This Fic is my response/thoughts about "Naruto: Romance, Politics, and the Uchiha Problem" by Daastan go and is also sort of inspired by that fic . This is not a story and an anthology/thoughts/journal about naruto and its fandom at best and a rant at its worst . It will have copy pasted material mostly from Daastan go's fic to highlight certain points and i do not seek to gain any popularity or make money from it as it is not a story . This fic is also from the perspective of a rational man as unlike daastan go im not an anarcho communist woman but a common man that believes in freedom and democracy and I would try not to ban the comments if I get replies that are unfavourable to me though if you wish to have a civil discussion , you may do so in the comments but giving me death threats would only mean you are a sore loser with 0 civility or common sense

- The ridiculuous hero worship of Itachi done by the fandom
Ah where do i even begin with this one . Itachi , a literal genocidal maniac is shown as a "peace loving hero" even tho he commits genocide , albeit at the orders of Danzo . While some ppl may say he was under orders , i would like to remind them that in the trials after WW2 in our own world , many nazi officers did say that they were "under orders" but that did not excuse their heinous crimes , similarly the orders bullshit does not excuse his heinous crimes either and also his decisions do not make a lick of sense as killing the uchiha weakened the leaf by a lot meaning it made them just as much of a prime target for invasion by other countries but alas , Itachi was too busy choking on Danzo's dick to provide his brain the oxygen needed for actual critical thinking .
Also , people claim that he did it to protect Leaf. But is it really that simple? Not quite. Why did Itachi do this and to protect whom? Konoha against outside forces if a civil war broke out? It's strange that we know for a fact that Konoha was completely obliterated once (Pain's attack), lost Hokages twice, and during one attack, even Kurama broke loose. Each time, Kohona suffered massive casualties and damage to its infrastructure. Massive! I won't count the Sand Village as one to take advantage of the situation because they were fully involved in Orochimaru's plan to attack the village from the inside during the Chunin exams.
Now, why did no village take advantage of the chaos and take Konoha out and even take Kurama? These look like golden opportunities, don't they? It's that "treaties" with the other villages were in place, or the villages were dealing with their own issues. Mist had its own problems with the "Bloody Mist" affair, which was only cleaned up properly when Mei took charge. Mist became "Bloody Mist" back during the 3rd Mizukage's time and it was made even worse by Obito who was controlling the 4th Mizukage from behind the curtains. Cloud's Hachibi had just found a more suitable host, and Bee had gone into training to learn the Tailed Beast Bomb. In fact, he never left the village during the time he trained to become a perfect Jinchuriki, which means that his fights with Minato happened before all of that. Similarly, Raikage was amassing Jutus during that time, and he'd also tried to kidnap Hinata, after which a peace-treaty was signed by offering him Neji's father's head. Onoki makes a reference to that that it takes a lot of time to take control of the Bijū. It isn't something a host can accomplish overnight.
Sand was already too weak to attack Konoha on its own as Gaara's father tried to make him into a weapon with the whole Yashamaru affair but failed and then repeatedly tried to assassinate him (he couldn't control the Bijū properly), and he killed people for sport and tried to kill himself, too, because of his deep-seated mental issues. He was unstable due to the psychological abuse he was being put through, which is why he changed before the plan ever took shape during their attack on Leaf. Onoki was busy paying the Akatsuki to commit terrorism through Akatsuki. Who else's left behind? No one. So who was Itachi going to protect his village against? It makes no damn sense , much like the people who hero worship Itachi . [this part was copied from Daastan go's work and edited to remove some errors] .
This is not only absurd but bone-chilling as a message of peace as Itachi, a remorseless génocidaire, is passed off as not only someone admirable but also a force of peace. If you don't find anything wrong with this, it's time for some serious introspection as this is as morally distasteful as it can get.[fully copied from Daastan go]
Even though I do not hate Kishimoto Sensei and even defend him sometimes , this was where he got genuinely fucked up by studio pierrot and his editors and pressure from horny female viewers who wanted him to redeem Shitachi
The manga shows us that utranationalism is the key to lasting peace. The village is literally gated off. No one enters or leaves without permission from authority. The unification of the village under the statist military plus the slaughter of any and all potential defectors is pretty telling. It's frightening that "the will of fire" and protecting the state is the only honourable and good goal or ideology to have in this series as shown by Sasuke only ever being seen as "not evil" when he's beaten down into conforming to the very government that committed genocide against his people. In fact, the manga goes as far as to equate this repulsive Will of Fire dogma to Godhood through Shikamaru during his battle with Hidan. That should tell you something. (God, I truly can't stand Shikamaru as a character, another greasy byproduct of self-projections from people who firmly believe that they can be geniuses, too, if they weren't lazy.)

However in this part of her fic , Daastan go hates on the USA for killing ppl in Pakistan and other islamic nations but forgets to mention that the USA also supported these islamic nations' terrorist groups with US pres Jimmy Carter creating Taliban in 1979 and even before that NATO supported Pakistan in the 1971 Indo pak war for the liberation of Bangladesh though mostly cause of the insistence of the Brits as India didnt want to be their bitch in the cold war and remain an independent non alligned democracy (this is a wholeass massive story in and of itself and i will stop here) . The USA also sent money to the mujahideen through Operation Cyclone (you can google it) . No hate to Daastan go but i felt the need to correct her that these terrorists were actually bad guys that the USA supported first cuz of brits(FULL OFFENCE AND FUCK THE BRITS).
Back to Naruto
Apparently, ideologies are inherited not just by fate but also by your genetics. The Senju-Uzumaki obviously have "The will of fire", which is known to be the supreme ideology of uniting and enduring the hardships of the world under the totalitarian government but never pursuing revolution for the better. "The curse of hatred" is its counterpart which has its origins exclusively in the Uchiha ancestry even though its utter bullshit scientifically and ethically as love and family are not a bad thing but in Japanese and most asian culture servitude/hierarchy is put over other stuff like family and love so its seen as bad (which is why so many asian parents are abusive and a lot of arranged marriages happen in asia . dw im asian myself) . The narrative also very desperately tries to paint the pursuit of revolution to prevent more violence as evil, bloodthirsty, and selfish . That's why you have a slew of Sakura wankers writing "bad bitch!" Sakura fictions in which she lets the meanie "hater" Sasuke get it, and, afterwards, she wins the better Uchiha cock, of Uchiha Itachi, as her prize! Yay! Queen! and yet revolution or equal rights or the safefy of children (things Sasuke wanted to bring about) are seen as evil but child soldiers are not , thats some crazy ass bullshit right there . However , given its from the same country that sent its own pilots on suicide planes , it's not that hard to see where this bs comes from(no hate to japanese ppl but they did send kamikaze fighters in WW2) .
Also Konoha treated the Uchiha's horribly . Tobirama literally created Apartheid against the Uchiha to isolate them and he himself states that in the manga and then Shisui and Itachi become the Biggest uncle toms and instead of fighting and protesting about Konoha'a blatant racism , they doom their own clan .
Itachi is also not very smart as his fandom claims him to be , literally in his fights , he wins due to hax and asspull and not a single due to talent or skill

3. Amatersu to escape jiraiya tsukuyomi on Sasuke
4. Izanami on Kabuto
5. Totsuka blade against Orochimaru
not a single victory due to talent or skill but just hax he got thnx to plot and ppl say Sasuke has plot armor(those ppl are dumbasses) . Also , Itachi does not love Sasuke , he loves an idealised version of Sasuke thats in his head(psychosis much?) much like how Illumi loved Killua(Kishimoto sensei really copied this shit from Togashi Sensei but fucked up) as he was willing to use kotoamatsukami on Sasuke to completely warp his mind and change Sasuke to whatever Itachi liked though thankfully Naruto called him out on his bs in the war arc and rejected Shisui's eye .
In conclusion , Itachi is an extremely overrated character who is not all that op(he gets jobbed by Gai sensei n Tsunade) and is a genocidal maniac and not a "kind gentle soul" that you can ship with your preferred projection of choice and a loyal lapdog of Konoha and a total Uncle Tom willing to slaughter his own people for the greater good and treats humans as numbers which is some absolute commie bullshit so please stop worshipping and just shipping him(pun intended) and if you want to do so , make it a non mass au like AOTDOY , its a fic series on AO3 which is quite amazing and i highly recommend checking it out .
