Tori, the shapeshifter, was smoking a cigarette and was thinking of how she could take down the Dean on her own. She had been approached by the Dean when Carmilla had started attending Silas University as a student. She was warned that no harm could come to her, so the shapeshifter had secretly been Carmilla's bodyguard.
As time had passed, Tori realized that there was something more dangerous going on when it came to the Dean and Carmilla. There were students now disappearing off of campus and never to be seen again. Each time this happened, she was pretty sure that the Dean and Carmilla were involved.
When the Dean had asked for her to kidnap Carmilla's love interest, then that was going a bit too far for her liking. She did like scaring students every once in a while, but not while the Dean had her under her control. She played along with the Dean as to not get on her bad side like Carmilla had done.
She was writing down notes on a piece of paper when she heard a voice above her.
"That's not going to work against her."
"Great…"
Tori crumpled up the piece of paper and lit it on fire with her lighter.
"Why didn't you try getting rid of her?"
Carmilla jumped down from the rooftop and landed gracefully on the ground.
"She's the closest thing I had to family, but then I met Laura."
"Laura's worth giving up everything you know?"
"Yes, she's worth everything."
"I'm Tori, by the way."
Laura woke up and realized that Carmilla was nowhere in sight. She collected everything and made her way down the steps to where Tori and Carmilla were talking.
"Oh, you're awake."
"Tori is trying to take down my mother and I told her to take the opportunity. After all my mother has done to me and others, she needs to be killed."
"Are you going to kill her, Carmilla?"
"Not if Tori can kill her. It won't be easy to do though. She didn't survive this long on a whim."
"But you promised."
Carmilla walked over to Laura, "I will do anything to protect you, even if it means killing my mother."
"Why can't we lock her away somewhere?"
"Where would we put her?"
"It's not like a giant pit is going to swallow her up whole or anything."
The three of them decided to walk back to Laura's dorm and Betty was nowhere to be seen, but that wasn't unusual.
"Do you think the Dean has Betty?"
Laura was worried about her roommate and Tori shook her head, "We passed by her on our way here, but she ignored us."
Carmilla was thinking of ways of taking down her mother and for her, decapitation seemed like a pleasant idea.
"I'm thinking we could decapitate her, but it seems like it could be a mess."
Tori nodded, "Yeah, too messy. I say we stick her in the ground like your girlfriend suggested."
"So there is a pit big enough to keep her?" Laura seemed very hopeful.
"We can make one, but I think getting rid of her permanently is the way to go. Someone will have to take over for her."
Tori said, "There's a board that oversees everything on campus, but the Dean keeps them away from here, which is smart. I'm sure if they found out that this is a hunting ground, they'd be mighty pissed."
"I'm done hunting for my mother and she knows this. If she's going after anyone, then it would be me. She couldn't get to Laura, so I'll probably be her next victim."
Laura held onto Carmilla's arm, "I can't let that happen."
Carmilla smiled at Laura, "Everything will work out in the end. Trust me, Laura."
"I do."
