and tosses the fish further in it's mouth and swallows.
The human-size hatchlings were an exact replica to their colossal father, but they yet to grow their dorsal plates in as they were only small nubs.
"Wow, these guys hatch hungry." Martin said.
"Don't you think we have enough already?" Audrey whispered.
"I just want-" Animal said turning to her and then gasped growing nervous.
Behind Audrey, a hatchling appeared as it barely paid much attention to them.
"I just-" Animal gasped. "Yeah, that's good for me. That's plenty." He joins next to her. "Um, um- We should, uh- Let's um-" He pants nervously.
Audrey turns and saw the hatchling turning to them and growls softly.
"Just let's not- startle it." Animal said trying to stay calm.
Audrey nervously gasped.
Meanwhile, one hatchling stares at Nick, Philippe, Chris and Martin curiously and was sniffing them.
A behavior for any young animal to be inquisitive.
But Nick noticed the hatchling looked too curious, and he turns to his collar and sniffs it.
Philippe then sniffs his sleeve as well as Chris and Martin.
"We smell like the fish." Nick said.
"And I think look like a more suitable meal." Chris said.
"And they may prefer fresh meat." Martin added.
"I think we should leave now." Philippe said as the hatchling chittered.
"I think that's a good idea." Nick agreeing.
"Okay, just... back up slowly." Chris said stepping back.
"No sudden moves or we'll encourage it to chase us." Martin said.
Meanwhile, Animal and Audrey were cornered by two hatchlings were curiously sniffing them still unsure what to make of them. Audrey gasped and nervously moans.
One hatchling then growls out.
Then suddenly an arm breaks out of the shell next to Audrey as she screams and she and Animal runs off.
Nick, Philippe, Chris and Martin begin to back away as then the hatchling snapped at them, and Nick pants as they quickly turn and run off passing by a few other hatchlings busy eating fish.
The hatching roars as hunger wins out over caution, and then charges after them.
They hurried through the maze of eggs as Nick rushes by a hatchling as it snapped at him. They then stopped as a few hatchlings were in front of them feeding, they looked back as the hatchling appeared and runs towards them along with a sibling.
"Come on!" Nick yelled. "Come on!"
They quickly rushed through the crowd of hatchlings as they roared and snapped at them.
"Tout le monde dehors! Maintenant!" Philippe called through his walkie-talkie. "Everybody outside! Now!"
"Come on! Let's go!" Nick said.
"NOW!" Philippe yelled.
The two hatchlings growled ferociously as they chase after their prey.
They quickly made it to a pathway as they rush through with the two hatchlings right behind them. The group got to the doors and quickly closed them as the hatchlings ram into them.
Nick, Chris and Martin held the doors as hard as they could as Philippe quickly found a broom brush and slides it through the handles. Once secured, they quickly backed away.
"Lock the doors now!" Philippe said through his radio. "We have to keep them contain inside. Come on. Let's go!"
"Aviva, Koki, Jimmy get out of there now!" Martin quickly contacted through his CreaturePod.
They then rushed off through the hall.
"We're heading out, now." Aviva said.
Jean-Luc placed one more C4 bomb on an unhatched egg as it beeps and they quickly head off as then they saw a hatchling toying with a device in it's mouth softly growling playing with it like a chew toy.
The beeping continues as they rushed off.
They got to the hall outside the room as two hatchling feeding on fish turn to them and softly growled and they both roared.
Jean-Luc and Jean-Claude pants as they rushed to the door as Jimmy fearfully shuddered as they quickly slammed the doors closed.
Unaware of what was happening, Jean-Pierre was arming the bombs as he saw one hatchling standing over him on the upper level and another appeared.
"Reste-pas la, bon dieu!" Jean-Philippe cried in French backing away.
Jean-Pierre sniffed his hand smelling the fish scent, and turns back to the hatchling.
A third hatchling appeared as then the first leaps off the ledge, and lands on Jean-Pierre knocking him back as he groans. The hatchling then pins him down as he screams as the hatchling snaps at him, another hatchling appeared watching. And then he saw Jean-Philippe and charges.
Jean-Philippe got to the doors and closed them, but then the hatchling rams through and lunges at him as he screamed as the hatchling mauls him.
Animal and Audrey meanwhile got to hall to leave the stadium as they were confronted by other hatchlings as two stood by the doorway.
They then turn seeing one hatchling approaching as it roared.
Audrey turns back to the doorway, but noticed a light of what looked like an open door by the two hatchlings.
"You see that?" Audrey asked.
"All right. On three." Animal said.
"Okay." Audrey said getting ready.
"Three!" Animal said.
They quickly rushed pass the two hatchlings as they snapped at them. They got to the door and Animal closed it and locks it, and they got to another room as Audrey locks the door as Animal saw the room they were in.
"Whoa!" Animal exclaimed.
Audrey screamed turning around only seeing a shower room.
"This is where the Knicks, like, get showered and everything." Animal said.
"Oh, my God!" Audrey complained whacking him.
They hurried to the other doorway seeing chains around the handles. Audrey jostled the doors as the chain rattles and she grunts.
"Great." Audrey said. "Now what do we do?"
Then roaring was heard as they saw the door being pounded as the hatchlings were trying to break in as they were trapped.
Unaware of the new danger, a crowd of people was stirring a riot at one of the tunnel entrances to New York as they chatted, "Let us in!".
"I'm standing here now just outside the Jersey entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel where thousands of angry refugees are demanding to be let back into the city." A reporter said. "All major arteries into the city are clogged with Manhattanites who are both jubilant that Godzilla is dead-"
"Yes, yes, I understand." Ebert said on the phone with someone and hangs up.
"Mayor, your office is being swamped with phone calls." Gene said as they walked off.
"I know! I know." Ebert said and approached Hicks. "Do you have any idea what's goin' on out there? The phones are ringin' out of the hook, with people screaming to be let back into the city."
"We're sending divers into the river now to retrieve the body." Hicks said.
"That thing is dead." Ebert said bluntly. "What are you waiting for?"
Elise then approached. "Colonel, Colonel, we've gotta start a search for the nest." She said.
"Elsie, we've been through this already." Hicks said.
"What if Nick is right and we blow this thing?" Elise said. "Sir, this could be the only chance we have to something about it."
Hicks remains silent in thought, and knows that if Nick was right, sending people back in now could mean sending them into a death trap.
"Captain, organize a search party." Hicks ordered. "I want a complete sweep of the entire city and the subway."
"You don't have the authority to do that." Ebert said.
"Try and stop me." Hicks said and walks off.
Chris and Martin held back a closed doorway as Philippe kicks the glass of a case of a firehose, and he grabs the nozzle and starts tying the handles as the doors were thudding as the hatchlings roaring behind them ram into trying to break free. Philippe then reaches in his pocket bringing a phone as the roaring continues.
"Contact the military." Philippe said tossing Nick the phone. "Get them to send a bomber to blow up this building."
"How do I do that?" Nick asked.
"5-5-5-7-6-0-0." Philippe said as Nick was stunned. "Tell them it's a Code Dragonfly. That should get you through." He secured the hose nozzle. "What are you waiting for?" They rushed off.
"Uh, uh, 5-5-5- What?" Nick asked.
"7-6-0-0." Philippe said.
"7-6-0-0." Nick dials the phone as it beeps.
He waits as Philippe grabs a shovel and slides it through the handles of another doorway.
"All circuits are busy right now." The recording of a woman's voice spoke.
"It's busy!" Nick said.
"Try again!" Philippe said.
Roaring was heard as Nick rushed to a phone on the wall and reached in his pocket.
"Uh! Oh!" Nick said. placing the quarters in the slot.
The coins clattered as he dials the number.
Philippe, Chris and Martin soon came back after securing the last of the doors.
"What did they say?" Philippe asked.
"Anything yet?" Martin asked.
Nick held his hand out still waiting.
"All circuits are busy."
"I can't get through." Nick said. "I don't know what's wrong."
Then footsteps running were heard as they saw Jean-Luc, Jean-Claude, Aviva, Koki and Jimmy rushing down the stairs.
"We've secured the doors on the upper levels." Jean-Claude said.
"Where is Jean-Philippe and Jean-Pierre?" Philippe asked noticing them missing.
"They didn't make it." Jean-Claude sadly informed.
"We only saw what was left of them." Aviva said sadly.
Philippe was silent knowing what they meant.
"W-What should we do?" Jimmy asked.
"Nick, Martin, my men and I will hold them here." Philippe said. "You and your friends will have to go and get help."
Growling was heard as coins clattered sliding out of the change slot.
"Toi." Philippe said.
Jean-Claude and Jean-Luc then head off.
"Toi, a gauche."
"Okay, okay." Nick whispered.
"Come on, we better get outta here." Martin said.
They then hurried off.
Meanwhile, growling was heard as the door was still being pounded from the hatchlings outside.
Out of options, Audrey grabs a mop and hits it against a vent cover in the ceiling.
"You think we could fit up there?" Audrey asked.
"I-I-" Animal stuttered unsure.
He turns to the door as roaring was heard as it was pounded again as there was no telling how much longer it will hold.
"There's one way to find out, right?" Animal said.
"Yeah." Audrey said.
He then jumps knocking the cover out of place as it drops to the floor.
"Boost me up." Audrey said as Animal holds her foot. "Boost me up."
"Come on." Animal said.
At a lower level, Jean-Claude heads down some stairs as growling was heard.
He got to a support beam keeping watch, and then he turns to the door thudding from the growling hatchlings behind them trying to break free.
Jean-Claude got to the doorway as the thudding continues.
Elsewhere, Jean-Luc wandered through a hall as cries from the hatchlings echoed out and nears a hall leading to the stadium.
He peeks over seeing the coast was clear as cries were heard, but saw the doors were busted open as screeching was heard.
The screeching continues as then soft growling followed as shadows loomed on the walls behind him as Jean-Luc turns around and almost like the Velociraptors from Jurassic Park a pack of four hatchlings appeared as one roared as Jean-Luc nervously backed away.
Then one hatchling roars charging towards him with open jaws as Jean-Luc screams firing his gun.
At his post, Jean-Claude heard the shrieking from the hatchling's attack and brought his walkie-talkie out.
"Jean-Luc? Jean-Luc, c'est moi." Jean-Claude contacted him but no response. "Qu'est-ce qui se passe? Jean-Luc, c'set moi."
Then roaring had him turn to the doorway as the hatchlings behind them continued ramming into them.
Jean-Claude puts away his walkie-talkie turning to the doorway, and he fires at the doors leaving bullet holes on them as ceases fires as metal casings clattered on the floor.
Jean-Claude watches the doors as everything was quiet thinking the loud shooting has frightening them back. But then a shadow looms through the holes as soft growling was heard as Jean-Claude stared.
And then the doors were violently swung open as a pack of five hatchlings stood as one roared. Jean-Claude nervously backed away as they formed up with two approaching, he then aims his gun but before he fired one hatchling lunges with it's foot on Jean-Claude's chest as they flew back with screaming and landing on the floor as another joins it's sibling as they mauled him two others stood by.
Meanwhile, Nick and the Wild Kratts hurried down a staircase trying to get out.
"Uh... this way." Chris said rushing off. "Come on."
They then followed him as they got to the doorway, but as soon as they opened the doors, they were suddenly greeted by a roaring hatchling as they stopped dead in their tracks.
"DAAH!" Jimmy screamed.
The hatchling then snapped at them as Nick gasped and Koki grabs a baseball bat and slide through the handles and they rushed off.
The hatchling looks through the window.
They hurried through the hall and soon got to the other end but saw movement behind the closed doors as they jostled. They got behind a support beam and saw a hatchling behind the doors lightly nudging a door as it growled. And a sibling behind it lightly screeched.
"Please tell me they don't know how to open doors." Koki begged.
The doors then swung open as boxes flew out along with some popcorn as the hatchlings walked out.
"They do." Aviva nervously said.
They then rushed off but saw the other hatchlings from the other end after breaking through.
"Whoa! Whoa." Nick exclaimed as they stopped.
"Uh-oh!" Jimmy cried.
The hatchlings growled as they looked and saw they were trapped.
"We're trapped like rats!" Jimmy cried.
"Oh, this is not good." Nick said. "This is not good."
"Uh..." Chris frantically looked around. "Elevator!" He spotted one.
They then got to the elevator as Nick pushed the up button, and frantically continues tapping the button as the hatchlings stalked closer as some snapped at one another. And they soon surrounded them as one roared.
"Come on, come on." Nick said urgently softly.
"Um... They taste way better than me!" Koki suddenly blurted pointing to the others.
"Hm?" Aviva narrowed her eyes at her.
"I panicked?" Koki shrugged.
One hatchling then snapped at it's sibling as it cried backing off as it turns back to the group as they gathered.
The elevator bell dings.
"Come on." Nick said as the elevator doors opened.
"Quick, get in!" Chris yelled.
They then frantically got in the elevator as Nick frantically taps the button to close the doors as the hatchlings star to move in as one got too close for comfort.
And then the hatchling roars lunging it's head through the doorway.
"Whoa!" Nick yelled as the Wild Kratts screamed.
The hatchling snaps at them as they moved to the walls on the side of the elevator as Jimmy frantically whacked a baseball bat at it's head. But it then bites on it and broke half of it off.
Nick then placed his foot on the hatchling's head and forcefully pushes it back as Martin then poked it's eye as it yelped backing away and the elevator doors closed and they pressed their backs against the walls.
"Oh. Oh!" Nick said in relief.
"Phew!" Martin wiped from sweat off his forehead.
"That was a way too close for comfort." Koki said.
"Tell me about it." Jimmy said.
The elevator bell dings as it reaches the third floor.
The doors opened as then a commotion was heard with soft growling as popcorn flew and they looked and their eyes widen as a pack of seven hatchlings suddenly turn to them.
"Wrong floor." Nick awkwardly said.
The hatchling closest to them drops a bag of popcorn in it's mouth as they stared.
"So... Uh... Have you tried the giant soft pretzels?" Jimmy awkwardly asked.
One hatchling tilted it's head weirdly as the elevator bell dings and the doors closed as they remained awkwardly silent.
Philippe wandered through the hall keeping watch.
In the ceiling above him, Animal and Audrey wander through the vent ducts trying to find a way out.
"Hey, why don't we go this way?" Audrey softly asked.
"Shh!" Animal shushed.
Philippe nears a doorway as growling was heard in the distance, and Animal and Audrey got to a vent cover as he opened it seeing Philippe.
Philippe watched the doorway barricaded by a popcorn cart, as then an elevator bell dings as he turns to it as the doors opened.
Nick soon peeks his head out along with the Wild Kratts.
"It's us." Nick said. "It's us."
"What happened?" Philippe asked.
"They're loose." Nick said as they got out.. "They're all over the place. We couldn't get out. We couldn't get out."
"I think they've might already got Jean-Luc and Jean-Claude by now at this point." Jimmy said. "We're trapped in here!"
"Shh!" Aviva shushed. "You'll make it easier for them finding us."
Then clattering was heard as they turned to the vent, and then a section broke off as Animal and Audrey fell through as they grunt and groan hitting the wall.
"What in the Creature World?" Chris said in disbelief.
"Who the hell are you?" Philippe asked.
His light shines on Audrey as she turns to them.
"Audrey?" Nick frowned. "Uh, here." He went over to her.
Then Philippe suddenly started stomping and kicking Animal's camera.
"Hey. Hey." Animal complained. "Hey! Hey!"
"You all right?" Nick asked helping Audrey up.
"Think so." Audrey said.
"Did you follow us all the way here?" Koki said in disbelief.
"Yes." Audrey said.
"Hey!" Animal complained getting up.
"No cameras." Philippe said.
"What, are you-" Animal said but froze after Philippe aimed his gun. "Yeah, all right. Very good."
"Do you have a radio or walkie-talkie?" Philippe asked. "Anything we can use to contact the outside?"
"What about the phones?" Audrey asked.
"No, it's no good." Nick informed. "Circuits are all jammed."
"Must've been from Godzilla's digging when turning the place into his den." Chris said.
"Now what do we do?" Martin asked. "We got no way to call for help, and those hatchlings are right on top of us."
"Oh, wait." Audrey said. "I know a way. I know hoe we can get a message to the outside."
"How can we?" Aviva asked.
Then crashing was heard as they looked saw some hatchlings coming out as one nudges a mop and bucket. And they soon saw the group.
"And where would that be?" Koki nervously asked stepping back.
"This way. Come on!" Audrey said and runs off.
They quickly followed her running as a hatchling yelps and Animal saw his camera.
"The tape. The tape!" Animal said.
"Forget the tape!" Jimmy yelled and then tripped.
Animal quickly reaches and grabs the tape from the camera just barely avoiding having his hand bitten down from a hatchling. Animal quickly backed away as Jimmy got up and quickly dodges another hatchling's snap attack.
"Come on!" Audrey yelled.
Animal and Jimmy ran for their lives with the hatchlings right behind them, and Jimmy reached into his bag and brought out 3 pizza boxes.
"Bon appétit!" Jimmy yelled.
He then tossed them into the air as the extra-large pizzas flew out as they land on the floor as six hatchling snatch the slices fighting over them. And Jimmy and Animal rushed through the doorway with the other hatchlings right behind them.
"Wait for me!" Jimmy yelled.
Jimmy and Animal hurried through the doorway as Philippe quickly closed the doors and locked them. Then the hatchlings ram the doors with ferocious growling as Philippe ran off.
"Come on." Audrey said as they rushed up the stairs. "Come on, the broadcast booth is right over here."
"How do you know that?" Nick asked as they hurried through a hall.
"Out network covers the Ranger Games." Audrey said.
They quickly got to the hall as Audrey got to the door and grabs the handle as it jostled.
"Uh! It's locked!" Audrey said.
"Wait. There's a code." Animal said getting to the door. "There's a code."
He types the code as nothing happened.
"Oh, come on!" Animal growled pounding the door. "Come on!"
Philippe then fires at the door handle as Animal jumped, and then Philippe kicks the door open.
"I was just about to... get it." Animal said.
"The network is on an intranet." Audrey said walking in the room as they followed. "It's a direct feed into our computer system."
"Well, your station isn't gonna have any easier time reaching the military than I did." Nick said as Philippe and Chris barricade the door with a drawer.
"When you worked with them, did they monitor all the news broadcast?" Animal asked.
"Yeah." Nick said. "Yeah, they did."
"All right, we'll go live, huh?" Animal said. "Audrey. We'll broadcast right from in here." He works on the booth. "Hopefully they'll see it."
"I'll try to get a message through." Audrey said.
"We better hurry because those hatchlings are really hungry." Koki said.
"Just need a minute." Audrey said.
Keyboard keys clicked as she types, and Philippe closed the window blinds.
Down below, the doors were forcefully pushed forward as a hatchling pushed it's head forward.
"Let us not forget, in our rush to the return to the city, that many people have had their lives changed forever." Caiman reported.
In his van, Ed was reading a paper while snacking on some Ruffle's chips.
"No one in the city has been untouched by the tragedy." Caiman spoke.
Then beeping was heard as Ed turns to a laptop.
"The sick, the displaced, the injured- only reaching out can we truly mend the wounds of-"
Ed got to the laptop and answers the urgent mail message reading, "PICK UP TRANSPONDER CFX1 AND WATCH THE FEED!".
"There's no Ranger Game on tonight." Ed said.
He then makes a few adjustments on some of the screens.
"Yes, the threat is over, but the pain continues." Caiman continued.
"Ed, if you're seeing this, will you-"
"-please put us on live?" Audrey said. "It's urgent."
Animal got to the camera and turns to the screen showing Caiman still.
"Sometime tonight, Audrey." Chris said peeking through the blinds keeping watch.
"I know this sounds crazy, Ed,-"
"-but, please, you have to do it." Audrey said.
Ed turns to her on a screen.
"Please just trust me!" Audrey said.
"I'm not putting you on live." Ed scoffed.
"What's taking so long?" Jimmy asked starting to panic.
"I don't think he's gonna do it." Audrey said.
"Oh, yes, he will." Animal said and angles the camera. "All right, Ed!"
"Come on, huh?" Animal said.
Ed turns back to the screen as growling was heard, and saw the hatchlings of Godzilla crowding the stadium as some were leaving and others continue feeding on the remaining fish.
"Huh?" Animal said.
"You see that, Ed?" Audrey said. "They're gonna be all over the city if we don't stop them."
Ed was beyond shocked as he removed his glasses.
"Give me a second, will ya?" Ed said.
Meanwhile, the command center at New Jersey was still active.
"Talk to air-recon on that."
"Yes, sir!"
"We gotta clear for L.Z. now."
"Finally, the time has come to return to our homes-" Caiman reported.
"Get the diving boats ready." Hicks ordered.
Elise and Craven went over a report so far over a map trying to locate the nest.
"These are the last three." Craven said.
"Our fears have been allayed, thanks to the heroic efforts of our boys in uniform." Caiman reported.
The screen then switches showing Audrey.
"What's going on?" Audrey asked. "Are we on?"
"The calculator is way past-" Elise said and turns to the TV.
"Yeah, good, you're on." Nick said.
"Are we on?" Audrey asked.
"We're live!" Aviva said.
"Yes, yes, you're on." Animal said. "Go."
"We're live inside Madison Square Garden, where Dr. Niko Tatopoulos and Wild Kratts team led by Chris and Martin Kratt has discovered the beast's lair." Audrey reported as Elise, Craven and a few others turn to the news. "Doctor, can you please tell us what's happening here?"
"Us?" Martin frowned.
"That's you, yes." Animal said to them. "Go, go."
"Uh-" Nick went over to Audrey along with Chris and Martin.
"Thank you." Audrey said.
"Well, what we discovered here is unfortunately far worse than we previously thought." Martin said.
"Yeah, uh, well, we discovered over 200 eggs-" Nick said.
"228 total to be exact." Chris said.
"Go get Hicks." Elise said as Craven rushed off as other soldiers gathered. "Get Hicks!"
"Which a few moments ago began hatching." Nick said.
Nick then gestured to the hatchlings in the stadium below as Animal turns the camera towards.
"Um, the creatures though just hatched, are over 9 feet tall, and they've begun feeding." Nick said.
Hicks heads into the tent with Craven behind him and saw the newsfeed and the hatchlings.
"Though they're just minutes old, they've already developed the hunting instinct to chase and kill their prey." Chris said.
"When their food supply runs out here,-"
"Mr. Mayor, look." A man said.
Hicks then heads off.
"-they will attempt to hunt down food of their own outside of this nest." Nick said.
Ebert, Gene and Admiral Phelps appeared and soon saw what was happening.
"Oh, my God." Lucy said seeing the news as well.
"If they get out, they'll multiple, and very soon a new species will emerge, one that could replace us as the dominant species of this planet." Nick said.
"And a new era of reptiles could begin as well." Martin said. "Not since the dinosaurs has Planet Earth seen a reptile this successful."
"Each one of these amazing reptiles-"
"-are born pregnant. Adaptive-"
O'Neal's team was seeing this as well.
"-and cunning, these 200 could become 40,000 within this year." Nick said. "If the military is listening to this broadcast, they have to destroy this building immediately before these creatures can escape."
Ebert and Gene turn to each other.
Outside the booth, a trio of hatchlings stalked around the hall growling softly.
"So far they're all trapped inside this building, but I don't think we can contain them for long." Nick said.
Philippe went to the window and peeks through the blinds as a hatchling rose up swiftly roaring.
"They're very strong." Nick said as Philippe closed the blind. "They're agile. And they're looking for food."
"So I guess your theory of the creature nesting turned out to be correct after all." Audrey said.
"Yes." Chris said. "But we never imagined anything like this."
Audrey then turns back to the camera.
"Regardless of what happens to us, the most important thing is that this building be destroyed immediately before they can escape out into the city." Audrey reported. "Reporting live from Madison Square Garden, this is Audrey Timmonds, for WIDF News."
Animal then gave a thumbs up as Audrey lightly chuckles.
"Thanks, Audrey." Nick said.
"Sure." Audrey said.
"You were a real life-saver tonight." Martin said.
Audrey and Nick smiled as the Kratts Brothers knew Audrey redeemed herself to Nick.
Philippe meanwhile turns to a window as soft growling and a shadow looms on the window. Jimmy saw it too and had a Jurassic Park shiver down his spine.
"That's affirmative!" Hicks said on a phone. "Let me spell it out for you. I want you to blow up Madison Square Garden!"
Beeping was heard as Animal got to a computer, and saw a message, "YOU WIN. MILITARY SAYS YOU'VE GOT LESS THAN SIX MINUTES BEFORE YOU'RE ALL TOAST. GET OUT!" The last part showed red and flashed.
Philippe grabs a line of cord watching a window as a hatchling outside growled softly.
"What's the matter?" Chris asked.
"Um... Well, the good news is, they got that message." Animal said. "The bad news is, we got less than 6 minutes to get out of the building."
"Uh-oh." Aviva said.
"Okay, party's over." Philippe said. "Time to leave."
They moved aside as then Philippe shoots the window as they covered their ears, and the glass shattered as he tossed the line out.
Then crashing was heard as they saw hatchlings breaking through the windows growling. The growling continues as Philippe placed his hat on and more hatchlings crashed through the window and they turn to Philippe.
"Anyone care to join me?" Philippe said.
He then lowers himself down.
"Me!" Jimmy said quickly following him.
The hatchlings growled as they got to the window edge looking down.
"Where did you find this guy?" Animal asked as Koki begins to climb down.
"He's from France." Nick said.
"Okay, we better hurry." Chris said.
Author's Note:
One more chapter to go.
And in some cases, the hatchlings do almost remind me of the Jurassic Park Velociraptors.
And 2 days away from Fast X. And another 5 for Prehistoric Planet 2. And good news for Avatar fans, Avatar: The Way of Water finally arrives on Disney+ on June 7th.
