Ok, so, I don't usually put these in, but this chapter has torture through electric shock. Only a little of it, but here is my warning. I put a punch of plus signes where it ends. So yeah.

Vee cried out as the collar her captor had put around her neck activated again.

"Tell us how to make a portal."

"I DON'T KNOW!" She cried desperately. "Please! I don't know!"

Her desperation fell onto deaf ears as the collar activated again.

"AHHHHHH!"

Her captors, pale human-like creatures with filed down teeth and soulless black eyes, smiled as they watched her scream in pain.

They looked human, just like her cellmate, and just like her cellmate, they weren't.

She could see the creature's sadistic smile through the film of tears that covered her eyes.

"Tell us how you got to the human realm, and this can all end."

"I don't know! I don't know! Please believe me!" She knew what would happen before it happened. "AAHHHHHHH!" She was lying of course, and they knew it.

She had endured enough of the torture Emperor Belos inflicted upon her to withstand what they were putting her through. She knew that she couldn't let the Mogadorians know how to get to the Demon Realm. Nine had told her what they did to Lorien, and she couldn't let them do it to the Demon Realm and the people that lived there.

She didn't know how long she was there. Each day they took her to the same cell, and asked the same questions, over and over again, hoping to eventually break her.

She knew she would eventually, just to get the pain to stop, but they had made one mistake that stopped her from breaking on that first day in the prison.

They had put her cell next to Nine.

Nine was an Alien from the race that the Mogadorians had almost entirely wiped out.

He had super hearing, and had been able to hear her crying.

He had slid a note under the wall between them, written on a piece of rock, scratched onto it.

He had told her that he was there for her, and that no matter what, she couldn't break. They would just kill her slowly.

He told her about the Loric and the charm, along with how he had been caught because of him trusting a human, and once they caught him, they had killed her.

She whispered to him through the wall, telling him about the Demon Realm, Belos, coming through the portal to earth, and the precious few peaceful days she had spent in the Human Realm before being captured.

She was thrown back into her cell. They never took off her collar of course, as it was what stopped her from shapeshifting.

She leaned her back against the wall to Nine's cell. Today was bad. As always.

She heard the tell tale slide of a chunk of rock entering her cell, and she grabbed it quickly, reading it. A hand sheltering the view of it from the everpresent cameras.

'What have you done today Vee?'

She smiled. Nine always asked her that question. At first, she didn't understand, but then he explained it to her. He wanted her to make up a fictional life for her to pretend she was living. It didn't seem healthy, but it was so fun. One of the few highlights of her day.

"Let's see." She whispered. "Today, I went out to a park, and just breathed in the fresh air, listening to the wildlife. There was no one else. Just me, so I didn't have to take a human form. I slithered through the dirt. Picking flowers. I made a crown out of them." She closed her eyes and let herself pretend she could feel the sunlight on her face and the flower crown on her brow. "How about you Nine?"

She waited while he scratched out his answer into the nearest rock.

'Let's see. I think today, I played Video games with Sandor. We played Co-op in Call of duty and ordered a pizza. We didn't even leave the couch all day except for lunch. We just played the game. Then, We watched a movie.'

"What was it about?"

'It was about a rat who wanted to be a cook and a man who is a clutz trying to keep his job. They work together, and with the rat's expertise mixed with the humans ability 'to appear human', to quote the movie, they manage to make amazing food together.'

She laughed. She kept it quiet of course, but she couldn't help it.

"That sounds ridiculous."

'It was, gloriously so. When we get out, I'll watch it with you.'

"I look forward to it."

'What is your favorite movie? Does the demon realm even have movies?'

She gave a bittersweet smile. "It does, but I never got to see any. I did manage to see one on my second day in the Human Realm. I think it was called Luca. It was about two young boys who were secretly sea monsters who wanted to live above land. But they knew they wouldn't be accepted, so they hid their true nature. They made friends, and by the end of the movie, they found acceptance among the humans."

'I can see why you would like it. You'll have to show me some time. My favorite movie has changed a lot, but it is always about the underdog coming out on top. Usually with a lot of asskicking.'

She laughed again. Quietly of course. "I should have figured."

'What can I say, I like me a good fight scene. The more asskicking, the better. Your turn to ask a question.'

"Ok." She thought about it for a moment. "What will you do the moment we get out?"

'Kill Mogadorians. Although right after that, I am going to show you my place in chicago. It is a very nice place. Very fancy, very luxurious. We even had a shooting range. You?'

"I am going for a walk in the forest. Is walk the right word? Technically I slither everywhere. Whatever, you get my point. I want to see nature. Although I am also tempted to look for something magical to drain. I am so hungry."

'Ok, my turn. What does magic taste like?'

She hummed. "It depends on the magic. Most magic tastes kinda sour. Like lemonade. Although a lot of magic tastes bitter."

'Cool. I can hear the Mogadorians approaching the door to my cell. Remember, stay strong, say nothing. I'll speak to you as soon as I'm back.'

She took a deep breath. "Stay Strong, Say nothing. Good luck."

'Thank you Vee.'

"Thank you Nine."

She carefully moved the rocks along with her, hiding them from the camera with her tail, and swept them under her bed in the same motion as she sat down in.

She took a deep breath and fell into a light, nightmare filled sleep.
