Shifu watched his students with pride all his students were doing great with training. Po came into the training hall late and out of breathe.

"Panda! Where were you! You were supposed to be here before sunrise like the rest it is nearly noon!" Shifu says angrily as Po looked down and Po rubbed the back of his neck

"Sorry Master I overslept." Po admitted as Shifu looked disappointed by this and angry

Shifu went to Po to talk to him while the others were training Shifu had noticed Po was oversleeping alot.

"Po this is the third time you've been late to training. I want you to stop staying up late at night. Your bedtime is now nine o'clock if I catch you up tonight ill deal with you in my office in the morning is that clear?" Shifu asked Po as Po nodded and Po sighed

"Yes Master I'm sorry." Po says looking at his kung fu master and Shifu nodded

Po went to train as Shifu watched his students and Shifu heard the messager duck arrive. Shifu went to to messager and grabbed the letter that arrived.

It had been two months since Po's father had died and Po closed the noddle shop not wanting to continue it without his father. Noodles wasn't Po's thing anymore and now that Po's father was gone Po had no one.

"What's this?" Shifu asked as he opened the letter that was addressed to him from Ping and Shifu blinked for a minute

The goose died two months ago why was this reaching him now? Shifu opened the letter and attached to the letter was a adoption paper.

Dear Shifu,

I don't have much time. But I trust you with Po you are like a father to him. So my last request is that you adopt him as your own son. Please do this for me, Po has no one else to depend on and your the only one I trust with my boy.

Shifu stared at the letter and the adoption paper he couldn't believe Ping did this before he died. Shifu got the adoption paper from the letter and Shifu looked at Po. Po his son? Shifu thought about it really hard and decided that's what Po needed. When Monkey, Vipe, Mantis, Crane and Tigress left. Po was the only one there training since he was late.

"Po a word in my office." Shifu says looking at Po and Po froze

Po didn't know what he had done but he followed Shifu quickly as Shifu closed his office door looking at Po.

"Po I received a late letter from your father. It seems he wanted me to adopt you as my son. I have one simple question. Would you consider that?" Shifu asked as Po's mouth opened wide and Po nodded quickly

"Yes Master Shifu I would like that! You wouldn't replace my dad but thank you. Yes I would like it if you adopted me." Po says as Shifu nodded and Shifu signed the paper

Shifu had the mail duck send the adoption paper to get an official seal. Po smiled at Shifu and Shifu nodded at Po. Po had a dad again but Po swore Shifu wasn't going to replace Ping.

" Now finish your training Po." Shifu says looking at Po and Po smiled happily

"Yes Master Shifu." Po says running off to train and Shifu walked away

Shifu knew he couldn't make the same mistake he did with Tai Lung because Po was already grown up and he knew Po wasn't ready to be called Son yet by anyone so he didn't push him.

That evening

Po was late for dinner he rushed all the way to the dining hall where everyone was there expect him. Shifu glared at him when Po arrived and Po's ears pinned back.

"Panda your late, I should send you to bed without supper but your already here so sit and eat in silence." Shifu says angrily and Po looked down his jade eyes filled with tears

"Yes Master." Po says looking down sadly and Po grabbed his dinner

Po ate in slience like Shifu ordered him to do and Po felt bad that he was late again to something. Shifu ate he was very disappointed in Po right now he was going to talk to Po alone when the rest left.

After everyone left Shifu stopped Po from leaving and Po sat down his ears pinned back.

"Po I told you before not to be late to another thing today. I'm very disappointed in you young man." Shifu scolded Po and Po looked down with tears

"I'm sorry Master." Po says looking down sadly and Shifu sighed heavily

Shifu didn't want a bad relationship with his new son and right now the relationship was beginning to look like that. Po pinned his ears and tears going down his cheeks.

"Po next time your late I will punish you harshly." Shifu says looking at Po and Po nodded quickly

"Yes sir I won't be late again." Po says looking at Shifu and Shifu nodded at Po

Shifu gave the signal for Po to leave and Po left the dining hall. Shifu sighed heavily and Shifu rubbed his temples. Shifu got up and Shifu went to his room ready for bed.

The next morning

Po was sleeping peacefully when he woke up he realized he was late! Shifu was going to be so mad at him. Po ran to the training hall after getting his pants on and Po made it there to see an angry Shifu.

"Panda! My office now!" Shifu says angrily and Po's ears pinned back

Po went to Shifu's office and Shifu went to his office following behind Po. Shifu arrived at his office with Po and Shifu closed the door.

Po looked at Shifu and Shifu looked at Po with an angry look. Po looked at Shifu and Shifu sighed at him.

"I told you not to be late, I gave you a warning I gave you a bedtime and I had you eat dinner quietly. Look Panda I gave you plenty of chances but now I'm done." Shifu says looking at Po and Po's ears pinned back with tears

"Master i...I'm sorry." Po says looking at Shifu and Shifu looked at Po
