Mikoto's concern was palpable as she watched her son rush down the hospital hallway. "Sasuke, wait! What's going on?" she called out after him.
Sasuke's heart was racing as he ran towards the car, his mind racing with worry for Hinata. The phone call he received from her had been brief, but the fear in her voice was palpable. He didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, he just knew he had to get to her as soon as possible. His mind was consumed with thoughts of her safety, and he pushed his car to its limits as he drove towards their home.
Meanwhile, Hinata was curled up on the couch in their living room, holding herself tightly. She had never felt so vulnerable and helpless before. The encounter with the stalker had left her shaken to the core, and she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.
As the minutes ticked by, her anxiety grew. Where was Sasuke? Why wasn't he here yet?
Finally, after what felt like an eternity,(When it was only 2 hours) she heard the front door open and Sasuke's voice calling out her name. She let out a sigh of relief and ran into his arms, burying her face in his chest.
"I'm here, Hinata," he whispered soothingly, holding her close. "I've got you."
Hinata clung to Sasuke, tears streaming down her face as she recounted the terrifying encounter with her stalker. Sasuke listened with a mixture of anger and concern, furious that someone had the audacity to make Hinata feel unsafe in her own home.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner," Hinata said, her voice trembling. "I didn't want to worry you, and I thought I could handle it myself."
Sasuke held her tighter, his anger dissipating as he realized how scared and vulnerable she must have felt. "You never have to handle anything like this alone," he said firmly. "I'm here for you, always."
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other's embrace, until Hinata's sobs quieted and she pulled away from him. Sasuke wiped away her tears with the pads of his thumbs and looked deeply into her eyes.
"I love you, Hinata," he said softly. "And I promise you, we'll make sure that stalker never comes near you again."
Hinata felt a wave of warmth wash over her at Sasuke's words. She knew he meant every word, and it made her feel safe and loved.
"I love you too, Sasuke," she replied, her voice still shaky. "Thank you for being here for me."
Sasuke leaned in and kissed her forehead gently, then took her hand and led her to the couch. They sat together in silence, Hinata's head resting on Sasuke's shoulder as he ran his fingers through her hair.
Eventually, Sasuke broke the silence. "We need to report this to the police," he said firmly. "I won't rest until we know that this guy is behind bars."
Hinata's voice trailed off as Sasuke's eyes darkened. She knew that look all too well, and it made her heart race. She had never seen him so angry before.
"I-I already talked to the police," Hinata said shakily, still clinging to Sasuke's arm. "They said they would look into it, but I don't think they can do much."
Sasuke's jaw clenched as he processed her words. "Then it looks like I have to call my brother," he said firmly.
Hinata's eyes widened as she looked up at him. "B-But you haven't talked to your brother since-" she started to say.
"I know," Sasuke interrupted, his voice cold and clipped. "But it has to be done for your safety."
Hinata nodded, knowing that Sasuke was right. She trusted him to make the right decision, even if it meant facing his estranged brother after all these years.
As Sasuke reached for his phone, Hinata took a deep breath and squeezed his hand. Sasuke's thumb flew over the keypad as he dialed Itachi's number. The phone rang several times before it was picked up on the other end.
"Sasuke," Itachi's voice was monotone, as if he was expecting the call.
"Itachi, we need to talk," Sasuke said, his voice firm and resolute.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Itachi spoke again. "I see. About what?"
"It's about Hinata," Sasuke said, his grip on the phone tightening.
Again, there was a pause, and Sasuke could hear the rustling of papers in the background. "I'm listening," Itachi said finally.
Sasuke took a deep breath and explained the situation to his brother, leaving nothing out. He could feel Hinata's eyes on him, her hand still gripping his tightly. Itachi listened in silence, his only response a quiet "I understand" at the end.
"Can you help us?" Sasuke asked, his tone pleading.
There was another pause before Itachi spoke again. "I'll see what I can do. Stay safe, both of you."
Sasuke hung up the phone, his mind racing with thoughts of what Itachi might do. He turned to Hinata, his expression softer now. "We'll get through this," he said, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Together."
Hinata nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that Sasuke and Itachi had a complicated history, but she also knew that Sasuke would do anything to protect her.
"Thank you, Sasuke," she whispered, her head still resting on his shoulder.
Sasuke leaned back, looking into her eyes. "You don't have to thank me, Hinata. You're my wife, and I'll always be here for you."
Hinata smiled weakly, feeling grateful for Sasuke's love and support. She knew that she had made the right decision in marrying him, even if it meant facing the dangers that came with being a part of the Uchiha clan.
As they sat together in silence, Hinata felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that they had a long road ahead of them, but she also knew that they would face it together, no matter what.
With Sasuke by her side, she felt invincible.
The shadow figure stood outside the Uchiha house, hidden in the darkness as he watched Sasuke run inside the house in a frenzy. His heart raced with excitement as he realized his plan was working perfectly. He had been stalking Hinata for a week, watching her every move and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And now, with Sasuke's guard down, he knew he could make his move.
He smirked under his hood as he dialed the number on his burner phone, the sound of the ringing echoing in his ear. "I did what you asked," he said, still smirking. "I think you're right. Something is going on between Ms. Hyuga and Mr. Uchiha. There is no wife in sight."
The voice on the other end of the line chuckled darkly. "Excellent work, my friend. Keep me updated on their movements."
The figure watched as Sasuke and Hinata's silhouettes molded together as they hugged, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. He knew what he had to do next.
As he stepped out of the shadows, his smirk turned into a dark grin. "I smell an affair…," he whispered to himself, his eyes gleaming with malice.
