It was the ninth anniversary of the defeat of the fearsome Nine-Tailed Fox Demon. The people of Konoha Were celebrating all throughout the Village. For some, The feeling of Unity and Happiness Washed over the Villagers. Amidst the Happiness There were also feelings of hurt, and sadness.
But for most, The feeling of Anger overpowered the other emotions that plagued the night.
This said Anger and disgust was always directed towards an eight year-old blonde.
To them Naruto Uzumaki was indeed the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon that Destroyed part of the village 9 years ago.
To his credit he never knew the truth.
He never knew why he was so hated
He never knew the reason why they sent him looks of Hate, Rage, and disgust or out right ignored him.
He was constantly thrown out of Shops, driven from the streets, and yelled at, Calling him 'Demon brat' or 'Filthy scum' by most of the village
And that wasn't even mentioning the fact that they overpriced his purchases if they did let him in, either giving him worn-out clothing, Dulled Ninja tools or Rotten/molded Food when he entered a Food Market or Restaurant.
He was always alone, No friends, No Sisters, no brothers, and certainly No Parents.
Although he did have Hokage jiji with him, he saw the man as his surrogate grandfather, but it wasn't enough.
It wasn't enough to relieve him of the pain of loneliness.
He knew the pain of loneliness, and on top of that the pain of being shunned and hated by all he knew.
Any normal people would have probably caved by now, Yet He kept his head held high where most would have drowned beneath the raging Waves of loneliness and despair. He saw this Village and its people for what they truly are, yet he still hoped and dreamed. He was Someone who wore his heart on his sleeve. He forgave, and forgave, and forgave because he can, and he will and he won't hate.
He. Won't.
Yet the Villagers Never saw that, they never saw Naruto Uzumaki, The kind and Forgiving Child that he was.
Whether it was out of their own grief, Anger, or just their own delusions, They only saw The Nine-Tailed Fox Demon.
The Demon who killed all their loved ones 8 years ago.
And it is why the Anger was at an all time high for the blonde boy tonight, it always was on October 10.
A Mob of Villagers cornered the young blonde. Ready to Avenge their loved ones and finished what Lord 4th started.
"P-please…" The young boy said. Fear leaking into his voice. "I'm S-sorry… I won't e-ever bother you all a-again, please don't h-hurt me…"
A shop owner threw the young boy to the ground before stomping on the boy's stomach, electing a gasp of pain from him. "You demon brat, you think that those tears will deceive us? You sicken me, trying to take the disguise of a child to escape retribution… WE WON'T BE TRICKED, WILL WE MEN?!"
A roar of approval greeted him as the others in the group came running up, offering him congratulations while looking at the child with malice in their eyes.
"Wait no ple-" the boy began to beg only to be met with a fist to the jaw, dislocating it.
Crack
Another Villager slammed a sharpened metal pipe towards the boy's Right muscle, as the skin and flesh ripped from the boy, showing muscle and tendons.
Naruto tried to scream but was stopped by another Villager wrapping a cloth around the blonde's mouth, preventing sound from Naruto's vocal cords to surface.
"YOUR NOTHING MORE THAN A FILTHY DEMON WHO NEEDS TO BE DISPOSED OF!!!" A woman's voice shouted as she smacked Naruto's head with a metal bat, causing a loud echo to ring across the clearing, which also made the said metal-bat to bend in an unusual manner.
Blood poured from Naruto's head, as the wound leaked blood across his face, mixing with his tears as he cried from all the pain.
The crowd took turns to strike the small boy. They stomped, kicked, punched, pounded, cut, slashed, and threw his small frame to and from each other, breaking both his arms. Shoulders dislocated, torn muscles and ligaments.
He cried, Begged, pleading with them to stop, but alas his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Why?
Why was he treated like this?
What did he do to deserve this?
Why won't they just tell me?
At least he'd try to understand why they do what they do.
It hurt.
Everything hurt.
They continued to hurt him.
He needed to escape, escape the pain.
One of the villagers tried to punch him, he took the opportunity to dodge it and scurried to his feet and began to run as fast as his little legs could take him, running into the forest.
"THE DEMONS TRYING TO ESCAPE!!!"One of the Villagers screamed, about running after the boy, but was stopped by shadowy figures as the mob of villagers were knocked clean out one by one.
The Anbu squad tasked to protect Naruto had jumped down just in time to see Naruto run into the forest and the mob ready to chase after the boy.
They swiftly knocked the villagers out, and given the fact that they attacked the boy they were surely to be executed thanks to the Sandaime's law.
"Captain." a purple haired Anbu member called out. "We need to find Naruto for medical treatment."
The said Captain, who had gravity defying Silver-hair nod and looked at the other members of the squad and spoke with authority.
"Me and Cat will go and find Naruto, the rest of you take the Villagers." The captain said, "Fox, inform Lord Hokage of our situation."
"Understood." all of them said as they did what they were told.
Naruto ran.
He ran as fast and as far as he could.
He didn't want to be hurt by them again.
Suddenly a gut feeling of being chased enveloped him and his senses. thinking he was still being chased by the Villagers, he continued to run.
Ran and ran until he stumbled across what seemed to be some kind of safe house, near the outskirts of the village.
He quickly ran towards it, trying to find safety, to hide from the villagers, he noticed that there were sealing tags around it, but he paid no mind to it as he ran inside.
Closing the door, he sat down, he coughed up blood, his wounds were grave, he panted, blood still leaked out his head and mouth. He definitely had some broken ribs, fractured skull, torn skin, flesh, muscles on his arms and waist, and shoulders. if it weren't for his faster than average healing, he probably would've died on the way here, but if his wounds wouldn't kill him then the blood loss would.
Coughing up blood he surveyed his surroundings, looking around he found, in front of him was a few small bags, on a table nailed onto a wall.
Naruto got on to his wobbly feet, Looking to his right he found a small bed with some fencing around it with small stairs leading up to it
The walls and ceiling were a light gray color with wooden flooring, a greenish rug on it as well.
He looked back to his left, and was surprised to see a three pronged kunai hanging from a thin cable, with some kind of writing on the handle.
He walked towards the kunai, with shaky feet, when he got near it he saw, in the corner of his eyes, a folded papers on the table. He wasn't going to pay it no mind until the said paper had his name on it.
He looked at it, a confused expression on his face. Why was there a pieces of folded papers with his name here? Had he been here before?
Grabbing the folded papers he quickly unfolded the papers, not prepared to read the contents inside.
Dear Naruto,
It's me, your mom. My name is Kushina Uzumaki, and I'm pregnant with you as I write this. Your father and I are writing these letters in case anything happens on the day that you're born. By that I mean we'll be dead, and the Nine-tailed Fox will be sealed away inside you. I know this because I will have had the Nine-tails inside me. I hope it never happens, but you need to know that it was never our intention to let you have the Nine-tails inside you. We are truly sorry, but if you are reading this it means we had no choice. Remember that we will always love you no matter what.
Anyway I should prove that I'm your mom by saying that you've probably sucked at school, I know because I'm the same way hee-hee. That should prove it. Anyway, I hope you've read this letter first so that way you'll be surprised at who your dad is. Anyway, I should get to my last words to you in case something does go wrong, but I doubt it.
I want you to study hard if you're still in school, make lots of friends, eat healthy (meaning lots of vegetables), and I hope you'll find an amazing girl that'll make you happier than anything else. Remember that I'll always be with you inside your heart. I love you, son.
Love, Mom.
P.s. Do some research on the Uzumaki clan, we're all but extinct. And our country was located about 20 miles North-East of the Land of Waves I believe, anyway that was after most of our clan was eliminated and our country destroyed. Almost forgot to mention that some of the Uzumaki sealing and Kenjutsu scrolls are in the Namikaze Estate.
Anyway, I'll always love you my son. Bye.
Naruto couldn't believe it, a letter from his mom inside the 4th Hokage's Safe house. Naruto had an Idea who his dad was, but to be sure he read the other letter.
Dear Naruto,
It's me, your dad. My name is Minato Namikaze, otherwise known as the 'Yellow Flash' or the '4th Hokage'. If You're reading this, then it means you have the Nine-tailed Fox sealed inside you and we are no longer with you and the living. I'm sorry that it had to come to this, your mom and I never wanted this. My wish was for you to be seen as a hero. I hope that's the case, but people can be fickle. I hope you can forgive us.
I know it must be a shock, since if you found these letters you probably didn't know we were your parents. The 3rd hopefully told you, but only when he thought you were ready to know the truth. If he didn't tell you, then please don't be so hard on him. He only does what he thinks is best for the people of the village. It may not be the right decision but he did what he thought needed to be done.
Anyway, I guess I should get my dreams for you out of the way like your mom most likely did haha. Well, I guess they're for the most part the same. Except with the fact that I want you to be the best ninja you can possibly be, if that's what you so choose. But I want you to follow your dreams Naruto, I wish you the best. I love you Naruto, always remember that.
Love, dad.
P.s. all your inheritance and Clan Jutsu scrolls are in the Namikaze Estate, just 2 kilometers north-west of here, and these letters are meant for you. Oh and don't blame Kakashi or Jiraiya-sensei either. I love you my son. Bye.
Naruto just stared at the letters. He couldn't believe what he read. The man who was his idol and the one who condemned his life to be hell…
was his own father.
Then reality slapped him across the face.
"Wait… I… have the Nine-tails sealed in me?"
Then the realization hit him.
There was the answer to all his questions.
Why was he hated?
Why did the villagers glare at him?
Why did the villagers treat him like he was nothing more than a nuisance?
Why was he ignored?
Why was he treated like he didn't exist?
And yet there was one question that he had and always wanted to know, even if all the previous ones remained a mystery to the young blonde.
"Who Were My Parents?"
Naruto's vision became blurry. The sudden shock of being the heir of 2 nearly extinct clans, with the revelation of being the jailer of the Kyuubi no youko made the young blonde nearly faint with shock.
And that's not even taking into account the blood loss he endured. With all these taken into account, Naruto lost consciousness, laying in a pool of his own blood, exhausted.
Drip
Drip
Drip
Naruto Awoke to the sound of water dripping, he looked around a sense of fear and confusion taking over him due to the unfamiliar environment.
One minute he's in a safe house with revelations of being the fourth's child and the reveal of being the container of the Kyuubi no Youko and the next minute he's in a place that reminded him of a semi-flooding sewer.
Finally getting to his feet, he noticed pipes running along the 'ceiling', and decided to follow them hoping they'd lead to a way out. After a few minutes of twists and turns while walking along the path that seemed to go on and on forever, he reached a rather large open room. What was curious though was that about a few dozen yards away was a set of golden gates, and in the center of it above where the keyhole appeared was a piece of paper with the word 'barrier' written across it.
It only took him a moment for the child to realize what was behind those bars.
"So...My jailer has finally come to visit me…" A deep voice bellowed out, seeming to come from every direction of the room.
Naruto was overcome with a sense of fear as he stared at the being before him.
"K-kyuubi No Y-youko…" Naruto was only able to mutter out.
"You are correct, kit ...I am...a demon to put it simply. I am the 'Kyuubi no Youko', the strongest of all the 9 Bijuu. More importantly right now, I am your prisoner in this place." The voice finished, before walking up to the gates as close as it could revealing itself.
Naruto almost jumped out of his skin when the voice's form came into the light, after all it's not everyday you come within a few yards of a fifty-story red fox.
"Y...you're HUGE!"
"Quite astute. As for your observations about where we are...you're wrong. This isn't like a dream at all...this is literally your mind, the deepest recesses of your mind but your mind nonetheless. By now you already know why you didn't recognize my voice so I will not waste the time to explain. As for the last thing… it's fortunate because I was not expecting you to show up for another half decade or so. Which means we can start your 'training' more than 5 years sooner than I had planned."
After learning whose voice this was, Naruto listened intently to each word spoken trying to understand the best he could. After the fox finished the explanation, Naruto, though getting some questions answered, seemed to pop into his head, and he voiced them without consequence.
"Um...How exactly did you get 'imprisoned' by my father as you put it, inside me? And what training, you mean like shinobi training? Isn't it a bit early to be training as a shinobi, I'm only eight!" In a rare moment of common sense, Naruto pointed out the flaw in Kyuubi's supposed 'Plan.'
"That...is an interesting story...my 'imprisonment' occurred the very same day you were born, and your father died. The story that was told to you about my 'fight' with your village and Yondaime Hokage...was only half-truth. While I was defeated, I was in no way killed. Your father simply sealed my soul, inadvertently destroying my physical body, into a new born baby...You. Now while I dislike losing, in all of its forms...I must commend your father in his actions, as dangerous as they were, and I have a begrudging respect for him for his sacrifice. The same way as I respect you for yours, even if it wasn't your choice. Which is why I decided that when you came to me whenever that was, I would train you in the shinobi arts." Kyuubi answered.
Naruto absorbed the story like a sponge, when it finally hit him...he finally understood why everyone called him a demon and wanted him dead.
"So, I'm a demon then..." He whispered to himself with a sad smile on his lips, though Kyuubi easily heard him. "...well at least I now know why everyone hates me. Anyways thanks for the explanation and the compliment Kyuubi-san" He said trying his hardest not to cry, but soon let the thought go and let his head fall and cry into the flowing pool at his feet.
"HA! HA! Trust me little one, you are the farthest thing from a demon, I should know. You must understand that the humans in your village aren't attacking YOU because they want to. It's because they cannot reach ME here. So they think that by hurting the container they are also hurting the prisoner… you are simply a means to an end. Of course if they weren't blind to their hate and sadness they would know that all they were doing is hurting an innocent child. Now, I'd like to change the subject back to training you...I would like to begin as soon as possible."
Naruto listened as his cries became less and less, until he completely stopped and just watched as Kyuubi expressed his understanding.
"How can I believe you? How do I know you aren't trying to trick me somehow? I mean you tried to destroy the village and killed my mother and father. So How can I possibly trust you or your words?" He asked, not knowing what to make of this situation...he silently wished his mother or father was with him to guide him.
Kyuubi's eyes widened slightly in surprise at the boy's influx of questions, before narrowing dangerously, and when Naruto saw his teeth glisten vicious he mentally wished he could take back his questions.
"Do NOT question my pride by accusing me of lying...especially to a mere human such as yourself boy! I may respect you...but I have killed mortals like yourself for far less than what you have just done..." He bellowed clearly not happy with Naruto, however after his pause his eyes seemed to soften if only a little bit.
"...but to answer your questions, what reason would I have to lie to you? To escape? If I could have escaped I would have within the first days of my imprisonment. To influence you mentally or physically? I can easily do that now, but I have no inclination to...you have suffered enough by the hands of your own community, I need not add to it. As I said before, I respect your sacrifices to hold me at bay, and respect is given rarely to a mortal by any bijuu. I have no proof to give you so that you may trust me, aside from my words. It is up to you whether you believe what I've said or not and wish for my assistance." He finished, his tone clearly softer than moments before.
Naruto stared at the large beast, trying to discern whether Kyuubi was lying to him or not. He didn't want to believe him because the fox was the one who actually told him some truths he had been wanting to know for several years. Also if what the fox said was true, that means he could have easily taken over his mind or body anytime he wanted, but only held back because of his simple respect for him. He let out a sigh, his thoughts swimming on what to do or believe. He wasn't sure whether to completely believe the beast...but so far he'd done nothing to harm him, nor trick him in any obvious way.
"I'll trust your word… for now" He concluded.
"I understand..." Naruto spoke again, letting a small smile graced his lips before bowing low, surprising Kyuubi once again. "thank you Kyuubi-sensei. I believe you and what you have told me is the truth. I will do as you instructed, And thanks again for allowing me the honor of learning from you. I will do my best to show your respect wasn't unfounded. And...if I may ask a few things though..." He questioned submissively, getting a slight nod from the beast.
"...you don't exactly seem to be the bloodthirsty demon everyone describes you as, so if I may ask...what possessed you to attack the village? The second question is just curiosity about what you will be teaching me?"
A low rumbling from the throat of Kyuubi slightly shook the room, as he let out a growl at Naruto's first question, before what could be considered an almost 'sad' expression dawned on his face.
"I have allowed you to know what I am...the first thing you just asked I do not feel you have any right to know at the present time. Perhaps when you show me as my student you are worthy, I will tell you. As for your second question...I will be teaching you many things, most of which all shinobi must learn: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu. However since you have horrid chakra control I doubt you'll be able to use Genjutsu. And with the help of your father's scrolls in his estate, you'll be training quite intensely at least. Since you're a child now you'll learn only the basics of Ninjutsu and chakra control. Aside from that, with the help of your mother's clan scrolls you'll learn the Uzumaki Kenjutsu style, as well as the Uzushio-Taijutsu style. When your training is complete I can guarantee that you'll be in the same league as your father once was." It explained, and by the end its maw stretched into a crooked but not evil smile.
Naruto's eyes went wide at everything the demon told him...ideas raced around in his mind a mile a minute, he never would have guessed that the thing that caused him so much pain could actually be such a blessing in disguise. Though after rethinking the last line the Kyuubi spoke, he couldn't help but grow a giant grin across his face at the implications.
"Oh Yea, I'll definitely become as great as the fourt- i mean my father was, Believe it!"
Kyuubi chuckled, at the boy's new enthusiasm. "Very well...first things first, you must get out of your mind so we can travel to your father's estate and claim what's rightfully yours. But do not worry...the moment you entered this place, a connection was made between us, so now we are able to speak to each other telepathically. One more thing Naruto..." It explained getting a nod from the boy, before its eyes took on a soft, yet sad look with his smile turning into a guilty frown. "...for what it's worth, about your parents… I'm sorry." he apologized, slightly bowing his head.
Kyuubi's apology made Naruto's eyes go wide...never before had any of the people of his own village apologized to him in any way, let alone their own actions against him. And yet here was the very beast that caused all this to occur...bowing and apologizing to him when it certainly had no real reason to do so.
"Y-yes...Kyuubi-sensei, and...thanks. But it's ok, I forgive you." He answered back bowing yet again.
Kyuubi looked at Naruto incredulously, he was going to respond back but Naruto beat him to it.
"I know the pain of being alone, and i couldn't hate anyone who had experienced such pain before." Naruto stated matter of factly. "I don't want to feel alone again, so if you'll let me, i'd liked to help you feel more comfortable here with me."
Kyuubi still had a shocked expression on his face, but it quickly vanished, replaced with a soft grin. "You never cease to Amaze me, Naruto… If you want to make Now if you truly want to make my life inside of this seal better, you could give me access to your senses, I'm tired of living closed off from the world, you could also change the size of this cage, it may seem big to you, though I can barely move in this place." Kyuubi stated.
"How would I do that?" Asked Naruto, his curiosity skyrocketed by the suddenly not so terrifying Kyuubi
"It's your mind kit. If I knew I would tell you, my best guess is that if you concentrate hard enough, you can move these things at your will."
Naruto closed his eyes and barely a second later, a pulse ripped through his mindscape, shredding everything in its path. Then a second pulse went through his mindscape, turning it into one giant cave with about a dozen doors on both sides and a small path in the back of the cave with a large blinking exit sign above it. Then, Kyuubi's cage expanded in all directions, forming a large grassy valley, surrounded on all sides by mountains and of course the large gate that made up the seal.
Kyuubi was shocked, not only was it beautiful, it was also brilliant. With mountains on all sides, it didn't truly feel like he was trapped any more, the grass felt great on his paws, there was a massive tree in the back that looked like it would be great for napping under, and finally, because of the drop-off, naruto and Kyuubi now stood eye to eye. That's when Kyuubi felt it. He could feel everything going on around naruto… well there wasn't much to feel, only the dust slowly piling onto the boy's small frame, with the boy's body laying on the hard wooden flooring.
"Wow. That was easier than I thought." stated Naruto
"You have proven yourself to me Kit. I'm going to give you a gift, but first, I must tell you of my origins."
"Huh?" Naruto audibly said, with a blank expression on his face.
"You've just done more for me than any human since the man that created me. You see, all Nine Bijuu are all originally from one being. An ever powerful beast that could destroy continents with its power. It was the Juubi. It had no emotions, no thoughts, it was just a giant mass of immeasurable energy. That is until it was sealed into a single man. On the man's death bed, he released the Juubi, separated its power from its body and used it to create the nine Bijuu. Each of us has power from the great beast. Mine is its ability to harness natural energy and convert it to my own, so I can never run out. My last container earned enough of my respect to use just under a tail of my power. You on the other hand have earned everything... I'm giving you full, unrestricted control of all of my powers. And my true name Kit, Is Kurama."
"What?" asked Naruto the unreadable expression still plastered on his face.
"I was going to wait until I'd trusted you enough to have full control of my chakra and techniques. But now that you've done more for me than almost anyone else. You earned my respect, when you made my life easier, even though you could have made it even worse. Plus it's pointless having basically unlimited Chakra go to waste." Kurama trailed off as he sat in the middle of the cage, pondering how a tiny boy would be able to perform his two best attacks.
Naruto, still in his stupor, just nodded his head before a question popped into his head. "What kind of techniques do you have?"
"Well other than pure chakra, each tailed beast has a power, or in my case, several. The first I already told you about, being able to gather natural energy, though it's only when I don't move. Secondly, as a mass of rage and hatred myself, I can sense Negative emotions, as well as any chakra producing beings, and in some cases, even what their intentions are based on their chakra flow. The third, is rapid regeneration, my chakra, contrary to what you may think, is a multiplier. Anything exposed to my chakra kicks into overdrive. Say you get a huge gash on your arm, send my chakra to it, and it will heal several times faster. You can also use it on muscles to increase your power and speed, and even on your eyes, brain and nervous system, so that you can react much faster." stated Kyuubi.
"That's so cool! Thanks Kurama!" yelled Naruto in glee.
"Although you will have to work for it. As you will have to separate my chakra from me, Not to mention the strain my chakra would put on your fragile body." stated Kurama.
Naruto wanted to yell at the fox for calling him fragile, but the more he thought about it the more sense it made.
As far as Naruto could remember he never truly had a nutritious meal, when he tried to buy food from market stores he'd either be kicked out or be given rotten or expired food.
Which is why he'd always get ramen from Ichiraku, since Teuchi and his daughter never kicked him out, instead they gave the boy free ramen. And that's where his love for ramen came from.
Details, details. Anyways back on track, instead Naruto just ignored the latter part and instead just questioned Kurama on the former.
"Why do I have to do that? Wouldn't that hurt you?" questioned Naruto.
"Because, my rage and malice are intertwined with my chakra. If you break that connection, you can use the full power of my chakra without losing control." stated Kurama.
"Though I doubt you will be able to use the full power off the bat. You're going to need a chakra control exercise to manipulate the flow of my chakra and regulate it, otherwise it will throw off everything and leave you extremely vulnerable, not to mention exercising your body so my chakra doesn't just rip and burn your body inside out."
"Ok, that makes sense, but how do I do it?" asked Naruto, cringing a bit from the latter statement
"Pull the seal off the gate, connect with my chakra and pull it out of me is what you should do, but for the time being we'll do that later and work on other things in the meantime.'' stated Kurama.
Naruto was about to question the Kyuubi but Kurama interjected.
"And No, the seal on the gate is the barrer seal that keeps me from attacking you. The full seal is probably hidden somewhere that neither of us are aware exists. If you don't believe me, look at the seal on the door. Does it look anything like the one on your gut?" questioned Kurama.
Naruto drew a blank as he looked at the seal on the cage. Kurama was right, where the one on his gut was a spiral, this one was a kanji for 'barrier'.
"You got a point there."
"Back to the topic at hand, once you leave your mind-scape the first thing we should do is to find your parent's estate and from there train you in the uzumaki arts and exercise that body of yours to handle my chakra."
Naruto was about to agree with Kurama for a moment before being cut off by a voice.
"That won't be necessary Kurama, well at least the exercise part." the voice spoke.
Naruto, caught off guard by the new intruder whipped his head around to find a tall and pale-skinned man, who had deep wrinkles and a strong jawline in his elderly age. He had spiky, shoulder-length, pale brown hair, with a chin-length, braided lock hanging in front of his left ear. He also sported a goatee, which stopped near his lower torso.
Naruto was about to question the figure but was cut off by Kurama.
"Old-Man Six-Paths…"
Naruto now whipped his head back to stare at the fox, seeing a shocked expression on his face.
"You have a dad?"
"Of course I have a dad. how do you think I was born?" Kurama questioned the boy, sending a small amount of killing intent towards the boy, causing the said boy to back down.
"No need to be so harsh on the boy Kurama, after all he is the supposed child of prophecy." The voice nonchalantly responded.
Kurama stared at the voice incredulously. "You know, if you came here a bit earlier and told me this bit of info I would have doubted your claim immediately, but now that I've met him face to face I could actually believe such a claim."
The figure chuckled in amusement before speaking. "It seems the toad's predictions were true after all."
Naruto was just looking between the two as they spoke with a look of confusion on his face, so he interjected. "Wait a second here! Toads, prophecies? What are you talking about? But never mind that the real question here is. Who. Are. You?!"
The figure just looked at Naruto before a small smile appeared on his face. "Straight to the point huh? Well… I am known as Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, or more notably known by your people as The Sage Of Six Paths." Hagoromo stated.
"Sage… of Six Paths?"
"Yes, he was the one to create and teach people the art of Ninshu, an early stage of what is now known as ninjutsu." Kurama informed the dumb blonde.
"REALLY??? THAT'S SOOO COOL!!" Naruto said, clear amazement in his eyes.
Kurama and Hagoromo chuckled at the boy's antics,he was really a pure and energetic boy.
"You must be here for something important, perhaps the boy? I know you won't go through all this trouble just to see me for a small period of time." Kurama said, getting straight to the point.
"Observant as ever Kurama." Hagoromo said before turning to the boy and speaking. "Naruto, I'm actually here to bestow you with a Gift."
Naruto blankly stared at Hagoromo before responding. "A…Gift?"
"Indeed, Many years ago there existed a prophecy, one in which a boy with blue eyes had the potential to bring about massive changes to the world. I believe that boy is you."
Naruto, again stared at the figure blankly, he seemed to be doing a lot of that lately.
"Why me exactly…?" He questioned.
"You were the only person in the last 100 years to be on good terms with Kurama here when first meeting each other."
So I'm the supposed child of prophecy because I was able to be on good terms with 'Giant rabbit pretending to be a fox here'?"
"HEY I AM NOT A RABBIT, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?"
"My favorite Fuzzball?" Hagoromo and Naruto stated.
"You're damn fucking right, I am," Kurama stated in pride.
Naruto turned back to face Hagoromo, "So what exactly is this 'gift' you're going to give me exactly?" He questioned, although he was a bit giddy at the thought of being given something from the sage of six paths of all people.
"The Yang Half of my six paths power."
Now Naruto allowed his giddiness to finally surface. "REALLY, I'M GOING TO GET A PART OF YOUR POWER? SO I GET TO…Um…"
Naruto looked up at Hagoromo with a sheepish grin on his face. "Um.. What exactly does your power do?"
Hagoromo just chuckled before speaking once again, "it allows its wielder the power to heal as well as increase physical attributes and a masterful grasp of chakra and their natures."
"What are Chakra natures?"
"This might take a while…"
"Agreed."
-5 Minutes Later because this chapter is already long enough and the Author is sleep deprived-
"So chakra natures are like the basic five elements like wind, fire, water, earth and lightning?" Naruto said, still trying to figure out a few things.
"We'll talk about it more when we start your training." Kurama deadpanned.
"Ok." Naruto turned back to face hagoromo once again.
"Why are you giving me this power now of all times?"
"I sense the reemergence of my Mother Kaguya Otsutsuki."
"Explain."
"Alongside my brother Hamura was born to my mother Kaguya otsutsuki, she was a princess who ate the forbidden chakra Fruit of the God Tree that appeared once a millennium in an effort to gain divine abilities, which she used to put an end to the constant wars during that era. As a result, my brother and I were born with the ability to manipulate the same type of powerful chakra as our mother. Angered by the fact that her chakra had been spread to others, My mother merged with the God Tree into the Ten-Tails, which attempted to reclaim her chakra.
The Ten-Tails rampaged throughout the lands until my brother and I managed to defeat the beast, with me becoming its jinchūriki, causing myself to be revered as a god for the virtue of my victory. Researching my mother's technique, I was able to free the world from her Infinite Tsukuyomi. Going by the Sage of Six Paths after entering priesthood, I traveled across the land giving chakra to everyone in the world, spreading my ideals and religion of Ninshū in the process. My deeds and desire to bring peace to the war-torn world made me widely known as the Saviour of this World.
At some point in my life I suffered an unknown illness that was damaging my chakra pathway system from my time as a jinchūriki. After years of suffering and searching for a cure, I found my way to the Land of Redaku where I met Janmāru-Tataru. One night, a meteor passed overhead, which I caught and cut in two and one of the halves immediately dissolved into dust, which were dubbed "polar particles". The dust enveloped me and healed my body. I separated and hid the remaining particles into two groups.
My ultimate wish was to establish peace across the world, but it was a goal that would never be achieved in a single lifetime. Knowing this, I chose to entrust my dream and legacy to my two sons, and began to teach them ninshū. I acknowledged my older son, Indra, as a true prodigy, who quickly began to revel in his natural prowess and became very solitary. My younger son, Asura, proved to be the exact opposite, having shown no special abilities or natural talent, but he pushed on through his limitations, growing stronger and more mature because of his struggles and making friends with others along the way. I acknowledged Asura's chosen path, agreeing that love and cooperation were the true keys to peace.
Inspired by my younger son, I separated the Ten-Tails' chakra within my body and used my Creation of All Things Technique to divide it into nine separated bodies, creating the tailed beasts and giving each a name. As a result of extracting them all at once, I was left weakened and incapacitated for several months, though the powerful life force of the Ten-Tails' husk kept me alive. Sometime after their creation, the young tailed beasts were told that they were all still linked to one another despite being separate entities. I also told them that they would eventually become one again, yet not as they originally were, and that one shall appear at that time to show them what true power is.
Before my death, followers and I built temples in nine different regions of the world where the tailed beasts could live and be protected. I eventually sealed the husk of the Ten-Tails within the moon. On my deathbed, I chose Asura to be my successor and entrusted him with my power, but Indra, overcome by bitterness and envy, fought against his brother, beginning a war between them that would continue through their descendants.
I suspected that Indra or one of his reincarnations would eventually attempt to take Asura's power for themselves. I left behind a tablet detailing my history in an attempt to make them reconsider. Only those who possess the Rinnegan can fully decipher the contents of the tablet, while a reader with other dōjutsu such as the Sharingan can still partially interpret the information."
"That's a lot to take in all at once…" Naruto said, absorbing all the information like a sponge as best as he could. "Why are you telling me your life story again?"
"because i have no one else to talk to, but the main reason is for context."
"Huh?"
"You see, I sense My mother planning her escape very soon, with the help of a manifestation of her will. And if not stopped, it could dispel the end of the world as we know it. Which is why I entrust you and Kurama here with the yang half of my power to stop my mother." hagoromo explained.
Naruto was at a loss for words, he never thought that someone as powerful as Hagoromo would entrust anything to an outcast kid like himself, much less the fate of the world.
"Don't worry super gramps sage, I'll do whatever it takes to stop Kaguya from ending the world no matter what, believe it!" Naruto grinned pointing a thumbs up at the sage. Which caused a similar yet smaller smile to appear on the said sage.
"Then I believe that this is finally settled." Hagoromo said, holding out his right hand for naruto. "Now all you have to do is to put your hand onto mine."
Naruto did as he was told and held out his hand, placing it onto the sage's.
Within moments a sudden power erupted from Naruto, sending bolts of electricity around the boy's body.
When the dust settled Naruto didn't feel much different, in fact he never felt better in his life than in that moment. He raised his right hand to observe his palm and saw a symbol of a sun on his palm.
Naruto couldn't help but grin and cheer in happiness. "Alright! This feels amazing, I feel stronger already!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Young Naruto, while I like your enthusiasm there are still a few things I need to say before I take my leave." stated the sage.
"Huh? Like what?"
"If my mother ever succeeded in putting everyone under her Genjutsu there is a way to undo the Jutsu, if two people who wield the yang and yin half respectively they must form the rat hand seal together in order to release the Genjutsu." hagoromo explained.
"Well, you won't have to worry about that. I'll definitely stop Kaguya before she has a chance to launch her Jutsu." Naruto exclaimed once again.
"Secondly you'll actually have the yin half of my chakra dormant inside you."
This revelation caused both Kyubbi and Naruto
to go wide-eyed simultaneously.
"Wait You said you'd only give Me/Naruto the yang half of your chakra?!!" Naruto and Kyuubi simultaneously yelled out.
"Yes, while you'll be able to use the yang half, the yin half will stay dormant inside you until my power and you deems Indra's reincarnation worthy enough to wield it.
"That makes sense but how will I be able to tell who Indra's reincarnation is?" Naruto asked, as he already knew about the sibling rivalry between Indra and Asura and was already trying to find a way to prevent it.
"You'll know when you see him." the Sage stated as he began to fade into non-existence notifying the three that Hagoromo's time was almost up.
"It seems like my time is at an end," Hagoromo said, "Remember Naruto, I entrust everything to you."
"Like I said, don't worry about it, with your power I'll definitely do everything in my power to stop it!" Naruto said triumphantly.
"Very well Naruto," Hagoromo stared at Naruto with a small smile on his face, but before he disappeared he told Naruto one last thing.
"One last thing, Naruto, before I go I must tell you something which is Very Important."
"Yea, what is it?" Naruto responded back.
"There is a difference between my mother's manifestation of her will. And her reincarnation." and with that Hagoromo disappeared in the void of non-existence.
Naruto for the thousandth time that day stared blankly at the place the sage previously stood.
"What did he mean by that Kurama?" The boy questioned the fox.
"He meant that there are two beings in the world that are closely related to Kaguya in a way, one is the physical manifestation of her will while the other one is a reincarnation possessing Kaguya's chakra." The fox explained,
"Now leave, I'm sleepy, all that talk with old-man six-paths drained me mentally." Kurama said laying down.
"But you didn't even do most of the talking!" Naruto yelled at the fox, "What about obtaining your chakra as my own?" Naruto asked, causing the fox to grumble.
"We'll work on that tomorrow night, we have time." Kurama said, yawning.
Naruto grumbled, muttering something akin to "stupid fox" before realizing something crucial.
'Um… how exactly do I leave?" Naruto asked.
"This is your mind kit, just think about leaving and you should be in the outside world." Kurama said as he finally drifted off to sleep.
"Got it, thanks Kurama." Naruto began to do as he was instructed and in a flash he was gone.
Naruto woke up feeling refreshed, he slowly got up and felt like he could do 200 laps around all of Konoha. Whatever was in super gramps sage's diet had definitely affected the young blonde.
He looked at his right palm once again as he saw the sun symbol on it indicating that everything that had just happened wasn't just a dream. Naruto's smile turned into an energetic one as he held his fist high and proclaimed.
"I am Naruto Namikaze Uzumaki of
Konohagakure, Son of the Yondaime Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki. I'll Save the world from the likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki, and achieve world peace."
"And I too, Will become Hokage."
"BELIEVE IT!"
