Wednesday's POV

Gliding across the scratched wooden floors Wednesday kept her eyes locked ahead scanning every inch within view for a certain someone. Her senses were all heightened, working immaculately together to accomplish their task at hand. Staying alert and vigilant, ready to dive head-first into the nearest doorway at any given moment. She knew it was risky going back to their shared room at this time of day, Enid was in between classes and could be there. But there truly was a 60/40 percent chance that she was instead gossiping away in the quad with her brainless minions. How they all could enjoy that pastime was still beyond her. Picking up speed her beating heart replicated the action, revving the gas harder the closer they became to the hopefully locked door. Her typewriter calling to her even from here, along with something else. Something undesirable and tormenting. Oh, how she hated her fleeting mind and its pesky desires. She knew that they were immature and temporary, only set off by that bloody night, yet they still slashed at her, deep to the bone. Keeping her up at all waking hours listening to her roommate's soft snores in agony, unable to forget the marvel. So she started detaching, it was the best course of action after all. And due to Enid's rigorous social schedule and newfound boy toy she mostly had their room to herself, making it easy. So as long as she woke before the late sleeper and returned late in the night hours, she'd always arrive to a peaceful Enid in her slumber, softly snoring away. Besides the murderous mouse was still at bay and keeping her busy at all hours. And Enid had barely even noticed.

Reaching out, her fingers grasped the door's handle pushing forward and into the room deep in thought. Her ears quickly delighted to hear nothing within. Or so she thought. As the door moved to open Thing rushed forward scurrying across her black boots to move ahead.

Of course, he wanted to go in first, such a diva. She scoffed internally gazing down at him as she moved to follow him in. All while watching her steps carefully remembering just how many broken fingers the unfortunate soul had endured back home at the Addams mansion. Too caught up in the moment, her senses failed her as a familiar voice penetrated her eardrums. Whipping her head up in panic she had merely milliseconds to see the pale vampire's fanged teeth grinning her way, just past a big purple mass. One in which was moving forward fast closing the centimeters between herself and themselves crashing straight into her. Yet instead of the impact she had prepared for and embraced, it was cut off as her neck snapped back. The excruciating sensation of Zeus's wraith himself torched through her as she went rigid. Her vision fading to black as the vision took its firm hold.

All of it flew by so fast, at first the sight of Thing frantically tapping across the wooden surface of their room's floor, his urgency apparent as his bum finger struggled to keep up. Then to Enid and the idiotic Gorgon panicking at some unknown news somehow involving her as Enid's lips smashed together in a worried "Where is Wednesday?". The sound of complete desperation making her swoon for her name had never been articulated with such woe. But then it all flew by, settling into the woods in the thick of night as the monster violently crashed her into the remanence of a dying tree, her body eerily thrumming with readiness for the sweet embrace of death. Which never came as she soon achingly fell to the ground while a werewolf tackled the hyde into the ground just yards away with a ferocious roar. Sending her toes curling and body shaking to the core at the feral sounds. But just as she thought the vision had had her where it wanted it tore her further from the exciting scene as it tossed her aside.

Her body smashed to the ground with a heavy thud as the chilly night's air nipped at her nose. Licking at any and all of her exposed skin with its bone-chilling touch. The scent of blood flowed through her airways, fresh in the air as the wind swished around her throwing her wispy hair askew. She pulled herself up to her knees willing her eyes to adjust to the nightfall, something they so oftenly yearned for. But not even a heartbeat later an ungodly snap thundered out around her chased by a deafening thud that shook the very ground beneath her. Demanding her attention to the weight that had shifted the world, her world. She stared on in disbelief as her rabid heart instantaneously recognized the beautiful soul just beneath her, the sight nearly shattering it into a million pieces. Her eyes teared up, threatening to break her one rule yet again as they stared at the gigantic wolf. Its pink locks were undeniable as it crumbled in the valley below beaten to a pulp and barely holding on. Its breaths ragged out in labored puffs as its eyes fought to glance up, using the last bit of her strength to connect with Wednesday's onlooking raven pair. The blue orbs pierced into her, forcing her to see her, to feel her. Excruciatingly accomplishing just that as Enid's eyes softened in suffering as she forced another breath, wincing painful but never once leaving Wednesday's eyes. Her eyes were full of pure admiration, of love, and of knowing. Knowing what was to come for her next.

As if on cue a giant claw appeared picking up the wolf in a horrendous scoop slamming her with ease up against a giant tree trunk, its long dagger-tipped claws gripping harder against Enid's furry windpipe successfully cutting off her high-pitch whimper as she kicked and slashed out at the monster to no avail. Enid's wolf was no match for the hyde, he was too big; nearly tripling her size and wingspan. Her silent scream rippled through the space between them as she watched on in retched horror as the green beast lifted his free claw rearing up to deliver the final blow. His claw moved with ease, muscles swelling in power as they tore through the air striking at Enid, dissipating everything to black.

Her head screamed out as it slammed her back to reality. And a very frustrating one at that. She thought as an ear-piercing screech filled her ears to the brim, risking her hearing's future and deeply infuriating her as she fought to open her eyes. Only so she could chastise the owner of the retched sounds. As the sun ripped through her eyelids and poisoned her brain she winced in pain at the migraine surging on.

Will they please shut the -

"Wednesday, hey! Hey!" Yelled frantically around her, just barely peaking out amongst the screams, as she tried to regain her consciousness. The sun's golden rays poisoning her eyesight more and more with every shouted attempt. "Wednesday, it's okay!"

"I'm going to get help." Urgently spoke another in a partially recognizable, yet unplaceable tone.

"Hurry!" Rushed out the other voice, calming Wednesday's freaking heart and mind as her soul sighed. Painfully reminding her that she could recognize her wolf even in a crowded room, a facility even. Though for that she knew she should not, for the sake of her own heart, open her eyes to. "Please, Wednesday tell me what's wrong. I promise everything is okay, you're safe. You can stop screaming."

You can stop screaming. She thought, her mind completely skipping over consciousness and pile-driving right for insanity. She was the one releasing such agonizingly annoying sounds, not her inescapable companions. Her head shriveled at the revolution, hissing at the immediate light exposure as her eyes flew open. But she relentlessly ignored it clamping her mouth shut and staring above, right into the blue eyes of the wolf. The onlooking orbs instantly relaxed at Wednesday's newly awakened and silenced state as her whole body went rigid in her roommate's lap. Seemingly unnoticeably as the other girl's blonde locks continued to cascade around them. Engulfing them in a curtain of Enid and shielding them away from the world, gently tickling Wednesday's cheeks. Her slender fingers mindlessly continuing to glide through Wednesday's dark hair attempting to soothe the smaller girl. And for some sacrilegious reason, it was working. Her heart raced knowing she should move as she lay across her roommate's legs. Her taunt thighs warming up her chilly back through the thin dark sweater she had chosen to wear this morning, regardless of the frostbitten weather outside. Sometimes she lovingly furrowed into mother nature's cold embrace, but now she could never think of having such a thought after having experienced Enid's warming touch. It was a thing of nightmares, poisoning her for the rest of her days to come as she knew she'd never get to experience such again.

"Wednesday! Are you okay?!" Shrieked out as the door to their shared space burst forward, nearly coming straight off of the hinges as a very frizzled Weems, terrifyingly concerned Thornhill, and paler than normal Yoko sprinted through. A loud boom echoed throughout the room as the door slammed into the wall behind as Weems looking less posh than ever entered her view, towering over the pair as Wednesday reached up promptly pushing Enid away and sitting up.

The show was over.

"I'm fine." She concluded standing up just as quickly and brushing herself off before moving around Weems and Enid. Avoiding any and all eye contact at all costs.

"But we heard your screams-" Thornhill started stopping short when Wednesday whipped around to make her her sole focus of attention. Her eyes staring daggers into the poor teacher's soul.

"I was having the utmost delightful nightmares until I was so rudely interrupted by all of you." She seethed, piercing her lips in annoyance. She needed to leave, to get out of here as far away from all of them, from Enid, as she could. "Now if you will all excuse me, I have better places to be."

Then without a second to leave it up for debate, she beelined for the wide open door, making a swift escape as the weight of Thing pressed against her shoulder. She ignored the calls that chased after her as she moved along, the corridors flying by as she disassociated and pushed on. She didn't need this and Enid most definitely did not need her. Before now she had been ignorantly ignoring Enid for selfish fleeting reasons, only half-assing it and allowing close calls. Close calls that had ended up with them here, that would end with them there. Stuck in the forest of silent screams as Enid died defensively beneath her.

She would not allow it.

Enid's life now depended on her and no monster, other than herself, was getting to take a stab at that.
