An adventurous spin on Kingdom Hearts, a different story but with familiar characters, as a new character takes Sora's place. In this story, we join the intuitive little cartoon known as Shiro, as she finds herself sailing the Seas of Starts in search of her friends, Riku & Kairi. Joining her are the Looniest Toons of the Steampunk City - Acme Acres. All of which are on their own quest to find their King, Bugs Bunny.

An adventurous AU where Disney properties are instead replaced by Warner Brother properties, and more & more video game characters'll be taking a small cameo alongside the Square Enix cast. Another story where you'll never know just what characters to expect.

"I've been having these weird thoughts lately..."

"Like...if any of these for real...or not..."

Our story begins in a pitch-black abyss. Not a single soul in line of sight. Not a single cloud, or a single sun. Instead, our story begins in the bleak cold stones of darkness…surrounding a single figure.

A little cartoon rabbit with bright tan fur covering her body, and pristine-white fur around her face. The rabbit adorned herself in a pitch-black blouse, a green skirt with bloomers underneath, pristine-white gloves, and matching white heel pumps. Atop her head is her matching green skull bow.

Groggily the tan-furred rabbit opens her eyes to find herself facing nothing more than a stone ceiling distances away from her.

"Huh. This ain't the bleak scenery I remember." The rabbit simply says. She arose to find herself…in a large chamber…in which the only means of escaping…is a door blocked by steel bars.

A prison.

The rabbit soon approached the steel bars only to see a large corridor with even more cells. All of which are empty. She seems to be the only one here. And yet…she isn't phased by it, let alone frightened.

"Huh. Guess I socked someone in the jaw and ended up in here without knowin'." The rabbit simply says. She inspected the bars...knowing full well that she could easily escape them due to her…special abilities as a Toon.

But before she could…she hears something. A voice.

So much to do, so little time.

The rabbit's ears perked up. A disembodied voice calls to her.

Take your time...don't be afraid...and don't stop moving.

"Who're you?" The toon asked in a soft voice. The voice ignored her.

The door is still shut. A great destiny awaits you. Are you prepared?

The rabbit simply tilts her head, obliviously.

"Well…I WAS going to get outta here myself, but…maybe sit here for a while." The rabbit simply says as she leaned against the bars.

At that moment, the ground began to shake, making the little toon tumble to the ground.

"Alright, alright, geez. Sorry for the backtalk." The rabbit says in annoyance. Before the rabbit knew it, with a billow of dark flames, three treasure chests appeared before her. Each open with a weapon within.

Power rests within you. If you give it form, it will give you strength. Choose wisely…Shiro.

A sword. Its blade shines a glistening silver hue, while the hilt and glows a majestic golden glow. In the center…is a shimmering plaque-shaped jewel with the initials WB.

A staff radiating in magical energy…with a shimmering gold handle, and the same gold and red plaque on the sword emblem with the initials WB.

At last, a shield. The rim of the shield shimmers in sparkling gold, while there seems to be a red interior, guarded by the big gold initials of WB same as the rest.

The Power of the Warrior...invincible courage...a sword of terrible destruction...
The Power of the Mystic...inner strength...a staff of wonder and ruin...
The Power of the Guardian...kindness to aid friends...a shield to repel all...

"Golly…choices, choices, choices…" Shiro says sweetly…as her smile deteriorates into a sharp-toothed grin….and she gives out a giggle.

The choice was already immediate for her. Shiro has always adored the idea of using Magic. Throughout the Kismet Winds, the toon prides herself in making colorful gadgets & toys for better or worse for the village.

The toon can only salivate on just what she could do with her gadgets with Magic added into this chaotic concoction.

Her time has come. Shiro gripped the staff. Immediately, she can feel such a…surge of magical energy pulse through her leather gloves.

The Power of the Mystic. Is this the path you seek?

"WELL, If my path involves settin' shit on fire with my MIND instead of my Gags, then BRING IT ON!" Shiro says determinedly.

And I expect nothing less from you….Shiro.

The rabbit could only tilt her head in confusion. Just what is this fella's deal?

Now then…what power do you wish to give up?

Shiro soon looked to the other treasure chests noticing how the two weapons aren't disappearing. Her eyes enlarged and she gives a whimper like a dog.

"Awww…do I HAVE to choose? Would you make an exception for me and lemme have all the powers? Pwetty pweeeeeeeeeease?" Shiro coos.

Charming, but I'm afraid you can't have something for nothing. To claim a power…you must give up one as well. Now, choose.

"Hmph. You're no fun." Shiro huffs as she soon looks to her other choices. The Blade of terrible destruction, and the Shield that repels all.

This was a rather difficult decision for the rabbit. She prefers to use her brains rather than her brawns. But the question is…will her wits alone protect her and her friends?

"'COURSE IT CAN!" Shiro says, dismissively at me. "Never underestimate a silly lil' rabbit with mind as sharp as her tongue. In fact…" The rabbit says as she approaches the shield.

"I wanna get rid of this!" Shiro says to the voice.

Are you sure? Once you make this choice, there will be no turning back. Is this truly the power you wish to give up?

"I've been through the whole 'point of no return' shtick before, so I see no reason why that'll scare me. I'm gonna show the world just who they're messin' with!" Shiro says twirling her staff, determinedly.

Very well then. Proceed, Shiro.

And with that, all three treasure chests disappeared. And the sword…it also disappears from her gloved hands.

"Of course, if the big ol' stick ain't enough. You could say I've got a lotta…explosive alternatives in here~" Shiro says as she takes from her dress pockets A black bag with the same green smile on her sweater.

"A Gag Bag, my friend. It has just about everything except the kitchen sink." Shiro explains, to which she then turns to the audience. "See, the sink needed plumbing." She says to the audience.

Soon, taking the rabbit by surprise, the cell door opened. The rabbit was free.

"Oh, NOW we're cookin' hehe." Shiro says mischievously as she grabbed her Gag Bag and raced out of her jail cell and raced through the empty corridors. Indeed, not a single prisoner inhabited the other jail cells. She was truly alone.

Or so she thought.

She soon approached an wide-open chamber with a door leading to the next section of the dungeon. And soon just left of her is a wide-open view of the entire prison. Thousands upon thousands of cells and cages lined up…but yet empty.

However, her thoughts were halted when she had…company. Creatures arose from the ground in front of her…teeming like flies. Their hides as black as darkness itself, and their eyes a yellow glow bright enough to shine a light to any tunnel.

There are times where you must fight. The light will not always be there to protect you, Shiro

The rabbit only looked to her staff and the hoard of Shadows before her.

"Now, I'm all for pickin' fights, but…it doesn't look like blunt force trauma's gonna get these bug things outta my hair." Shiro says as she scratches her lush, tan fur…only to find a toon flea nipping at her gloves.

"See what I mean?" Shiro asks the audience as she flicks the flea away.

You felt the Magic brimming within the staff before, yes? Now, I feel it is time you learn to unleash it.

"So, what am I startin' with?" Shiro asks as the Shadows crept forward.

Start with the basic of elements, Fire. Concentrate. Let all emotions form into passion. Picture a small flame and call the mana within you to make that flame form into a billowing flame.

"Sounds like a buncha gibberish, but hey, whatever keeps me alive." Shiro quips as she sighs…and concentrates.

She closed her eyes, her thoughts at halt, and she focuses. Deep, deep within her, hoping something would stir. All meanwhile, the Shadows themselves finally stirred and charged at the rabbit.

Soon enough, the rabbit felt something singeing her very fur. She opened her eyes to see her a single flame crawling around her staff.

As the shadows pounced, the rabbit casts her spell.

"FIRE!" Shiro calls out as she projects 3 balls of fire at three of the Shadows. She defeated three of them…but there are only 6 of them left.

"Hmm…still don't think it'll be enough. 6 of 'em, and the best I could do is chuck a single flame ball?" Shiro says to herself. She soon had an idea.

"Let's try a BIGGER ball, hehehe~" Shiro says determinedly as she took from her tiny Gag Bag a LITERAL cannon with pied eyes and wheels.

"Fellas, I'd like ya to meet Ol' Smokey. Ol' Smokey…dinnertime~" Shrio says to the cannon as she points him to the Shadows. The cannon licked his lips and like a vacuum sucked up all the air throughout the Prison.

The vacuum was powerful enough to send all 6 Shadows flying towards the cannon, and entrapped them all into his nozzle. The cannon licks his lips again.

"Hehehe, NOW to make my grand exit~" Shiro says as she summons fire once more to light the fuse. She then rushes forward and points Ol' Smokey to the door.

"BLOW 'EM OUTTA HERE, SMOKEY!" Shiro exclaims the same time the fuse completely shrank.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A cannonball was blast, and the few Shadows who didn't get incinerated from the explosion were now riding on the cannonball with a maddened cartoon look on its face.

"HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The cannonball cackles maddingly as…

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

It blew both the door AND the Shadows away just as Shiro intended.

Your creativity clearly knows no bounds

"What can I say? Ya gotta think brains instead of brawns. Now then, shall we?" Shiro asks as she placed Ol' Smokey back into her Gag Bag and raced through the newfound pathway.

The door took her, once again through another corridor of jail cells…and soon to another open chamber filled with barrels of swords, shields, guns, and so on.

It seems the tan-furred rabbit has found the Armory.

"An Armory just outside of a cell block? Yeesh, that's just askin' for a Prison Raid to go smoothly." Shiro says as she walked through the Armory. She looks to her left to see steel gates barring the next path.

You've no need for arms…for you've an endless arsenal within the very confines of your Bag.

"Who said I don't need arms? I dunno about you, but they come in handy." Shiro quips as she so easily dislodged her arms and wiggled her gloved fingers before placing her arm back into her sockets.

I for one believe that there is something more that you might find…'handy'

Before Shiro could take a shot at the dark, two vials appeared on the table in front of her. Both with strange bubbling liquids within; one is green while the other is blue. The little rabbit merely approaches the vials. She could only look at the green potion in such…an uncomfortable manner.

"Eheheh…I think I've seen enough bubbling green liquids to know that this'll probably be the one thing that'll kill me." Shiro says, nervously.

These are provisions that you will find throughout your journey. The green one will replenish your health.

The toon simply placed it in her Gag Bag.

"Eh, I'll save it. I ain't hurt or anythin'" Shiro muses as she grabbed the blue potion. "Aaaand what's this do?"

Ether. A potion used to revitalize your Mana.

"Mana?" Shiro asks.

Magical Energy. It stirs deep within you, within me, within all of us. It is how we all can use Magic. Casting powerful spells be it beautiful…or frightening. The most legendary and frightening Wizards and heroes of old hone their Mana to form more powerful spells.

"I wanna bet that ya got something in stored for me. So, to that I say…drink up!" Shiro cheers as she drinks the Ether in one gulp.

"Whohohoho…" Immediately, the rabbit felt a surge of magical energy flow right back through her. As if she was…revitalized. "That's some good stuff! Feels like I can cast a shit ton of spells now!"

Glad to hear it, because there's a certain…spell that I wish for you to cast, but only when the time is right.

"Will I KNOW when the time's right?" Shiro asks the voice.

You will know. For now…proceed.

Soon the sound of heavy steel moving was heard. Shiro looked to see the gates opening revealing a new pathway. Another cell block corridor.

However, this one appears to have long stairways. Shiro could only assume that those stairways lead to the upper halls. Her ticket out of this prison is in reach.

The tan-furred rabbit continues to scurry to the next chamber, sure that she's going to finally escape this bleak rabbit hole.

When…ho.

"Hold on a sec…" Shiro says as she looked to the cells. Three of them were finally inhabited…but by three figures that she knows oh too well.

A young sandy-haired boy with clean green eyes. He was wearing a shirtless bright yellow vest, and jet-black overall jeans, with one uneven hole, black leather gloves, and a bronze gauntlet, and yellow and black work boots. The boy seems to be carrying a sword with the blade as clear as glass, radiating with such magic. Tidus.

A red-haired boy wearing a bandana. A boy who is no doubt older than Tidus. The 15-year-old was wearing a yellow strapless vest with matching yellow baggy pants with x shaped insignia on the knees. He also had a shoulder pad and gauntlet the same as Tidus followed by green sandals. His weapon was a mere Blitzball. Wakka

And a brown-haired girl with glimmering green eyes, the same age as Tidus. The little girl was wearing a bright yellow dress and brown boots; her weapon of choice being nunchucks. Selphie.

All of them are Shiro's friends and crewmates for the coming venture.

The door won't open just yet. Free the prisoners, for they do wish to learn more about you.

"HA! Seems like an easy thing to me. I think you'll find that I'm the key component to our lil' conundrum." Shiro quips as she literally shapes her gloved hand into a key. The perks of having elastic limbs.

With her hand key, she unlocks the cell nearest to her: Selphie's cell. The brown-haired girl only had one question for the rabbit:

"What's most important to you?" Selphie asks the creature.

"Bein' number one." The creature simply said, smugly. There was not even a second thought to her answer. Selphie looked at the rabbit almost credulously.

"Is being number one really THAT big of a deal?" Selphie simply said. Shiro was about to say something, but before she could, Selphie simply disappeared.

"Cold, comin' from her." Shiro says casually. The next person Shiro freed was Wakka.

"What do you want outta life?" The red-haired boy asked the toon. The rabbit toon simply gave a toothy grin.

"I wanna see rare sights!" She asserts, excitedly. No doubt the great beyond was an exciting idea.

"Don't lose sight of it, man." Wakka simply said before disappearing. At last, she approaches the remaining boy.

"What're you so afraid of?" Tidus asks. This is a question that hits a bit too close to home. She gave an answer. Truly an honest answer.

"Bein' different." She simply says, earning a confident smirk from Tidus.

"What? Is being different really that scary?" The boy asks before disappearing, leaving the toon alone. Shiro simply sighs.

"Eeeeyeah…not like you'd know." She mutters. The last human disappears in front of the little rabbit.

You wish to see rare sights
You are afraid of being different
Being number one is the most important to you.

"Yeah, you heard me right." Shiro says as she leans on an unopened cell door.

The journey before you will be both far…and very near. It is time to truly prove that you are prepared for what comes ahead. Are you ready?

"Whatever the hell's awaitin' me out there, I'll take 'em all on." Shiro says determinedly as she twirls her staff.

Then proceed

With a determined huff, Shiro raced through the corridors and up the stairway. The final battle…is at hand.

There. She can see it. The very moment she met with the top of the staircase, she finds herself in another large hall. This time…in front of her was a gate leading out of the prison.

She was at the home stretch. She raced through the halls, but the very moment she reached the gate…some familiar friends decided to surround her.

More shadows than before, and it seems that a mere cannon fire won't be enough to defeat them all, this time.

Shiro took the time to count the Shadows surrounding her. A total of 14 of them circling the rabbit.

"Hmmmm….yeah, doesn't seem like Ol' Smokey can suck 'em all up. Got any ideas?" Shiro asks the voice.

Don't waste your Mana casting fire upon fire. Perhaps a different element is needed. Cast a spell that derives of such…thunderous emotion.

"Thunderous, huh? I think I know what you're lookin' for~" Shiro says as she took from her Gag Bag a wool carpet.

"Hope ya don't mind if I…juice up the spell~" The rabbit says as she soon concentrates all her power while rubbing her feet along the carpet. Her fur was beginning to grow puffier and puffier as electricity swims around both her fur and the staff.

Matters become worse for the Shadows. Like magnets, Shiro is pulling them all closer to her. Some tried to comically flee out of the magnetic attraction but couldn't. Soon, Shiro's staff crackled with such a powerful current of electricity swirling around it.

With a malicious smirk, the rabbit does one final spin across the wool carpet…and casts EVERYTHING she built up.

"THUNDAGA!" Shiro screams out as powerful bolts of electricity blasts around her, incinerating all 14 Shadows around her in a powerful attack.

Most impressive.

"Heh, I try." Shiro says cockily. The toon soon raced to the finish like. The gates were shut…but she simply squeezed and slithered out like a snake, reverting to her normal form.

She looks up high into the sky…at the piercing bright sunlight before her. And in front of her…a massive and extensive bridge. Leading to distances unknown. And around her, an endless cliff with not even a single shred of ground.

She was free…and yet…she didn't feel free. Not yet. She only got running.

Toons…always an enigma to those of the human world. Caricatures drawn to life…capable of winning any battle with wit alone. Capable of taking from their pockets anything…and everything that many would find…inconceivable.

Unbeknownst to the rabbit, she only continued to run…but her own shadow stopped dead on its tracks…and it soon arose from the ground.

The ability to stretch your body as if you are made of rubber…

Her own shadow begins to grow and grow into sizes that tower perhaps even the fortress itself.

The ability to win any battle with wits alone…and the ability to bend reality itself. The question is…will it all be enough to take on your final challenge?

This was enough to make the rabbit skid to a halt. "Final challenge?" She asks…until her ears finally picked up something towering behind her.

Your destiny lies in which you teeter on the edge of darkness. But remember that even the darkness can comfort you, Shiro. So long as you conquer it, it will serve as a powerful asset. But know this…

"Know wh-HOLY!" Shiro exclaims. The rabbit was so shocked that her eyes literally bulged from her sockets.

Peering back at the toon's crimson eyes are the golden eyes of a behemoth…twice the size of her.

A cold and shadowy being with tentacle-like dreadlocks, claws as sharp as thorns, paper-like feet, and a gaping heart-shaped hole where its chest would lie.

Soon, the voice says these words…in such a chilling tone.

The Darkness holds no quarter for the weak.

The rabbit could only back away from the titan that stans before her.

"Ehehehehh…uhhhh, voice? I don't suppose you can use your…almighty voice powers to call this thing off, huh?" Shiro asks nervously

Don't be afraid

"A-Afraid! I-I'm just askin' for a bit of a breather here, is all." Shiro lies. "SHUT UP!"

Soon, the rabbit's eyes dilated into dinnerplates, realizing that the behemoth made the first move. The creature was clenching its fist, prepared to hurl it as if it's a meteor.

"Ah, crap…" Shiro says meekly. Soon the rabbit gave out a yelp when the creature sends its fist down, indeed like a meteor. Luckily, a rabbit is always quick on their feet. And quick Shiro was with dodging.

"Guess…I don't really have much of a choice, do I?" Shiro says to herself as she soon gripped her staff. "The darkness shows no quarter to the weak, huh?"

Indeed. The question is…are you weak, Shiro?

Shiro says as she soon looked to the behemoth. Her eyes completely shrouded by the light of the sun. Shiro bared a giddy grin at the target before her.

"Heh. Y'know what they say, doncha? The bigger they are, the harder they'll fall. And the one who's down for the count's always the weakest one~" The rabbit says maliciously until she soon noticed something.

A puddle of darkness formed in the wake of the monster's slam. Arising from that puddle are the lesser Shadows that she has fought against before.

"D'oh, please. I ain't got time for a couple of pipsqueaks like you." Shiro says as she took from her Gag Bag an old friend.

"Hope you're up for another serving, Ol' Smokey. SOUP'S ON!" Shiro yells out as Ol' Smokey sucked in the shadows just like before. There weren't that many, so she easily collected them all.

"Hehehehhh~" The tan-furred rabbit soon points Ol' Smokey to the behemoth's face, and fired a cannonball of shadows at it, making the creature tumble back.

The creature didn't like that.

"Uh-oh. Better pack it in, quick, buddy." Shiro says as she packs Ol' Smokey back into her Gag Bag, and awaits for the monster's next move.

Its next move was to kneel to the ground to gather dark energy. All the dark energy gathered to the heart-shaped crevasse. When enough energy was gathered, the monster released it all into a purple orb of darkness – several of them.

Too many for Shiro to keep track of as she only kept dodging and dodging until, she soon swats one of them with the shaft of her staff. It didn't hit the giant shadow…but it did give the tan-furred rabbit an idea.

An idea presents itself. Like a twister, the rabbit swirled around, and soon stopped…

Now revealing her to be wearing baseball apparel. A green and white jersey, and a white skirt. The rabbit's about to play ball.

"And comin' up on center bat is lil' lapin, Shiro!" Shiro boasts as cheers were suddenly heard amidst the outer confines of the prison. Even the shadowy behemoth looked around in confusion.

"The score's 0-4. It's the last outing of the game, folks. Who'll take home the cup, and who'll gone home a losah? Here's the windup…!" Shiro announces as the behemoth projected another energy ball at the toon.

"There's the pitch! Here it comes, here it comes, ayyyy battah, battah, battah, battah, SWING! IT'S A HIT!" Shiro screams out as she hits the energy ball with the staff.

"It's going, it's going, it's going" Oh, it's indeed going…straight towards the behemoth's face.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

"AND IT'S GONE!" Shiro cheered as the shadowy behemoth jerked backwards, in contact with the ball of dark energy.

A suggestion if I may?

"Fire away! I'm in a good mood!" The rabbit says happily.

I'd say the time is right…to end this battle in a spectacle.

"Spectacle?" Shiro asks as she returns to her normal clothing.

To begin, encase the Shadow in ice. Picture the harsh and cold bitterness of ice. Use the darkness within you to reflect that cold chill…and unleash Jack Frost's cruel hand on the beast.

The rabbit took the advantage to do just that. She concentrated and thought cold thoughts. She can feel it. Cold, loneliness…emptiness. A feeling as cold as darkness itself.

Her eyes snapped open – blue, and cold. An even greater chill emanates throughout the bridge…as she casts her spell.

"FREEZE!" Shiro cries out as she projects from her staff a small ball of ice. Soon enough, the behemoth regained its composure…only for it to do so too late.

It soon met the ball of ice, which exploded on impact into a large crystal formation. The air in the fortress grew colder, as ice began to travel around the behemoth…evidently encasing it in ice completely. What stands before the three is a giant statue.

Shiro's grin signifies that she wants to destroy that statue.

Good, good~ now then, remember that SPELL I wish for you to cast?

"You sayin' the time's now?" Shiro asks. The rabbit only grins a mischievous grin. "Heh, I was never a big fan of ice sculptures, anyway."

Concentrate, Shiro. Use everything you've learned about Magic thus far and unleash a powerful flare that could destroy the monster.

"A powerful flame. Go big or go home, huh?" Shiro asks with a smirk on her face. "Then I guess we're goin' big~"

She gave a heavy sigh, once more…and closed her eyes. Concentrate, for there's nothing stopping her from unleashing a powerful spell.

She raised her staff up high as a small ball of light formed atop her staff. It had a happy smile on its face and rosy cheeks. A tiny little ball of cartoon sunshine. Soon the face distorts into a vile and mischievous grin, the same grin that Shiro bears.

Soon the happy little ball of sunshine began to grow bigger, and bigger, until it was the same size as the giant ice sculpture before the toons. Evidently, the ball of sunshine soon forms…into a gigantic and chaotic ball of fire.

"HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH~" The ball of fire cackles maddingly.

The time has come.

NOW!

The searing ball of fire only shadows the threatening rabbit…as she casts her spell. She pushed her feet apart, extended the gloved hand she was holding the staff in…

"SOLARIS!" And with all her might, she HURLED the gigantic ball of fire towards the iced behemoth.

"GAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The ball of fire cackles as it soon comes into contact with the ice sculpture.

BOOOOOOOM!

On contact, the ball of fire exploded into a great bustling pillar, shining an even brighter light than the sun before the cartoon. What was once a shadowy behemoth was now nothing more than a pile of ash, scattered to the wind.

"A-and that's…." Shiro says determinedly…when suddenly her eyes went pale. "That…" She croaked before

Thump

The little rabbit fainted. And her staff rolled out of her gloved hands. ALL of her Mana went into that attack. It's clear that it overwhelmed her.

Don't be afraid.

Unbeknownst to her, shadows arose from the ground. Thousands upon thousands of them. Not only that, but the prison gate also opened revealing an even greater army of shadows.

You hold the mightiest weapon of all...

All of them only closed in on the sleeping toon, surrounded her…until her sight would show nothing more than darkness. Perhaps…this is what was meant to happen to her.

So, don't forget…

Perhaps it is all a test

Perhaps it is all a test to see…if she truly is ready to face the darkness. It was from then on…that everything…went black.

You are the one...who will open the door
