Later that evening, Marinette was at Juleka and Luka's place along with Rose and Ivan in order to check out the new masks.
"These masks are amazing, Marinette," said Rose.
"She's right, they're much more comfortable than those old ones and even feel like they'll hold up longer too," said Luka.
"Thanks," said Marinette.
"I made them using some of the softest material I had then coated that in plaster on the outside so it'll sit better on your face while holding up to the movement you do as you sing and play your instruments," she said.
"Cool," said Juleka.
"By the way, did you hear about our next gig?" asked Ivan.
"No, I haven't," said Marinette.
"It's actually supposed to be a surprise but we can trust you not to tell people about this," said Rose.
"After all it was your brother who hired us," she said.
"Leon did?" asked a surprised Marinette.
"Yeah, he heard our first song and wants us to sing for background music in Platinum Games' latest game," said Luka.
"Wow, that's amazing guys," said Marinette.
"I'm surprised you haven't heard anything about this since it's your brother and all who wanted us to sing in the first place," said Ivan.
"I haven't really heard from him since he first arrived in Paris," said Marinette with a regretful expression as she realized this.
"It's been three months since then," said a stunned Juleka.
"Yeah, I think I'm going to leave a little early and go see him because I'm kind of worried about him now that I've realized this," said Marinette as she stood up from the chair she had been sitting in and grabbed her bag.
"Alright, hope he's doing alright," said Luka. As Marinette was walking away from the boat, Tikki poked her head out of her purse.
"Do you think your brother is in trouble?" asked Tikki.
"Leon is the kind of person to get fixated on something then overwork himself while trying to figure it out," said Marinette.
"So, I'm worried that he may be doing just that," she said.
"Let's hope that it's not something too big," said Tikki while ducking back into the purse while Marinette got onto a bus.
