Sakura, Ino, and Naruto formed a tight circle in the hallway, watching as Hinata walked past them, clutching a book to her chest and glancing around nervously as if something was about to jump out at her.
"Has anyone else noticed that something seems off with Hinata?" Ino asked, turning to face her friends.
"Maybe something happened?" Naruto chimed in, looking concerned.
Sakura shot him a withering look. "Obviously something happened, idiot," she snapped. "The question is, what?"
Ino nodded in agreement. "We need to find out what's going on with her. She's been acting strange for days."
Naruto looked uncertain, scratching his head. "But how do we find out? Hinata's not exactly the type to share her problems."
Sakura let out a heavy sigh, her arms tightly crossed in front of her chest. "We need to figure something out," she said, her voice laced with concern. "I don't like seeing our girl like this."
Ino and Naruto both nodded in agreement, their eyes fixed on Hinata as she walked up to Mr. Uchiha. They watched in confusion as Hinata spoke to him in hushed tones, her body language tense and nervous.
Suddenly, Mr. Uchiha patted Hinata's shoulder, saying something to her that they couldn't quite hear. They watched as Hinata visibly relaxed, her posture straightening and the tension in her face melting away.
"What was that about?" Naruto asked, looking at his friends with confusion.
Ino shrugged. "I have no idea, but whatever he said seemed to help her."
Sakura furrowed her brow, her mind working quickly to try and make sense of the situation. "Maybe we should talk to Mr. Uchiha," she suggested. "He might know what's going on with Hinata."
Ino nodded in agreement. "It's worth a shot."
As they approached Mr. Uchiha, Sakura's heart raced as she tried to keep her composure, remembering the rejection Sasuke had given her not too long ago. She couldn't afford to let her emotions get the best of her, especially when it came to helping her friend Hinata.
"Excuse me, Mr. Uchiha?" Sakura said tentatively. "We couldn't help but notice that something seems to be bothering Hinata. Do you know what's going on with her?"
Mr. Uchiha's expression softened slightly, "I'm afraid I can't discuss Hinata's personal life with you," he said firmly. "But I can assure you that she's in good hands."
The group sat down, exchanging concerned looks among themselves. Hinata arrived shortly after and took her regular seat next to Naruto. As he tapped her shoulder, she flinched before turning to him. "Oh, sorry," she whispered, and Naruto's frown deepened. "Hina, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice low so as not to interrupt Sasuke's class.
Hinata hesitated, debating whether or not to confide in him. She knew that if she told him, he would insist on walking her home, but she no longer lived in the Hyuga compound. She shook her head. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you," she said softly. Naruto's expression darkened further. "You're doing it again, Hina. You're being distant," he said.
Hinata looked at Naruto again, her heart heavy with regret. The last time she had been distant was when she had just married Sasuke, and they had made a pact not to tell anyone until after she graduated. Only Kiba and Shino had known, and that was because Hanabi had confided in them. Hinata sighed sadly. "I really can't tell you," she said, biting her lip.
Naruto's concern for Hinata grew with each passing moment. He had known her for years and had always been able to read her like a book, but now she seemed closed off, distant. It was unlike her.
Sasuke continued with his lecture, unaware of the tension in the air. Hinata tried to focus on the lesson, but her mind kept wandering to the stalker who had been tormenting her for weeks. She had already gone to the police, but they had yet to make any headway in identifying the culprit.
As the class ended, Naruto stood up and turned to Hinata. "I'm not going to give up on you, Hina. If there's anything I can do to help, just say the word," he said, determination etched on his face.
Hinata smiled weakly at him, grateful for his support. "Thanks, Naruto," she said softly, before quickly packing up her things and hurrying out of the classroom.
As Hinata walked out of the school, she could feel that she was being followed. She quickened her pace, her heart beating faster with each step. A shadow figure walked behind her, his hands stuffed in his pockets, a malicious grin spreading across his face. He enjoyed the fear he instilled in her. It made him feel powerful, invincible.
But today was different. He felt a strange sensation that he was being watched, and it was driving him insane. He couldn't fathom the thought of someone following him, someone who could potentially ruin all his hard work. His heart raced as he tried to pinpoint the source of his paranoia, but there was nothing he could see. He shook his head, telling himself it was just his imagination, but the feeling persisted, nagging at him like a persistent itch.
He refocused on his prey and picked up his pace, closing in on her. Hinata looked back, her eyes widening in terror at the sight of the shadow figure looming closer. She stumbled and fell to the ground, her bag spilling its contents. The figure chuckled, savoring the sight of her on the ground. He walked towards her, ready to pounce, but a sudden noise made him stop in his tracks. It was a rustling sound, like someone was hiding in the bushes nearby.
The figure turned to face the noise, his senses on high alert. He knew he was being watched now. He couldn't let anyone interfere with his plan. He drew out a knife from his pocket and held it in a tight grip, ready to strike. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the bushes, tackling the stalker to the ground.
It was Itachi, a member of the notorious Akatsuki gang. Hinata watched as Itachi pinned the stalker down, disarming him of his knife. Itachi's cold eyes glared down at the stalker, and Hinata could see the fear in his eyes. She knew then that Itachi wasn't someone to be trifled with.
"What do you want with her?" Itachi demanded, his voice low and menacing.
The stalker tried to lie, stuttering out some incoherent words, but Itachi wasn't fooled. He pressed the knife to the stalker's neck, making him flinch.
"Tell me the truth," Itachi growled. "Why are you stalking her?"
The stalker's eyes widened in fear as he realized the gravity of the situation. He knew he couldn't hide the truth any longer. "I was hired by Karen," he blurted out. "She wanted to know who Hinata Hyuga was."
Itachi's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Karen who?" he asked.
The stalker hesitated, but the sharp edge of the knife pressed harder against his neck, and he knew he had no choice but to speak. "Karen, a teacher at the school," he said, his voice trembling.
"Why does she want to know about Hinata?" Itachi demanded, his grip on the knife tightening.
The stalker hesitated again, but the threat of the knife against his skin made him speak. "She noticed the way Hinata and Sasuke interacted in class. She suspected they had a relationship that went beyond that of a student and teacher," he said, his voice barely audible.
