The Story of Sonic the Hedgehog
Chapter 1: South Island
The evil mad scientist Dr. Eggman is up to his old nasty tricks again. "Sonic... that annoying, impertinent hedgehog. Thanks to him, my great plans are always laid to waste! Oh, but this time, I'm going to rub him out with the power of science! Ha ha ha ha ha…"
South Island is a treasure trove of gems and ancient ruins. They say that it's the island where the mystical Chaos Emeralds lie. The Chaos Emeralds are a super-material that give energy to all living beings. Also, when applied to scientific purposes, they can be used for nuclear and laser-based weaponry. However, nobody knows exactly how to get a hold of these emeralds. At the same time, though, they do say that the reason why South Island is always moving is because the emeralds are somewhere inside the island's hazy depths.
One day, crisis visited upon the island. And who showed up with it but Dr. Eggman and his cronies. "I'll find those emeralds even if I have to dig up the entire island to do it!"
Dr. Eggman set up a fort in one corner of the island and went about carrying out his plan.
"Eggman, you still haven't had enough?!" Sonic hurried as soon as he heard the news. Dr. Eggman never seemed to leave him alone, even though Sonic had beaten him every time so far. It sounded like Dr. Eggman considered Sonic his sworn enemy, but he was never any match for Sonic.
However, this time something is amiss.
"Have you seen it, Sonic? This time is going to be different! Because this time, I've turned all the animals on the island into robots!"
"E... Everybody!?"
"All of them go about in accordance with my orders. In other words, Sonic, everyone on the island is your enemy! Gya— Ha ha ha ha ha ha *COUGH* *ACK* *AHEM*. This time, the world really will be all mine!"
"We'll see about that!" Sonic dashed off into the Green Hill Zone, chasing after Eggman. He ran through loop-de-loops, badniks, spike traps and much more… He ran past a signpost and found himself running into a giant ring, being teleported to the Special Zone, the home of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic worked his way through the rotating maze and collected one of the Six Chaos Emeralds, rushing on to soon encounter Dr. Eggman.
"My previous plans may have failed, but this time I will reign supreme!"
"You're welcome to try, Eggy!" Sonic remarked, smacking his behind to taunt Eggman, who opened the bottom of his Egg Mobile, revealing a ball and chain.
"See if you can get through THIS Sonic!" The ball begun swinging like a pendulum, Sonic ducking, and diving to avoid it, rolling into Dr. Eggman's Egg Mobile multiple times, soon detaching the chain and forcing Eggman to retreat.
"I WILL RETURN!" Eggman swore as he went off to the Bridge Zone, Sonic giving chase…
Sonic dashed his way through the Bridge Zone, the fiery Marble Zone, the tropical Jungle Zone, the bouncy Spring Yard Zone, the watery Labyrinth Zone, the starry Star Light Zone… All soon reaching the clockwork of Eggman's plan… Scrap Brain Zone, the air heavily polluted and the entire zone being made as a death trap for Sonic… He pressed forward, already having gathered the six Chaos Emeralds as he busted Badniks, dodged traps and sped on through, breaking into the main building itself he found Dr. Eggman behind a barrier, he smirked and jumped onto a switch next to him, which caused the ground under Sonic to collapse, sending him tumbling down to another part of the Labyrinth, Sonic holding his head as he got to his feet…
"Just what I needed… Alright, Eggman! Here we go!" Sonic held his breath as he dived into the water, getting hit by Arrows, Spikes, Orbinauts and grabbing what air he could, soon coming to a set of springs which launched him back up…
"An empty hallway leading to the outside…? Guess the Doctor isn't in-" He was cut off by two pistons slamming down around him, realising he was in a room filled with them…
"Stand still and die, you blue rodent!" Eggman shouted, Sonic responding with a Spin Attack, forcing Eggman to bring the piston down.
"I'm not a rodent, I'm a HEDGEHOG!" He retorted, waiting for Eggman to come down again before hitting the piston again… Soon enough, the entire base begun to explode, Sonic rushing to stop Eggman getting away in his Egg Mobile. He delivered a swift strike to it, causing Eggman to plummet down to the ground… Sonic ran off just as the Scrap Brain blew up, quickly making his way to the Green Hill Zone and telling his animal friends about Eggman's defeat when suddenly…
The Chaos Emeralds he picked up begun to glow as they came from his hands, circling around him… He touched one and It showed him some sort of vision… Afterward, the emeralds ridding South Island of its pollution and restoring plant life. Sonic looked around confused, but soon struck a pose as he ran off for the next adventure…
