Ring! Ring!
The pups of the Lookout, of the Paw Patrol, groaned, except for one, who was, of course, Chase. He always woke up SUPER early, as according to pretty much all the members of the Paw Patrol. After 5:30am, the German shepherd could be found running laps around the Lookout.
"Alright, pups, get up!" Chase was heard shouting into his megaphone. The pups groaned again and headed for the entrance of their puphouses.
"Morning, Chase," they each said as they exited their puphouses.
"Morning," Chase replied. "C'mon, let's go get breakfast."
This proposal was met by many "Sure"s and "I'm starving"s. They quickly made their way to the dining room, where Ryder was waiting for them, clutching two large bags of their favourite breakfast kibble, plus sausages.
"Alright Chase, who got up first this morning?" Ryder asked. They had made this their new way of who got served breakfast first: whoever got up the earliest got their meal first.
"Rocky," was Chase's reply. "Then it was Marshall, Skye, Zuma, and finally Rubble."
"You gotta step it up if you wanna get your breakfast first," Rocky laughed and he wolfed down his sausage. "And I wonder who's always starving?"
Rubble groaned. "Stop it, Rocky," he said. "It's just my tummy. It's whining for food, not me!"
Soon, the pups were all done eating and decided to go outside and play in the beautiful spring weather. Ryder decided to join them as well when he was done washing the dishes.
"What're you pups playing?" he asked them.
"Hide and Seek!" squealed Skye. "Zuma's seeking!"
"Oh, wait!" Ryder exclaimed, upon noticing something. "The mailbox is open. One sec, you guys."
The leader of the team walked over to the mailbox. Sure enough, there was a letter inside. It was from city hall. A message on the front said: Do not open until April 19.
"That's today. What could it be?" he muttered to himself. He quickly headed back to the pups.
"We got a letter from town hall," he announced, cutting their playing short. "Let's open it inside, together. It might be something important we all need to know. Come on, you guys can play later!"
"Okay," the pups all said, looking at each other curiously. What could the strange letter be about?
