Sasuke stood at the front of the classroom, dressed in a crisp suit as he began his lecture on ancient civilizations. As he spoke, he noticed Kin was avidly taking notes and asking several questions. Sasuke couldn't help but be impressed by her enthusiasm for the subject.
Once the class ended and the students began to file out, Kin approached Sasuke with a bright smile on her face.
"Professor Sasuke, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your lecture today. It was so informative!" she exclaimed.
Sasuke nodded, pleased by her words. "I'm glad you found it useful, Kin," he said with a small smile.
As Kin turned to leave the room, Hinata suddenly showed up in front of him with her arms folded across her chest and a playful pout on her lips.
"Professor Sasuke, I see you've already found a new favorite student," she said teasingly.
Sasuke rolled his eyes, but couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. "Jealous, are we?" he asked with a smirk.
Hinata shook her head, but there was a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Maybe a little," she said, playfully poking his chest. "I can't have you giving all your attention to other students, you know."
Sasuke chuckled, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer. "Don't worry, Hinata," he murmured. "You're the only student who has my undivided attention."
Kin walks down the hall, a smile on her face and a flutter in her heart. She can't help but reach for her phone and send a message to Karin. "Karin, I think I've found the one," she types, tapping her phone against her chin as she walks down the hall. A few moments later, her phone dings with Karin's response. "Oh? Who?" it reads.
Kin quickly types out her reply, her fingers dancing across the screen. "Professor Sasuke," she sends, watching as the message changes from "sending" to "delivered." But just as she's about to put her phone away, she sees that Karin is calling.
"Hello?" Kin answers, keeping her voice low and whispery.
"Kin. For the love of god, tell me you're joking," Karin says urgently.
"Well, no," Kin replies, confused by her friend's reaction. "Why? What's wrong?"
"Stay away from him. Trust me, Kin, you do not want to be involved with him," Karin warns, her tone serious.
Kin's smile fades as she listens to Karin's warning. She feels her heart sink as she realizes that Karin isn't joking. "What do you mean? Why shouldn't I be involved with him?" Kin asks, her voice quivering slightly.
Karin lets out a sigh on the other end of the line. "I can't say too much, but just trust me on this, okay? Mr. Uchiha may seem charming and attractive, but he's not who you think he is," Karin says, her voice filled with concern.
Kin frowns, feeling frustrated and confused. She doesn't understand why Karin won't give her a straight answer. "Can't you just tell me what's going on? Why are you being so vague?" she asks, feeling a knot forming in her stomach.
"I'm sorry, Kin. I just can't say more than that. Just be careful, okay? Promise me you won't do anything reckless," Karin says, her voice firm.
Kin sighs, feeling a mixture of disappointment and frustration. She had been so excited about the possibility of getting to know Sasuke better, but now her enthusiasm has been dampened by Karin's warning. "Okay, I promise," she says reluctantly, before ending the call.
After the phone call ended, a wave of confusion washed over Kin. What could have transpired to make Karin so frightened, or to implore Kin to stay away? Kin pondered the words her friend had uttered, allowing them to resonate deeply within her. If Karin was genuinely afraid, perhaps it was prudent for Kin to heed her warning.
Two weeks had elapsed since the tumultuous events surrounding Karin, and a sense of calm was gradually settling in. Seeking to do something thoughtful for Hinata, Sasuke made arrangements to order sushi. As he made his way to pick it up, his mind couldn't help but drift back to their previous conversation about the need to keep their relationship hidden.
They knew that revealing their relationship would raise eyebrows and potentially invite scrutiny. Hinata was determined to carve her own path and excel on her own merits, without any suspicions of favoritism or special treatment. Additionally, they were well aware of the passionate and sometimes obsessive nature of Sasuke's fans, which added another layer of complexity to their decision.
While it was challenging at times to conceal their love and commitment from the world, they found solace in their private moments and the unspoken understanding they shared. The secrecy allowed them to focus on their individual aspirations and support each other's growth without the interference of outside opinions.
Arriving at the sushi restaurant, Sasuke collected the carefully prepared order, his thoughts still lingering on the reasons behind their hidden relationship. As he walked back home, the tantalizing aroma of the food filled the air, reminding him of the comfort and contentment he found in Hinata's presence.
Hinata's eyes lit up as she surveyed the array of sushi laid out before her, her mouth watering at the sight of the delicious morsels. She picked up her chopsticks, pondering which one to try first.
Sasuke watched his wife with a small smirk, amused by her indecisiveness. He knew exactly what she was going to do next - press the chopsticks against her lower lip as she weighed her options, before finally selecting one, only to second-guess herself and start the process all over again.
As predicted, Hinata repeated this pattern several times, causing Sasuke to chuckle quietly to himself. He then picked up a piece of sushi with his own chopsticks, dipping it into soy sauce before holding it up to Hinata's lips. She looked at the sushi in front of her face, eyes wide with anticipation, before finally taking it into her mouth.
A moan of pleasure escaped her lips as she savored the complex flavors of the sushi. Sasuke grinned at her reaction, pleased with the success of his impromptu sushi date. They may have been hiding their relationship from the public eye, but moments like these made it all worth it.
Hinata closed her eyes momentarily, relishing the explosion of flavors that danced on her palate. With a satisfied smile, she opened her eyes and met Sasuke's gaze. "Mmm, this sushi is amazing, Sasuke. Thank you for this lovely surprise," she expressed, her voice laced with genuine appreciation.
Sasuke leaned back in his chair, his own chopsticks poised in his hand. "I'm glad you're enjoying it, Hinata. You deserve the best," he replied, his voice warm and filled with affection.
"Oh! I completely forgot to mention. I'm planning to go to the mall with Sakura, Ino, Naruto, and I believe his new girlfriend will be joining us too," Hinata shared casually, grabbing another sushi roll and popping it into her mouth.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise flickering across his face. "So, that idiot is no longer worshiping the ground you walk on," he commented, his tone laced with a mix of curiosity and amusement.
Hinata chuckled at his remark, her laughter blending with the joyous atmosphere around them. "Well, no, Sasuke, and I don't think he ever had strong feelings for me," she responded, her voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia.
Sasuke studied her expression intently, his gaze piercing yet filled with understanding. "Are we talking about the same idiot?" he inquired, a playful glint in his eyes.
Hinata's laughter filled the air as she met Sasuke's playful gaze. She nodded, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Yes, Sasuke, we're definitely talking about the same idiot—Naruto," she confirmed, her voice tinged with fondness.
Sasuke shook his head, a smirk forming on his face. "Well, it's about time he realized that there's more to life than chasing after you," he remarked, his tone teasing yet genuine.
Hinata playfully nudged Sasuke's arm with her shoulder. "Hey now, be nice. Naruto's been a good friend, even if he had a bit of a crush on me back then," she said, her eyes reflecting a mixture of gratitude and nostalgia.
Sasuke placed his chopsticks down, his elbows resting on the table as he intertwined his fingers. His gaze locked onto Hinata, his voice laced with curiosity and a hint of underlying tension. "Surprising that he hasn't confessed to you yet," he remarked, his words hanging in the air.
Hinata's eyes flickered away, a small blush adorning her cheeks. She fidgeted with her chopsticks, trying to gather her thoughts before responding. "Funny you say that," she replied, her voice a soft murmur.
Sasuke leaned in, resting his weight on his hands as he probed further. "He did confess?" he inquired, his eyes searching hers for confirmation.
Hinata couldn't help but giggle, the sound light and filled with affection. "Yes, he did," she confessed, a nostalgic smile gracing her lips. "But I told him that I only saw him as a friend."
Sasuke's gaze intensified, his eyes burning into Hinata's. The weight of his question hung heavy in the air. "If we hadn't met, would you have chosen him?" he asked, his voice tinged with vulnerability.
Hinata's surprise was evident in her eyes as she locked her gaze with Sasuke's. "What? No!" she exclaimed quickly, her voice carrying a mix of astonishment and conviction. "Sasuke, there was never a doubt in my mind. From the moment I met you, my heart belonged to you," she assured him, her voice filled with unwavering certainty.
Sasuke hummed softly, a mix of relief and reassurance washing over him. He reached across the table, his hand finding hers, intertwining their fingers. "Good," he murmured, his voice filled with a gentle affection. "Because I can't imagine my life without you, Hinata."
