It all began two years ago, when a series of unfortunate incidents happened at Hope's Peak Academy, a Japanese High School where the most talented people are allowed to attend (or at least, to the Main Course).

In fact, it has created a secondary course for talentless people, who can join if they pay a quite expensive fee.

Ironically, the creation of the Reserve Course was the start of Hope's Peak and Humanity's downfall.

In reality, the Reserve Course existed only to gather funds for the "Kamukura Project", the research to create the Ultimate Hope, a being with every single talent in the world, at the expense of the memories and personality of the "volunteer". The "volunteer" for the project was a boy with low self esteem named Hajime Hinata, he was so desperate to join the Main Course, that he would have felt so…Worthless. Thus, with the help of some mindscrewing, Hajime's personality was completely erased and remained only an extremely talented apathetic young man who finds everything in the world completely dull. His name? Izuru Kamakura.

Then, another catastrophic event was "the Tragedy of Hope's Peak Academy", where the entire Student Council of the school killed themselves.

The entire massacre was filmed and shared online, causing the Reserve Course to riot against the Steering Committee, knowing the reason for their expensive fees.

All of these events were orchestrated by one person, their name? The Master.

A Renegade Time Lord from another planet, that wants only to conquer and control as its Lord and Master.

However, their most recent regeneration drastically changed their desire. Now, the Master wants only to spread Despair across the universe starting with Earth, his archnemesis' favourite planet.

His newly regenerated body was completely different from the others. Usually he was a man, he was now a teenage girl with strawberry blonde hair, blue-ish eyes and a beautiful body worthy of a model, especially her large breasts. So, "she" decided to pose as a normal student at Hope's Peak Academy Main Course named "Junko Enoshima", her title was "Super High School-Level Gyaru" and, with the help of Mukuro Ikusaba, the "SHSL Soldier" who the Master brainwashed to be her servant and "sister" staged "the Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History".

The Master's brainwashing techniques were an important fact for the success of her plan. With that, she first tested her brainwashing on a class of 16 talented students, Class 77-B, and forced them to be obsessed with seeking Despair. They became the Master's servant, the "SHSL Despair".

Thanks to them, the Master could use an army of Cybermen (named "Cyberkumas") to convert useful people into her minions.

And thus, they did. Every single army, every single Government of the planet fell against the army of Cyberkumas, especially since UNIT, the organisation that could have stood a chance against the Master, has been disbanded.

The world fell into the Despair, while a 4-rhythm drum beat played as its BGM.

Meanwhile, a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) with the appearance of an old British blue police box was crashing on Earth.

On the inside there was a young woman with short blonde hair.

That woman was the Time Lord known only as the Doctor at their Thirteenth (technically Fifteenth) incarnation and was trying to alleviate the crash.

Luckily, she managed to alleviate the impact, not getting her killed and making the TARDIS explode.

Unfortunately, this crash triggered her regeneration. Her new body was now much younger, that of a short Japanese teenage boy with brown spiky hair and an ahoge and green eyes.

His mind was dizzy due to the post-regeneration, but one thought remained in his mind: Get out of the TARDIS.

However, saying that what he saw outside was horrifying would be an understatement.

Everything was destroyed, houses, cars, buildings, everything. The sky was crimson red and the Doctor could hear the frightened screams of people getting killed and/or converted by the Cyberkumas.

The Doctor in that situation could say one word, just one:

"What?…What?!...WHAT?!"
