The morning's Robin felt eager enough to drag himself out of bed earlier than the others were usually some of his better days. Starting off with his own peaceful schedule of getting ready in the seclusion of his room and private bathroom, only to be greeted with the quiet burn of the morning sun shining light across the empty main room of their tower. Someday's he could catch the sunrise just early enough where he could see blends of all the colors mix together across the sky. Purples, pinks, blues, and yellows; the flaming sun accenting the colors and reflecting them off the clouds, wrapping the sparkling town below them with colors like a painting. Occasionally the moon would still be out to greet him, the faint traces of stars glimmering against the illuminated sky before they would disappear against the lights of the city. He could lose himself in watching the sky for hours.
Perhaps that's what he had lost track of time doing, when he heard the door to the common room open from his position at the kitchenette counter. He turned his attention towards the door, only vaguely surprised to see one of the only other early risers of the tower standing stiffly in the doorway, her eyes on him.
"Good morning." He breathes, greeting Raven.
"Hey," She responds quickly, pulling the hood of her cloak down so he can get a better view of her face.
Robin offers her a gentle smile, holding her eyes for a moment longer before turning back towards the view out the windows once again. Raven being here wouldn't bother him in the slightest, she could appreciate the silence better than anyone he knew. He was almost as familiar with her routine as he was his own, having collided many times in the kitchen early in the morning like this. She liked her earl gray tea concoction, it was warm and creamy but he could never remember what she'd called it. It was probably what led her here so early to begin with, a speckle of peace in what otherwise might be a very unpredictable day. Slowly he noticed the blue spec in his peripheral coming slowly closer and closer until he could feel her presence lingering nearby. He didn't mention her proximity, not wanting to bother her if she wasn't looking for a conversation so early in the morning. He wouldn't blame her, they were all used to her usual slightly sharper demeanor in the morning until she had her morning tea to help soothe her mind and stomach.
He remained silent, waiting to see if she would break the silence first or do her business and leave. She remained still and silent next to him, however, an awkward air of tension growing between them. Robin shifted his weight to the side, hoping maybe if he was in her way the action would prompt her to react. When she still remained unfazed Robin finally turned his full attention towards her, arching a brow. She wasn't looking at him, her eyes locked intently on her hands clasped around the cup of tea she had already made for herself. He watched her for a second, a semblance of a smile creeping onto his lips.
"Hey," Robin greets her gently. "Good morning."
"Yeah," She agrees awkwardly, still refusing to meet his gaze.
"Are you okay?" He asks, his smile faltering slightly as a glimmer of worry seeps through him.
She nods, her hair bobbing along with the movement of her head, falling to rest around her face blocking her view of him even more. Her silence was making him nervous, it wasn't like her usual silence. He could feel an odd tension in the air between them that was sending chills along his neck. It was incredibly unfamiliar feeling this awkward in her presence, they normally felt so casual and comfortable with each other. Things had only recently started becoming awkward between them now, it had been roughly two weeks since they'd had a very impromptu and heated makeout session in her room and they weren't always completely sure how to act around each other now. They could barely talk about the incident without laughing and sputtering half hearted insults to diffuse the tension, let alone deal with any of the repercussions of their actions. So things might be a little weird from time to time. It felt like this was one of those times.
"Yeah…" Raven repeats again, her voice trailing off like she's lost in thought.
He waits once again, giving her time to collect whatever thoughts she seems to be struggling with. She purses her lips, nodding to herself, seemingly encouraging herself internally. He was much better about respecting her mental boundaries, a good amount of practice and meditation sessions had encouraged a lot of growth in their shared abilities. It was easy to take special care to ensure he was respecting her space, no flickers of colors across his vision, no throbs of pain behind his eyes, all his thoughts remained uninfluenced.
"Am I in your way or something?" He tried again after it seemed like the words were still stuck in her head.
"No, just…" Her nose curled slightly as she shook her head, her leg bouncing anxiously in place. "I don't know." She fidgets, shoving the hair in her face behind her ear. "You're just nice to be near."
He finally notices the color aggressively flooding her cheeks, her eyes blinking rapidly as she's not sure where to keep her focus. Her words slowly sink in and he can feel the color creeping into his cheeks similarly to hers, and a warmth flows through his head before radiating and fluttering down into his stomach. His brain short circuits a little, and he can't think of a single word to respond, but he feels his face stretch into a large goofy grin.
"Stop staring at me like that." Raven's blush deepened as she turned to hide her own embarrassed grin.
"Like what?" Robin can't help but ask, he leans against the counter trying to get a glimpse of her face.
"Like an idiot." She brings a hand up to cover her mouth as she rolls her eyes to look away from him again.
"An idiot you like to be near?" He asks, sliding closer to her.
"And just like that the feeling is gone." She tries giving him a heated look but he can tell it doesn't meet her eyes.
"Aw, wait what can I do to bring it back?" Robin asks, laughing.
"Shut your mouth!" She insists, trying to turn her back on him completely, so he can't see her face at all.
His cheeks hurt from the ridiculous smile that's etched into his face but he couldn't help it if he tried. He knows how hard it is for Raven to express herself in general, let alone in a positive manner. To top that off it's positivity for another person, who just so happens to be him. This was one of the first times Raven had tried something like this, and to say he was elated was an understatement. The excitement was all too tantalizing, and she set him up far too easy.
"I know something else my mouth could be better occupied with." He teases in his best attempt at a seductive voice, resting his head on one of the arms braced against the counter top.
Robin hears the faintest squeak of surprise come from Raven's stiff body. Her powers crackle sending her tea mug sliding across the counter, stopping just before the edge causing a foamy beige wave to splatter against the hard surface. Robin can't help the amused bark of laughter that rips through him at eliciting such an intense reaction out of her. She turns to face him then, her cheeks flaming with color as she half heartedly shoves at his chest.
"Shut up," She sputters, trying to turn her amused grin into her shoulder while he grabs at her hands attacking him.
The doors to the room slide open behind them suddenly, causing the two to break apart quickly, Raven pulling her hood up to cover her face.
"Oh jeez, you two better not be going at it already." Cyborg groans as he walks into the room, the two other members of their team trailing behind him.
"Huh?" The birds ask in unison, trying to keep their eyes off each other as they continue to feel the heat tingling underneath their eyes.
"You better not be riling her up, Robin." Cyborg rephrases, his voice tired.
"Yeah!" Beastboy agrees, butting in. "No offense, Raven, but no ones in the mood for your snappy lip today."
"I think someone else would beg to differ." Raven mutters just quiet enough for Robin to hear.
Robin coughs to mask his huff of laughter as he tries to elbow her in the ribs for her comment. She slaps at his arm as he tries, blocking the attack and he can't keep the smile of admiration off his face as she does.
"Alright, break it up." Cyborg shoves his hand between the two as he enters the kitchen area, glancing down at the spilled tea from Raven's mug. "Robin, clean up the counter."
"What?! But she did it!" Robin yelled exasperated, an amused grin still painting his face.
"Yeah and it was probably because of something stupid you said." Cyborg dismisses him, reaching across the leader to grab at the coffee pot of still kinda fresh coffee.
"It's like you were right there with us." Raven remarks flatly, watching as Cyborg pours himself a cup.
"Lip." Cyborg points at her and she raises her hands defensively at the motion.
Robin bites his lip to hide his smile as he moves to the other end of the counter to reach for the paper towels. As he passes he makes sure to jab his finger sharply into Raven's side, causing her body to stiffen as she lets out another squeak of surprise. She smacks at his arms again causing him to laugh as he speeds up his pace walking to the other end of the kitchen, grabbing the paper towels then making a show of taking the long way around the island towards her abandoned spilled drink.
"What's wrong with you two?" Beastboy asks, frowning as he watches them interact.
"What do you mean?" Robin asks right as Raven speaks as well.
"Nothing." She shoots flatly, her usual edge lacing her tone.
"You're both acting weird…" Beastboy notes, his lip curling in suspicion.
"He started it." Raven's eyes shoot over to Robin's and he can't help but smirk.
"You're both acting like children." Cyborg reaffirms, sighing as he rubs at his temple. "If ya'll are gonna act like this I'm gonna put you both in time out. It is far too early for you two to be bickering."
"Alright, alright." Robin chuckles, mimicking Raven by holding his hands up defensively before he begins wiping up the foamy mess on the counter.
Raven moves to walk past Robin slowly, he could feel her eyes lingering on him as she neared. His body tensed as he waited for her to retaliate, she stopped behind him just long enough to make him uncomfortable, before walking past him completely and heading for the L shaped booth on the opposite side of the room. He let out the breath he didn't realize he'd been holding as she passed and shot her look, catching the smirk that graced her lips, even behind the shadow of her hood. His teeth catch his bottom lip once again as he rips his attention away from her long enough to finally finish cleaning up the mess she had made.
It takes a second trip to the roll of paper towels, but he eventually mops up the sweet smelling liquid. He lifts his head as he wads the moist towels into a ball and his eyes just so happen to catch hers once again. He stares at her, there's a spark of mischief behind her eyes as her smirk stretches crookedly across her face. His own smile falters slightly at her expression trying to understand the playful malice behind it. Suddenly he hears the zap of energy as the mug he'd just finished wiping down jolts with black magic, causing another wave of watered down froth to splash out across the counter top.
Robin stares down at the once again dirty countertop in disbelief, his mouth slightly slack-jawed, before returning his attention to Raven. Her smile was wide and toothy, rounding out the area of her cheeks that peeked out from the shadow of her hood. If they were still alone she might have laughed aloud, something in him craved to hear the sound.
"Dude, did you forget how to use a rag?" Beastboy's voice behind his shoulder causes Robin to jump.
"What? No! She-"
"You gonna keep blaming her for everything?" Cyborg's head nods back towards his direction from the couch.
"But she-"
"Just clean the counter man, it's not that hard." Cyborg turns around, dismissing their leader once again.
Beastboy snickers as he struts past Robin and moves to join Cyborg on the couch, flipping on the TV much to the dismay of the metal man.
"Come on, Cy. I know what will kick start your morning with a bang." Beastboy grins, flipping through the channels rapidly before settling on the port for the GameStation. "Battle Brawlers." The teen grins wickedly holding up a pair of controllers.
"You know what?" Cyborg sighs in exasperation, his expression turning grave. "You're going down."
Cyborg grins darkly as he snatches the player one controller from the boy's hands causing him to wail.
"So you guys are allowed to fight but we aren't?" Robin asks smirking as he begins wiping up Raven's mess for the second time.
"Yes." Cyborg states simply. "Because this is fun and fake. You two picking at each other is only fun for y'all."
"And disturbing for the rest of us." Beastboy agrees.
"Friend!" Starfire interrupts the banter, flying over to join Robin by the counter. "Perhaps we can distract your mind by making breakfast for us all! I have had the cravings for Glorka Roaches and I would love to have your assistance!"
Robin tries to smile through the grimace that threatened to overrule his expression at the mention of the unfamiliar food.
"You know, Star, I'm actually not that hungry." He smiles sheepishly. "But I'd love to help you make them." He offers, hoping to pacify her.
"Marvelous!" Starfire grins cheerfully at him. "Allow me to grab the mulnch squid eggs and we can begin!"
Robin watches as Starfire flitters away to begin prepping the ingredients, before he turns to shoot a glance in Raven's direction. Her eyes are still on him, her expression more composed as she watches him with interest. He offers her an awkward shrug and she gives him a nonchalant one in return. His attention is then immediately occupied as he helps Starfire through a much lengthier and strenuous process than he was anticipating. Whatever mulnch squid eggs were, he never wanted to cook with them again. The horrific black golf ball sized soft eggs with rings of deep teal and white that almost looked like eyes staring back at him, and much to his dismay Starfire had him mash them into a gelatinous paste. He was even more perturbed once Star pulled out the live roaches and their biggest butcher knife as she instructed him where to properly place the knife as if the large insects were nothing more than simple lobsters.
Another flicker of blue passes along his peripheral as he bares the knife down through the shell and he lifts his gaze to watch with faint disappointment as Raven's billowing cape leaves through the sliding door of the room. He can't be too upset, if he hadn't offered his help to begin with he probably wouldn't be the first in line to watch the show from the sidelines either. The horrific crunch of the shell as the knife went through the exoskeleton wasn't exactly enjoyable first hand, being a spectator probably didn't enhance the experience. The bicker and banter from Cyborg and Beastboy on the couch as they duked out round after round probably wasn't the most enticing to Raven't enjoyment either, so he could hardly blame her for leaving.
He's not sure how long their process takes, but once they're done it feels far past the time that people would normally define as breakfast time. Deshelling the roaches, frying the shells, mixing the insides, baking the insides, re-mixing the insides, stuffing the shells, and baking them for a final time. It smells beyond burnt, but Starfire seems more than delighted with the dark green insect dish so in the end it's worth it.
"You are sure you do not wish to have any?" Starfire asks, offering him a particularly pungent roach.
"Ah, no but thank you. I had fun making them with you." He smiles, shutting her down gently.
"Of course!" She beams in return.
Starfire turns her attention to the remaining boys on the couch, flying over to them with the platter offering them to the pair with a grin. Robin chuckles quietly to himself as the two sheepishly try to pass on the dish without hurting their friends feelings. Robin turns his attention back towards the kitchen counter, now dirty once again and sighs. He looks up towards the L booth, surprised to see Raven had returned to her spot in the corner, this time with a book placed on the table in front of her occupying her attention. He grins to himself, glancing at his other three occupied friends before neglecting the new mess in the kitchen and slipping his way over to the empath.
If she noticed his presence approaching she didn't let on. Her right arm resting against the table, propping her head up as she lazily turned through the pages of her book. Robin slid into the booth next to her quickly, his side bumping up against hers. She jumps, turning a heated glance toward the offender only for her expression to soften at the sight of him. She catches herself quickly, smoothing over her soft expression to one of unimpressed inconvenience as she regards him with an arched brow. That dumb smile he can't control splits across his face again as he looks at her. For some reason he can't think of anything funny or witty to say in the moment, so he feels silly as they just sit there staring at each other in silence.
Raven drops her head, watching him silently but expectantly for a moment before slowly returning to the pages of her book. Robin's smile doesn't seem to waver even as the contact is dropped. His eyes remain on her, watching as she seemingly ignores him and focuses on the words before her. He's not sure if his eyes on her bother her at all, she's far too good at remaining composed and something in him wants to break her.
He grins as he leans across the table to brace his cheek against his hand, his smile stretching out wide and toothy. He continues staring at her while grinning, silently waiting for her attention to turn to him. He waits patiently. With the safety of his mask he could very easily look around the room while giving the impression that he was still staring directly at her, but he also knows the intense feeling of having eyes on you is undeniably chilling no matter how much Raven refuses to acknowledge him. Eventually she wavers, ever so slightly, her eyes the only thing that moves to meet his attention, but the motion only fuels him further.
Robin scoots closer to Raven, his tight covered legs pressing up against her bare ones. She doesn't move away from the contact, not that he fully expects her to, but she doesn't respond to the motion either. Robin goes a step further, leaning his body into her side with enough force he can feel her stiffen to hold his weight up. He lets his weight slack more, nearly allowing his body to knock her over with the force.
Raven moves quickly then, the hand she doesn't have resting on the table strikes out jabbing into Robin's waist with surprising accuracy. Ravens fingers prod at his body just light enough where the action tickles, sending tingles across his torso and he gasps. Raven turns her body slightly to look at him better as the noise escapes his lips and a chill of dread passes over his body as he watches the gears turn behind her eyes. He watches as her lips slowly spread back into that mischievous grin he'd elicited earlier in the day, and his heart flutters down into his stomach.
"Raven…" Robin warns lowly as both her hands come up to form claws that she begins wriggling in his direction.
Her hands strike quickly, but his reflexes are faster, blocking her hands from attacking his body. She won't give up so easily though, moving quickly she jabs at another part of his torso with one hand, while smacking at his defensive hands with the other. She's able to move his hands out of the way just long enough that she slips her hand directly into the sensitive area of his waist and he can't help the brief scream of surprise that erupts from him at the contact.
Raven jumps at the sound, her hands leaving his body altogether as she moves, pulling one arm back up onto the table clasping a hand over her mouth to cover the laughter threatening to escape. Their friends on the couch all turn to look at them with the disruption of his noise and stare.
"What are you doing now?" Cyborg's voice is more in disbelief than exasperation.
"Nothing." They speak in unison, though Raven's voice is muffled by her hand.
"Why do they keep doing that?" Robin hears Beastboy faintly ask from the couch and he snickers to himself.
"I don't know, but if I have to look back there one more time," Cyborg threatens.
Robin feels more than sees Raven's body shift next to him as she reaches out a hand underneath the table to try and prod at his body again. He snatches her wrist easily, halting her attack as they both keep their eyes on their friends on the couch.
"We're on our best behavior." Robin promises.
Cyborg arches a brow, narrowing his eyes slightly as he watches the pair for a moment before slowly turning back to mutter something to Beastboy and Star who giggle in response. Robin can't help but smile at the back of their heads while he watches them, ensuring they won't turn back around to interrupt the moment once again.
He looks down then, realizing he still had his hand locked around Raven's wrist and he awkwardly loosens his grip, his hand hovering just above hers. She turns her newly released hand so her palm is facing upwards towards his before raising it so their palms are placed flush against each other. He can feel the heat of her skin through his glove and he considers how inconvenient it would be to remove the object, but decides to not ruin the moment. They sit that way for a moment, palms pressed together hovering under the table.
Robin moved his hand then, shifting his fingers ever so slightly and curling them around hers so their fingers are intertwined. Raven blinks down at their hands for a second before slowly following his lead and curling her fingers around his hand as well, lowering their hands so they can rest on his thigh. Raven's other hand moved from covering her mouth to resting on her cheek, propping her head up once again, though leaning to face more in his direction.
Color tinted her cheeks faintly as she stared down at their hands. He noticed a smile ghosting her lips that would occasionally disappear as she chewed on her lower lip nervously. He ran his thumb over the back of her hand soothingly, and the color in her cheeks grew. She glanced up into his masked face, her breath catching slightly as he offers her a crooked smile. She gives him a small smile in return, her eyes dropping back to their hands. He watched her lips pucker as she chewed the inside of her cheek before she shifted her weight slightly, knocking their knees together as she pressed closer into his side.
Robin's eyes flickered briefly over towards their three friends on the couch, their attention intently locked on the screen in front of them still, as they try to explain the mechanics of their game to Starfire. He turns his attention back to Raven, watching the way her eyelids fluttered as her eyes roamed over their intertwined hands. She stares at them intently, as if she's memorizing every line and detail of their two limbs mingled together. There's a softness behind her expression, a look of longing behind her eyes he can't fully seem to place.
His body feels oddly warm as he watches her. His brain tingles and clouds his thoughts as his mind flickers just ever so quickly to thoughts of their heated session back in her room. He feels the heat now, just softer, it lacks the intensity of their first rendezvous but he feels the draw to kiss her. They haven't kissed or even so much as hugged each other since their encounter, they hadn't been sure if there was ever going to be a second time so they thought best to just ignore it and let it go. But…what if he didn't want to let it go? Sure it was easy to ignore the feelings and inclings when they had busy days to occupy their minds, but on slow simple mornings and afternoons like this, moments like this weren't so bad.
Robin glances towards the couch once again, making sure the coast is clear and there were no lingering eyes in their direction. Three bobbing and nodding heads couldn't seem to care less about the birds in the corner as they focus on their game, so Robin takes advantage of the moment. He turns his eyes back to Raven whose head is still hidden behind her hood, angled slightly downwards taking in their hands still. He moves quickly, dipping and angling his head just enough to press his lips quickly to the side of her exposed cheek and pulling back up to look over at the couch quickly ensuring no one else had caught the motion. Their friends remain unperturbed, and he turns back again to Raven who had moved to cover her mouth again with the hand that had been resting on her cheek as she stares at him with wide eyes. Her eyes mimic his motion of darting over to look towards the couch before they rest back on him.
"What are you doing?" Raven asks him, her voice is shaky and soft.
Robin gives her a warm smile and shrugs. "Saying sorry for earlier?"
She continues looking up at him with wide eyes, glancing towards the couch every so often almost in disbelief. Robin runs his thumb over the back of her hand again and her body stiffens as she drops her head to look down at the motion. Every move he makes only further seems to confuse her and he can see the color grow darker in her face. The hand covering her mouth drops just enough as she looks down at their hands, and Robin moves quickly again dropping his face down and close to hers, their noses bumping slightly as he presses a quick kiss against her lips, pulling away just as quick. Raven lets out a hiccup of surprise at the motion, energy sparking out and shaking the table in front of them so hard the vibration echoes across the floor.
"Ra-ven!" Robin enunciates her name dramatically, looking at her in mock shock to emphasize his surprise at the disturbance.
Raven pulls her hand out of his grasp so she can slap at his arms.
"You asshole!" She whispers heatedly in between attacks.
"That's it."
Robin feels the ground vibrate again in patterned increments and he turns to see Cyborg walking quickly in their direction.
"Wait, w-wait!" Robin holds his hands up defensively towards the metal man, shrinking into the booth and squirming more into Raven's side trying to evade him.
"I warned y'all." Cyborg's tone is jaded as he looks down at him unamused.
"Actually," Raven's arm shoots out across Robin's torso, shielding him just enough from the robotic man's grasp. "Robin was just apologizing about this morning."
"Oh really?" Cyborg doesn't look convinced. "The squeaks and building shaking don't exactly seem like someone who's not trying to elicit a reaction out of someone."
"She's right," Robin tries, grinning behind the warmth of Raven's arm. "I actually was just asking her if I could make it up to her by taking her out to get fresh tea at a cafe somewhere in town."
Robin hears the shaky gasp of breath Raven takes at his words and her eyes remain locked on Cyborg like she's almost waiting for him to answer Robin's request for her. Cyborg glances at Raven for a moment before his eye settles on Robin again.
"Did you now?" His brow arches.
Robin nods quickly, turning his head up just enough to look over at Raven, awaiting her response.
"And…I…called him an asshole…" Raven affirms, slowly piecing the words together. "Which means yes…"
Robin smiles wildly, his own cheeks flooding with warmth as his grin turns smugly towards Cyborg. The robotic titan watches them with narrow eyes, suspicion weighing heavily in his expression as he crosses his arms.
"So you two are gonna leave and take your weird ass married couple fighting away from my immediate attention?" Cyborg asks hesitantly.
The pair nod slowly, not committed to agreeing to his statement completely.
"God bless, that's fine. Have fun y'all. Take your time. Beat some bad guys and take out some of that frustration y'all have while you're at it." Cyborg turns, waving a hand over his shoulder dismissing them as he leaps over the couch intentionally trying to disturb Beastboy's moves in the game.
Robin snickers quietly and Raven elbows him in the chest causing him to groan. He reaches up to clasp his fingers around her hand once again and she turns to look down at the motion with just as much amazement as the first time.
"I was serious." Robin noted as he idly ran his fingers across the smooth skin of her hand. "We could get out of here for a bit… just the two of us."
Raven bites her lip to hide her smile and nods, not meeting his eyes. Robin beamed up at her breathlessly and nodded in return. He squeezed the hand he still had a hold of before pulling away from her side to stand up from the booth. He kept his grip on her hand as he watched her shuffle her way out of the booths after him, keeping her gaze low and her lips pursed. As she stands next to him, she finally looks up into his masked face to meet his eyes and they can't help but smile warmly at each other.
Robin turns to look at the couch once more, dropping Raven's hand quickly as he notices Starfire's eyes peeking just barely over the couch watching as the birds move in the back of the room. Robin offers her a sheepish wave and smile to go along with it, which she doesn't seem to return and Robin turns away from the contact quickly, ushering Raven towards the doors of the room. They leave through the doors in a rush, leaving their friends behind them and settling the air of peace and solitude around them once again as they make their way down the hall.
Robin throws a glance over his shoulder towards the doors of the main room, and the second he does Raven stops in front of him causing him to stumble into her body. He wraps his arms around her body as he staggers slightly, trying to catch his balance. She turns in his arms, placing a hand on his chest to support his weight slightly and his hand drops to her waist as he just barely catches himself. Raven looks up at him, cocking her head in mock confusion at his clumsy movements. Her mouth opens and he expects a witty remark to slap him in the face but her words seem caught in her throat, her jaw seems to slacken, and her eyes are frozen on his lips.
The hand she placed on his chest seems to move on its own as it trails up the fabric covering his collarbone, slowly finding where the skin of his neck peaks out from the top of his cape and letting their skin finally connect. He can feel her breath tremble against his face as her hand caresses his cheek, creeping just slightly up along the edges of his gelled hair. He smiles down at her knowingly, his own eyes taking in all the lines and features of her dark full lips. Her lips come together in a flat line and her breath leaves her nose in a harsh sigh as she watches him smile.
"You're infuriating." She mutters, her voice low as she brings their faces closer, her eyes lidding further.
His grin widens and before he can respond she lifts herself up closing the distance, pressing their lips together. They both gasp into each other's mouths at the contact, Raven turning in his arms entirely so her other arm can rise to wrap around his neck. Robin pulls her body in closer, that familiar heat searing between them quickly. His hands grasp at her waist and her hand at his neck clings to his cape, working her lips against his feverishly. He responds just as eagerly, their lips only breaking apart for brief seconds to gather air before they succumb to each other again. Robin staggers, pulling their bodies over along the wall so it's easier to support their weight before pulling his lips away from hers to plant kisses along her throat and shoulder.
Raven's breath comes out in shaky gasps as she wraps both arms around his neck, urging him closer, holding his head against the area. Her body feels like it vibrates as a growl rumbles low in her throat as his teeth happen to skim along the skin of her neck lightly as he makes his way back up towards those beautifully plump lips. Her response is far too tantalizing, he can't help but want to push her further. He lets his teeth graze along the skin just above the top of her leotard once again before biting down just hard enough to tug at the flesh causing the demon to gasp, her nails digging into his shoulders as the light above them burst, raining sharp sparks of glass and electricity around them for a moment before shrouding them in a shadow of darkness.
"AY YO!" The pair hear faintly from the common room, even with the little bit of distance they made down the hall.
They pull away from each other sheepishly, Raven shrinking in on herself slightly. Robin grabs her hand quickly, not allowing her time to shut herself off from him before tugging her arm and leading her farther down the hallway.
"Come on," Robin grins wickedly back at Raven, squeezing her hand to encourage her. "Let's get out of here before he interrupts us again."
