A\N: My short sequel to 'Welcome home' enjoy, Angels.
It's been a few hours since Mike was released from prison and got reunited with his fiancee and the rest of their family at the firm. After talking with their family about anything and everything for a few hours, Mike yawns, much to the amusement of his family.
"Come on, Mike, let's get you home." Harvey says as Mike shakes his head. "I'm not tired." The blonde says around a yawn, causing the five out of six people to chuckle. Mike pouts as he leans his head on Rachel's shoulder, his eyes slowly drooping. His eyes snap open when he feels a hand on his shoulder and he flinches.
"Easy, pup, It's just me. Let's get you home." Harvey says, reassuring him. Mike nods and lets Rachel help him to his feet, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. The couple give their family smiles.
"Night guys." Rachel says before the engaged couple exit Harvey's office, the Closer following them out. Mike leans into Rachel as the trio walk out of the building and onto the street where Ray is waiting for them.
"Mike, Rachel." Harvey's driver greets the couple as he opens the door for both of them. Mike just nods his head before crawling into the car, much to the amusement of Rachel, Harvey and Ray.
"Kid looks exhausted." Ray says to his boss as he closes the door behind Rachel. Harvey nods.
"He is, he head thinks he's still in prison, it'll take him a long time to get out of it. Make sure they get home okay then go home yourself, Me, Jessica, Louis and Donna are gonna stay here for a few more hours." Ray nods before getting into the driver's seat and driving away.
After Ray has driven away with an exhausted Mike and Rachel, Harvey stands on the sidewalk for another minute, silently thanking whoever is listening to him that Mike is out of that place before walking back into the firm to half of his family.
Mike smiles as Rachel leads him through the front door of their shared apartment, their shared apartment that he didn't think he'd see for two years.
"I never thought I'd see this place for a long time." Mike comments softly as he closes the door behind him, looking around the place he calls home.
The couch is in the same place.
The coffee table is in the same place.
Everything is in the kitchen in the same place.
Everything in their bedroom is in the same place.
Everything in their bathroom is in the same place.
Everything is in the exact same place, just like he left it.
He stands in the doorway of their bedroom as Rachel stands behind him. "You're home now, forever. And you're never going back. I promise." The love of his life says softly, Mike nods his head as he looks at the made bed. Mike turns around and pulls Rachel into his arms and just holds her.
He's home after months of being away.
With Rachel by his side, he knows he'll always have a home with her.
