Hinata stirred in her sleep, feeling the weight of something on top of her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Simba, their orange tabby cat, lying on her chest and purring loudly. She groaned, scaring him off her and sat up, feeling a little disoriented. As she looked around the room, her gaze fell on the clock on Sasuke's nightstand, and her eyes widened in alarm. She was late for school.

But then she noticed a note on the nightstand, written in Sasuke's neat handwriting. It read, "Hinata, stay home today and relax. You deserve a break after everything that's happened recently. Love, Sasuke." Hinata smiled at the thoughtfulness of her husband and turned to Simba, who was now looking at her with curious eyes.

She reached out and stroked his soft fur. "Looks like we have a day off, Simba," she said, her voice soft and gentle. Simba purred in response and rubbed his head against her hand. Hinata laughed at his affectionate gesture and got out of bed, feeling grateful for the unexpected day off.

As she made her way to the kitchen, she thought about what she could do to relax. Maybe she could read a book, take a hot bath, or even just watch a movie. But first, she needed to feed Simba.

She opened a can of cat food and scooped it into his bowl, watching as he eagerly devoured it. After he finished, she decided to make herself some breakfast and sat down at the table with a plate of eggs and toast.

As she ate, she thought about Sasuke and how lucky she was to have him in her life. Even though they had been through some rough patches, he always knew how to take care of her and make her feel loved.

Feeling content, Hinata decided to spend the rest of the day taking care of herself and enjoying the little things in life. And with Simba by her side, she knew it would be a good day. But despite enjoying her day, Hinata couldn't help but miss Sasuke's presence. She missed his warmth, his touch, and the way he made her feel safe and loved. She looked at Simba, who was now sleeping soundly beside her, and wished Sasuke was there with them.

Sasuke sat across from the principal, his jaw clenched with frustration. "So I heard what happened," the man said, looking back and forth between Sasuke and Karen.

"Sir, if I may," Sasuke began, his voice tight with anger. "Ms. Uzumaki has been harassing me since I arrived at this school, and her accusation that she saw something between a student and me is ridiculous. She even went so far as to have someone stalk that student."

The principal listened carefully, taking notes as Sasuke spoke. "I've heard from the student, but I also heard some things from Ms. Uzumaki," he said, looking up. "She claims that this student lives with you?"

Sasuke scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Sir, during the time that she claims to have seen something, the student was house sitting and cat sitting while I was visiting my father in the hospital with my wife," he said, his voice firm and unwavering

Karin laughed suddenly, causing both Sasuke and the principal to turn and look at her in surprise. "Oh, come on," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Do you really expect me to believe that story? It's obviously a cover-up."

Sasuke felt a surge of anger rise in him at Karin's dismissive tone. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his cool. "Believe what you want, Ms. Uzumaki," he said, his voice icy. "But the fact remains that I have no inappropriate relationship with any of my students."

The principal cleared his throat, sensing the tension in the room. "Ms. Uzumaki, I appreciate your concern for the well-being of our students, but I must remind you that making baseless accusations can have serious consequences," he said sternly.

Karin rolled her eyes but said nothing more. The principal then turned to Sasuke. "I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, Sasuke. I will take appropriate action to ensure that this does not happen again," he said, before dismissing them both.

As they walked out of the principal's office, Karin turned to Sasuke, a sneer on her face. "So, how did you explain to your wife why you rushed out from the hospital without her?" she asked, her tone dripping with malice.

Sasuke's expression hardened. "Hinata called me scared, so I came back to check on her," he said shortly, not elaborating further.

Karin raised an eyebrow, a look of skepticism on her face. "Right. And where is your wife now?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Sasuke gritted his teeth, feeling a surge of anger rise in him again. "That's none of your business, Ms. Uzumaki," he said, before turning and walking away, leaving her standing there alone.

Once Sasuke arrived home, he was greeted by Simba's excited purring as the feline rubbed itself against his legs. Sasuke stooped down to give him a few pets before calling out for Hinata. "I'm in the bath," came her reply from the bathroom.

Sasuke walked towards the bathroom and entered, taking off his clothes before stepping into the warm water behind his wife. Hinata leaned against him, her eyes closed in relaxation. "I spoke to the principal today. Karen hasn't been fired, but she has been given a warning," he said scoffing. "She should have been fired."

Hinata sighed, feeling frustrated. "Well, I only have one more year until I graduate. So I won't have to deal with her much longer," Hinata said.

Sasuke groaned. "That means you're leaving her with me to deal with," he said, sounding irritated. Hinata giggled and turned to face him, pecking his lips before grinning. "Hey, you married me, remember? For better or for worse," she said teasingly, making Sasuke chuckle despite himself.

Sasuke leaned in closer to Hinata, a smirk forming on his lips. "I'm pretty sure the 'for better or for worse' part was just a formality. You knew what you were getting into," he said cockily.

Hinata rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the smile on her face. "Oh, really? And what did I get myself into, exactly?" she asked, playing along.

Sasuke chuckled again, enjoying their playful banter. "Well, you married a genius, a prodigy, a man who's too cool for school," he said, emphasizing each point with a smirk.

Hinata laughed. "And a man who's incredibly modest, I see," she teased, before leaning in to kiss him again.

Sasuke deepened the kiss, his hand trailing down her back to rest on her hip. Hinata's arms wrapped around his neck as they continued to kiss passionately, the water sloshing gently around them.

Sasuke broke the kiss and pulled back slightly, his dark eyes locking onto Hinata's. "I love you," he said, his voice low and husky.

Hinata smiled, her eyes shining with affection. "I love you too," she replied, before leaning in to kiss him again.

Their intimacy grew more intense, their bodies moving closer together. Sasuke's hands trailed down her sides, while Hinata's fingers ran through his damp hair. They lost themselves in the moment, the sound of their breathing mingling with the soft splashing of water.

As they finally pulled away, panting slightly, Sasuke rested his forehead against Hinata's. "I'm the luckiest man in the world," he whispered, his hand gently caressing her cheek.

Hinata smiled, her heart full. "And I'm the luckiest woman," she replied, before leaning in to kiss him again.
