The synopsis for this 12 episode series about Shin Sung Han an off beat almost quirky, but brilliant piano professor in Germany, who returns to Korea and studied law to become a lawyer specializing in divorce. His motivation for his career change stems from his guilt for not being at his sisters side when she desperately needed him.
Through the 12 episodes he not only uncovers the truth to the divorce cases he takes but also the truth to his sisters death which reinforces his desire to save his nephew from the clutches of his over controlling stepmother and his inattentive father that let everything happen. Each case he takes ...from Lee Seo - Jin's divorce and child custody battle with her abusive over controlling husband…..shows how Divorce Lawyer Shin isn't afraid to to take on the almost impossible… The David vs Goliath mantra takes hold with the help of his long time friends Jong Hyeong _ Geun who works as his paralegal and Jo Jeong - Sik who maintains a real estate office in Sang Han's building.
The series deals with relationships …. How they where formed?…. How they went wrong?…. How they get mitigated? ….. How they get resolved? In most Kdrama 's the female lead in this case Lee Seo Jin would gradually form some kind of romantic link to the male lead, however the script writers failed to deliver even though they hinted to somewhat of a connection in episode 12. This implied connection is shown as Seo Jin talks to her son as they are eating pizza

Seo Jin: About going back on the radio…. I still can't make up my mind.

This connection further got implied when You Ju - Hye the BSN Radio producer and Seo Jin's friend goes to Sung Han to plead to him to convince Seo Jin not to miss this opportunity for her to make her comeback on the radio. It took a lot of convincing for Kim Won Hae to convince the station brass to give her that time slot and it won't come around that easily again. Yoo Ju- Hye has always felt responsible for introducing Seo Jin to Kang Hui Seop her twisted and abusive ex husband…. She belongs on the radio where she shined on her own merit … this fresh start will do her good.
Sung Han agrees and has his talk with Seo Jin as they sit on the steps in front of Jeong sik real estate office

The implied symbolism of placing the two cans with the label 2+ next two each other ….. shows that the scriptwriters have more in store for our two leads if only a second season where to be allowed….. for the moment only one's imagination can project what relationship will these two have…. Friends or Lovers… now that they understand each other .
Episode 13 - Where They Left off
The court decision
Judge: Decision….. The Respondent's parental rights over the petitioner shall be limited….among his parental rights over the Petitioner… the rights to protect, educate, designate residence and discipline along with others regarding his custody, shall be limited. As his Guardian… Shin Sung Han has duties as follows …. First submit a Guardian's report at the end of every year. With the court decision Sung Han is faced with the Guardian's responsibility to protect and educate. The notoriety of an Uncle winning custody over a parent has placed Gi- Yeong in a spotlight he doesn't need … Sung Han transfers him to another school where he isn't known …. There first morning

Seo Jin: How will the office manage all the new clients… I know you …you still haven't hired additional staff have you?… What makes matters worse you let Hyeong Geun go off with So Yeon
Sung Han: How do you know all this?
Seo Jin: I 've always multi tasked… So - Yeon was so excited that Hyeong Geun had agreed to go with her that she needed to tell someone…. We've become friends. …. So tell me … what do you plan on doing about your situation … Choi Jun is probably in a panic mode right about now.

Sung Han can't believe what is happening… The once shy and reserve Seo Jin is no more.

The first 12 episodes of the series showed the camaraderie between the three friends that stuck together through thick and thing… it was best shown in the words of Hyeong Geun when it appeared that Sung Han wouldn't win is custody battle for Gi Yeong…

Though the dynamics of the three friends is being tested as women and love begin interjecting into the mix of the friendship … the bond between them cannot be broken…. But their priorities take a different standing. Sung Han who has cherished his alone time with music and a good glass of wine finds himself feeling the pangs of loneliness when Gi Yeong has his weekend visitation with his father who has changed his outlook on parenting and giving the effort to be involved in his sons life. Seo Jin always gets nervous whenever Hyeon- U has to visit Kang Hui Seop ….. her ex husband who still maintains a grudge against her. She calls Sung Han

Seo Jin: You're full of surprises… thank you for bringing me….They eat and drink and talk more on a personal level rather than their usual conversation about the boys and the law office. The waiter comes and asks if they would like some lemon gelato to refresh their palate… which they agree.
Sung Han suggest a toast: To us…. Your company turned what would've been a lonely night into a night to remember.
Seo Jin: The night isn't over…. Can we walk and talk some more…
They find themselves by the waterfalls and streaming water way that divides the shops... this was the same place Sung Han found himself in Episode 2
Seo Jin: Running water has such a relaxing effect on me…. The wine helped, but the sound of the cascading water is so calming….. Do you like this place

They continue to walk and as in episode 2 they walk to where the piano that is under the walkway is…. The same piano that Choi Jun video recorded Sung Han playing that masterful concerto that got so many views
