Timeline: Naruto was sent back in time after the Five Kage Summit so he knows about Minato, Sage Mode, and Danzo
The Supreme Kai of Time and Trunks enters the Time Nest with their newest member Boruto. On a table a scroll are lying around with one of them oozing dark energy. The Kai picks it up and shows it to Boruto. "This is a Scroll of Eternity. All of the events that have occurred are recorded in these. But then a change occurred."
The Supreme Kai unrolls it and shows Boruto a video.
(Age 761)
"Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo fires a powerful laser beam with all of his might at Raditz, who is being held by Goku in a full nelson. Seeing it coming, Raditz breaks from his brother's hold and Goku is the only one to be struck by it. Raditz then fires a big ki blast at Piccolo. Too tired to move, he is consumed by it. The Saiyan laughs manically as dark energy comes out of him. Next to him is an unconscious child.
Boruto gasps at the display with Trunks picking the scroll up. "As you can see, if history is altered in anyway, it can cause a lot of destruction. Please. Will you help us?"
"Of course." Boruto nods and is given the Time Scroll. "Leave it to me."
He holds onto the Time Scroll and teleports to the anomaly.
(Age 761)
Goku and Piccolo are trying to hit Raditz, who is blocking every punch and kick. "This is your last chance Kakarot."
Raditz appears behind them and elbows them. "Join the Saiyans or die with this planet!"
"I will never join you!" Goku answers however he is knee in the stomach and stomp on by Raditz. Piccolo tries to attack from behind but Raditz knocks him away with his tail. His space pod shakes while his power scooter alerts a power rising from it.
"What? Someone's power level is rising! But that can only mean..."
"Stop hurting my dad!" Gohan breaks out of the pod and lands. He flies straight towards Raditz.
"My space pod!" The Saiyan's eyes glow red and dodges Gohan's attack. This slams the child into the ground and Raditz charges an energy ball. "Here's a present from Uncle Raditz!"
"No! Stop!" Goku shouts but his evil brother fires it anyway. He looks in shock as an explosion engulfs his son. Raditz admires his work but gets an alert from his scouter.
Boruto places Gohan down and joins Goku and Piccolo. Seeing a hurt Gohan reminds Boruto of his sister Himawari and now he is pissed.
"You are going to pay!"
"Hey Goku. Can we trust this guy?" Piccolo asks Goku, who laughs.
"He looks like a good guy. I trust him."
Raditz smugly looks at them as his eyes glow red again. He flies up and fires a ki blast at Goku and Piccolo and another at Boruto. They all fly up in the sky to dodge it and prepare to attack Raditz.
"Man. Flying sure is something. I should thank Trunks for the training when I get back." Boruto is new to flying but he has a hang for it.
"No problem Boruto. Happy to help." Trunks speaks through a ear piece. "I can monitor and speak to you through this ear piece. Be careful though. Raditz is stronger then what he was suppose to be."
Boruto places his fingers together and creates two shadow clones. They all attack Raditz but he punches each one of them.
"Trash can work together but it is still trash!" Raditz said as he grabs the clone's fist and hit him, creating smoke. The other clone burst out of the smoke and kicks Raditz in the face. He crashes down and Goku elbows him while Piccolo tries to hit his neck but he fires a Double Sunday, Goku was able to dodge it while Piccolo narrowly dodges it at the cost of his arm.
Goku sighs and lands next to Piccolo. Boruto creates a Rasengan and tries to hit him but punches him in the gut and his Rasengan dissipates as air escapes his lungs.
"Well, we are losing but at least we are dodging. So that is something. High fi- oh god!" Goku shouts once he realize Piccolo's arm is gone. "Um... Are you okay?"
"I'm fine!" Piccolo shouts at Goku. Both of them watch Raditz punches Boruto but he replaces a log and does a flying spin kick to his head.
"Look. You and him distract Raditz. I know a technique that I can use with one arm. But you need to hold him while I am charging."
"Got it!" Goku rejoins the battle as Piccolo places his finger on his forehead.
Boruto and Goku run around Raditz and becomes blurs. Raditz watches them and shouts as he punches both of them.
"There you are brother!"
Raditz grabs Boruto by the collar and holds him up. He raises his other hand and creates a ki ball. "I don't know if you are one of Kakarot's friends but you are going to pay."
That is when he lets go of Boruto and falls face first thanks to Goku grabbing his tail. "HA! Got your tail."
"Let me go Kakarot!"
"I told you, my name is Son Goku and I am not letting go."
"Please Kakarot. I promise to leave this planet and never come back!" Raditz resorts to begging and Goku begins to let go, believing in him. That mercy is rewarded with Raditz kicking him away. He charges his ki and goes to finish his little brother off.
"If you will not join the Saiyans then you will die!"
Boruto charges a small Rasengan and throws it at Raditz.
"You are not getting away with this! Vanishing Rasengan!" Boruto shouts. The Rasengan seems to disappear which Raditz is about to gloat at his weakness when he felt something hit his chest. This dazes Raditz enough for Goku to put him in a full nelson.
"Piccolo!"
"Ready!" Piccolo has charged his attack and his finger has energy coursing out of it.
"Let go!" Raditz tries to get out of Goku's grip but he cannot. "Stop Kakarot! Are you going to kill your own brother?!"
"My brother would never hurt Gohan or my friends! Piccolo, do it!"
"Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo fires a powerful laser beam and it hits Raditz. It goes through his armor and body and also through Goku. Both Saiyans collapse with Raditz cursing to his last breath.
Piccolo is breathing heavily due to using a lot of ki to create his technique. The son of the Demon King chuckles as not only is that invader gone but so is his rival Goku. He looks around for that person that helped them but doesn't find him.
"Who the hell was that?"
Boruto teleports back to the Time Nest, where he meets with a happy Trunks and Supreme Kai of Time.
"That was a good first mission." Trunks congratulates Boruto with their boss continuing.
"You should've seen his first Time Patrol. He did not know what to do."
"S-supreme Kai!" Trunks is embarrass while Boruto laughs.
"I got that training from both of you. When's the next mission?" Boruto is confident in his next patrol but Trunks calms him down.
"We should focus on more training. You won but barely defeated Raditz with that Vanishing Rasengan."
Boruto wants to help more but knows he needs to get stronger so he agrees with Trunks. Though he doesn't like it. Supreme Kai gives Boruto a pat on his side.
"Don't be down. I can tell you are going to be a great help. Oh Trunks! Show him the training room. That will do it."
Trunks nods and leaves with Boruto while Supreme Kai of Time waves at them.
Boruto and Trunks enters a room at find themselves at a white void with a single building within it.
"Welcome to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Usually a year passes in here every day outside. But for now, I muted the time dealation so we can train a little simpler." Trunks explains as he fiddles with the computer in the middle of the room. The void transforms into the very plains where Raditz crashed in. Piccolo and Goku appear and get into fighting positions.
"Okay. Go all out."
Boruto nods. Goku and Piccolo run at him as he creates a Rasengan.
(Long Ago...)
Naruto and Sara are outside Roran with Minato and his team. They have come to say farewell.
"It was a good experience working together Naruto." Minato smiles at his future son. Something he realize during the mission when he kept looking at him and notices he looks like himself and Kushina.
"I liked it father." Naruto said. Since he was trap in the best, he might as well confess to being his son. How can he forget the man that helped him control the Nine-Tails to defeat Nagato?
Though Minato is happy to know he will one day have a child with his wife, he realizes that he cannot know about it as it could cause changes to the future. Some not good. So he place a seal on himself and his teammates that will alter their memories of this mission once they leave. All they will remember is that someone stopped Mukade from causing an invasion.
"It was great to have met my son. Me and Kushina must have raised you well to become such a great man." Minato pats Naruto on the shoulder and gives him a proud look. Something that Naruto is happy and sad to see. "Farewell."
The Konoha ninja leaves. Once they are gone, Naruto gets on his knees and looks about ready to cry. Sara kneels and hugs him. Naruto wants to tell him the truth. About Kyubi and their deaths but couldn't.
"Naruto. You may be trap but this place is your home. You saved Roran and me so you can stay here."
"Thank you..." Naruto said.
What is he suppose to do? Just hide and let all the terrible things he knows happen the way they were?
The more he thinks about it, the more he wonders:
'Should history stay the way it is? Can't I change it?'
