Moon, a majestic rock that floating above the sky. Tonight is in the full moon phase. It looks so beautiful and so bright. Dazzling every eyes that sees it and hook whom eyes that take a look at it. Here at the villa balcony, sits two noblewoman in a sofa, a princess and a queen of Palettia kingdom. They are Anis and Euphie, both enjoy the sight of the full moon tonight. Night is cold and winds blows gently. But thanks to the fire spirit stone on the robes they wear, the cold night and the wind doesn't bother them. "It is beautiful isn't it? Euphie." Said the princess. The younger girl nods in agreement, "It is, Anis-sama."
Time passed by small-warm-talk between the girls. The princess ask her if the younger girl had gotten used to Arc-en-Ciel. They made lot of spirit stones adjustment to it. The younger smiles as she praises the rapier. "It is the greatest one I've been used, nothing comes close to it. The idea of using multiple spirit stones and arrange them in certain way so their conductivity is compatible with my magic is genius invention that only you, Anis-sama, can come up with. I feel no restriction when swipe from one spirits to another, the output also very efficient, it is so flawless. Thank you for entrusting such a masterpiece to me."
Anis glad that the girl, whom she acknowledge more than anyone else, praise her work. She always envy the younger one because her magic is so beautiful. But now, she is using and loving her masterpiece. "That is really top tier review from the genius magician in this kingdom history. Well, glad that you really like Arc-en-Ciel. It is also thanks to your help that I could get some theory to work since it is hard for me, because I am not experiencing magic the first hand. It will be impossible to improve it to the way it is right now."
Indeed, Euphie did a lot of magic demonstration so the princess could learn how it actually work. Testing from one spirit stone to another. Testing combination and restriction between it. Until finally it arrange to the way the inventor wants. "You're welcome. It is good to hear that I can be any help to you, Anis-sama. It is also impossible for me alone. Suppose if I never meet you in the first place, there is no way I can do all of that." The girls smiles each other. They recall how many up and down to improve Arc-en-Ciel. One to another explosion, paint their face in black. They also had Illya and Laine to scold them (mainly Anis) because they often blow thing here and there. But in the end, it is worth the pain.
The younger girl had been an assistance for a long time. Helping the princess about her creation and invention. She finally understand why the princess had so much affection towards it. "Anis-sama, I think now I understand how great magicology is. I truly believe this will bring prosperity to Palettia kingdom and all the people with its infinite potential." Euphie shares Anis's dream, it is to be a magician who use their magic to make other smile. She also wants magic to be used by commoner as well, not exclusively for nobles.
Younger girl stares to the princess and makes a smile. "If magicology is form of your magic, I want to see how far it will go, how high it will reach, how wide it will spread. I want to see your magic to change the world we live in. I want to see your magic soar through the highest height and the furthest place."
Despite the cold night, Anis face feels like it burn hot. Her cheeks is red, blushing. Suddenly she felt emotional. Anis feels like she wants to cry. She never heard such a beautiful world about her magicology. All this time, what she heard is her magic is disbelief towards spirits, it is illegal to even exist in the first place, many nobles branded it as heretic and lunatic, people keep talk in her back, saying she is a problematic princess, they tried to restrain her research in any possible way. Despite that, the princess usually toss them off. Though it still leave a scar to her heart.
She takes a deep breath. Tried to calm her soul. "I am so grateful. Thank you for loving my magic. You have no idea how it meant to me after all those time I spent hearing those hurting words from conservative nobles." She recalls as many memory of the nobles did thing terrible to her. It shakes her shoulder as tears suddenly pilling on her eyes corner.
Upon seeing the princess almost cry, Euphie gets the princess hand and holding it, "I'll make sure none of those word reach you anymore. I'll be your guardian so no one will hurt you and mock your dream. I'll crush any wall that those nobles create just to block your way. That is my promise to you, Anis-sama." Said Euphie. Gradually, she is able to press ministry of magic influence towards Anis magical research. It is not a bad thing since they only do harm and hurtful things towards it. Euphie herself understand how much pain Anis had to bear after confronting them face to face. Their hurtful word and baseless reasoning is something enough to makes her boil.
Not seeing any better reaction to the princess, Euphie grab Anis's shoulder and make her leans towards her. "Really, you always think other before yourself aren't you? Always put up a strong act despite all the bad things they did to you, but you actually hurt inside your heart. Anis-sama, that is why I want to protect you, I want to be you shield, I want to be someone whom you can share your burden and thought, I want to be someone whom you can rely when something doesn't went well. I used to feel jealous to Tilty because both of you seems so worked up when talking about craziness in you journey. That is why, I worked hard on my first presentation, just so I could be useful assistance for you. To prove I am not half-hearted to be your assistant. You love magic more than anyone else right? I will do my best on supporting you. I will be here to protect you and your dream."
Euphie then stroke the princess hair gently. But princess get up from lean and wipes her tears. "What is that? Doesn't that makes me looks like a weak princess, Euphie?" She said it as she giggles.
With a gentle smile, Euphie shook her head, "That is not true. Getting protected doesn't mean you are weak. If anything, I think Anis-sama is the strongest person I've ever met. But seeing the strong person hold everything alone is heartbreaking to watch. I cannot bear to see you forced to given up your dream, everything you had worked on, everything that you loved, everything which important to you, all those blood, tears, time, and sweat. There is no way I am not do anything if all of those going to be wasted and not be acknowledged. Seeing you holds so much burden alone in your shoulders, I cannot let that happen."
The princess smiles gently. She is very happy to be blessed with a caring partner. "You sure are very scary once you commit onto something aren't you, Euphie? I mean, to take contract to be immortal after you heard the truth of it. It took a lot of bravery to do that." Anis exhales.
Euphie giggles. "I am not as scary as you though, Anis-sama. Look, that rich comes from someone who literally fought a dragon and nearly died because she was so reckless. Also, I am nothing compared to you who split dragon breath just to protect your people behind. Beside I certainly never be able to do what I am capable now if it is not because of you, Anis-sama."
"You are a mage that I acknowledge the most, Euphie. But you certainly gives me too much credit for what I did. I am not that much powerful as you think though. I ran from my responsibility as legal successor of being queen, and throw it to my younger brother. If I know his burden long time ago, certainly all of this shouldn't be happen."
Euphie leans to Anis, "Anis-sama, do you know that I always think what will happen if you didn't take my hand at that night. I'll probably never able to live like this now. My life will full of sorrow and sadness. My life was practically ended that night. But, you are the one who pull me from that despair. You take my hand and give me second chance. No, Anis-sama, you deserve more than what you have. It is not your fault that you tried to run away, it is this outdated politic fault. That is why, I want you to believe in me." Euphie reaches Anis's cheek with her hand. Then gives the princess a small kiss on her lips.
Anis doesn't have any comeback. She eventually lost at word. Euphie had answer all her doubt away. Gives her emotional support more than anyone can do. After that kiss, Anis just pouting. "If you can casually kiss me now, why don't you drop that honor when you call me." Anis faces the other way as she blushes.
Euphie giggles. "I am sorry, Anis. Habit die hard."
"Get used to it already."
That conversation ended with laugh between them. Both of them starts to tease each other until Illya calls both of them that their food is ready.

Hello reader, thank you for spending your time here. Second fanfic on Tenten Kakumei from me. This time I am focusing on their banter after 12th episode. I really like this couple because they are become source of power for each other. I kinda proud to make this fanfic, hope you also like it.
