Chapter 4

Updates may be a bit scarce over the next few days as I am fairly busy. But they will pick up again over the weekend. I hope you enjoy this update.

Andy was grateful for Carina. When she had woken from her sleep, Carina was keeping an eye on her obs and was making sure Andy was okay.

Andy hadn't said much when she woke up, and Carina understood everything. She knew exactly when Andy would break, and it would be soon. For this Carina knew, she knew, she needed to talk to the 19 team and have them be around for her. Right now nobody knows what is going on inside Andy's head until she talks. Carina knows full well what a sexual assault does to a woman, and the thoughts and feelings afterwards are different for everyone.

"You had a good sleep" Carina said, looking at the time "You practically slept through the night" She added, she knew this was because Andy was medicated but it was a good thing that the woman was able to sleep.

"Must've been the drugs. Any other time I try and sleep I have nightmares about what happened, about what is happening. The police know who he is, where he lives and works and right now there is no sign of him. He's out there somewhere, and I am so scared he's going to come back." Andy said quietly.

"Andy. There is no way he would come back. There's too many armed guards, security and police here keeping an eye out. What makes you think he's going to come back for you?" Carina asked gently

"The last thing he said to me was See you soon Princess and I can just feel him everywhere. It won't go away and it makes me feel dirty. I have showered 4 times in 2 days, and I still feel dirty." Andy sobbed. She was so scared in this moment and she just wanted her friends to make it better, but she had pushed them too far and they wouldn't come into her room. They just waited outside until she was ready

"I just want him to get caught. I don't wanna feel this way any more. I need to get out. I need to get out. I gotta get out!" Andy started getting hysterical. Carina took Andy's hand and started drawing soothing circles in her palm.

"Andy. I know right now, you feel hurt and broken. I can't make any promises, I would never make any promises. The police are going to do whatever they can to catch him. I need you to breathe though Andy. In and Out come on." Carina was practically pleading for Andy to breathe with her. Andy was panicking and it was making it worse for her.

"I, I can't" Andy said, her breathing getting worse and worse. "It hurts" She added

Carina started coaching Andy's breathing. But she was only getting worse.

"Andy, would it help if i got someone familiar for you. Jack? Maya?" Carina asked, she needed to get help before Andy passed out. Andy nodded

"J,j Jack. g-get J-Jack" She asked. And Carina ran as fast as she could to get Jack from outside.

Jack entered the room as fast and as calm as he could. He gently took his best friends hand in his and started rubbing her palms.

"Hey, hey I'm here. Breath Andy I've got you" He said, and she just stared at him. Tears forming in her eyes, she weakly put her arms out and invited him in for a hug.

Jack leaned over the bed and gently hugged Andy, trying to keep her calm. She slowly started to regulate her breathing. He left the room silent for a while. He knew that Andy was scared. He just wanted her to feel safe and calm. he adjusted the was he was sitting and slowly climbed into bed next to Andy. He placed his arm protectively around her, and held her gently.

Carina had decided to leave Jack to it. She didn't want to intrude. She took herself off to go and see other patients, and decided she would check back later.

Jack and Andy lay for a while, neither spoke. Jack noticed Andy had calmed pretty quickly, and he soon realised she had fallen asleep.

He gently moved off the bed, and tucked her into some blankets. Afterwards, he stepped out of the room and went to get some coffee.

When Jack returned to the room, Andy was still sleeping. He sat down on the chair next to her bed, and decided to take a quick nap. He still wanted to be in the room when she woke up, in case she went into a state of panic again.

About an hour later, Carina returned to the room. She had noticed Jack asleep on the chair, and placed a blanket over him. She removed the rubbish from the room and stepped out to update Andy's chart.

She noticed Station 19 had returned to see their friend and went to go give a minor update

"Hey guys, I thought you had a shift?" Carina asked. She knew they had work today and was quiet surprised to see them at the hospital.

"Chief Ross has A-shift on leave for a few days. She said we could be here for Andy, and can return to work next week." Maya responded.

"We thought we could bring these for Andy. It's just some of her favourite things." Vic said, holding the bag of snacks for Andy.

"I'm sure she'd love it. But she is sleeping right now. She's been through a lot and her mind and body are healing. She's fallen asleep now, and Jack is with her. Once she's awake I'll let her know your here" Carina said.

"Yeah thanks" Maya said to her wife

Roughly an hour later, Andy and Jack had woken up. Carina informed her about her friends being outside, and Andy had said they could come in and see her.

The team entered Andy's room quietly, and slowly surrounded her bed.

"Come on guys, I know I look fragile. But you don't have to treat me like im dying." Andy said, half joking

"Well, we are glad you let us see you. We bought you some things from your place. Some comfy outfits, chocolate, basically all the good stuff that isn't restricted in hospitals." Maya said.

"Look I'm sorry I've pushed you guys away these last couple of days. My minds been all over the place and a few people have made me realise I cannot push the people I love because of the actions of one selfish person." Andy said "Jack and Carina have talked to me, and I realised that not sleeping, eating or drinking will quiet literally kill me. And I know that would kill you guys and I would never ever want to do that to you guys. So I'm sorry, and I promise soon I'll be back to the same Andy I was before." She added

"Andy, you have nothing to be sorry for." Robert said, smiling at her slightly.

"Let's not get soppy now, I've done enough crying. Where's this chocolate Maya was talking about.?" Andy questioned, laughing. The whole of the team laughed with her.

Small update for chapter 4. I struggled to get this one finished because of a power cut my house suffered this evening.
