'Ooh! What is this?' Nell asked when she opened up the box.
'It's a scarf. I made it for you, with a little help from Hetty.' Eric replied. 'She says it can be used as self defense if you're in a jam.'
'Hmm. Very nice. Just out of curiosity, how much of this did you make? Because you don't seem like the type who would be good at sewing.'
'Nuts, she got me!' Eric thought in defeat. 'Okay um, Hetty actually sewed the whole thing. She got concerned that I would stab myself with the needles, and I also needed help with trying to make the scarf even look like a weapon. So, she made everything. Hope you don't mind.'
'No, not at all! Guess that means I have 2 people to thank for this lovely gift. Is she around by any chance?' Nell asked.
'I think she's in her office.' Eric replied.
Hetty's office.
'I'm glad you like the scarf! At least someone appreciates my sewing.' Hetty said.
'Someone didn't like your sewing before?' Nell asked, curious.
'I made Owen a scarf, and he thought it was too girly! Can you believe it? How can a scarf be too girly?!'
Nell laughed. 'That's so silly!'
'I know!'
