Hey, I'm back. I have this in my profile, but my goal is to get around 70,000 plus words for this fic (I might not be able to finish the story in that amount, so maybe more). Hope I can reach it. I plan on adding more info on myself in my bio, and feel free to private message me. I'll answer all questions that don't give away what I'm planning. Hope you enjoy :)
Let's go.
Chapter 2: So I'm in a video game? So what
'Ughh' I tremble on a hard floor. Opening my eyes I see a dark rocky wall in front of me. Scratch that, all around me. I'm laying on it even. What is going on? Ugh my head hurts. I Sit up and examine my immediate situation. I'm in my same uniform and clothes, and I'm in a dome room with only one exit.
"W-what the hell," all I could think of was how I had ended up here. What happened? The last thing I could remember was . . . Rias's creepy grin. Yes, when I was falling down in the pit in that ruin it was the only thing I could focus on. Then everything went black, literally, and then I lost consciousness. Why am I in some cave? Luckily I can make out my surroundings really well due to being a devil.
"Partner, you're finally up."
"Yeah, where do you think we are?"
"No idea, all of my senses have been extremely dulled since you got here."
"Hey Ddraig?"
"Yes."
"Did you… see what Rias did to me?"
"Partner, I- well there is no way for us to find out if she really did send you here. There is time to be sad, and I get a feeling we don't have that time. We'll just have to find out."
"Y-yeah, I'll save the brooding for later first let's get out of here." Standing up I wander towards the exit and I enter the corridor. Walking into a long hallway I continue, passing by rocks and moss. At the end of the corridor there's a large turn. The smell in the air is slowly getting worse, it smells like blood, rotting meat and something else I can't discern. Continuing to cover my nose with my kuo uniform I walk faster. If I can't get out of here soon I'll never see another busty babe again.
'Croa' a weird croak echoed through the corridor. At the end of the corridor a blue frog stepped around the corner.
"What the hell!" This frog screams poisonous. It was around a meter tall and was bouncing around, then we locked eyes. As soon as it saw me it started to rush around the room. I decided to activate my boosted gear. B-boosted gear? When I saw my boosted gear I was extremely surprised. It wasn't my usual sacred gear, no it was in twice critical form. I thought that this situation couldn't get any worse, and the second those words were conjured in my mind, the frog spit poison at me. Leaping to the side the poison sped past my last position. And the frog jumped to the side and spit poison at me again. I ducked under the poison, and started to run towards the frog.
"Partner, dodge now!"
"Huh," the second Ddraig spoke the frog spit poison right at me. I dashed to the side but some of the poison hit my right arm and burned my skin.
*Boost* My twice critical boosted and power flowed through me. I had one boost remaining and not a lot of time to use it. The frog backed up, somehow it could sense I was more dangerous now. This reminds me of when I fought Raynare. Actually I feel about as weak as I was back then. This must be what Ddraig was talking about when he said he felt weak. I ran towards the right side of the frog. The frog spit a yellow ball at me this time, I already prepared to dodge another attack and jumped to the frogs left. Although the yellow attack missed I heard a faint sizzling like a freshly opened Sprite or Coke. Reaching the frog he spit at me again. Pushing all the power in my legs I jumped over the attack and the frog. On the other side of the frog I put my left fist up to my face. *Boost* My sacred gear rang out again. I forced my gauntlet into the skull of the frog. I could feel my body getting weaker and weaker starting from my right arm. When the frog got up again I could tell it was on its last leg, but I was too. Seeing as I only had a few moments left before my sacred gear left me weak and dry, I ready my gauntlet towards the frog. Knowing I barely had any strength left I focused all of my remaining power into my hand. I have never used this attack with only two boosts but this was all I could think of. If the light in my hand at the training grounds where I fought Kiba was about the size of a grain of rice, then this was about the end of a needle. With the light in my hand ready I launched my arm into the light taking aim at the frog. At the same time the frog spit another ball of whatever the yellow is at me.
*foosh* The dragon shot tore through the yellow liquid, it hit the frog inside the mouth and the frog was dead. At the same time the leftover yellow liquid splashed onto my body.
'AHHHH!' The pain was unbearable. But then I heard a different voice inside my head, one I had never heard before.

A red glow surrounded my body and I started to feel as good as new. When I opened my eyes nothing had changed, but when I looked at my right arm I could see that my arm had been healed completely.
"W-what the hell?" I was flabbergasted at that whole video game level up voice in my head.
"P-partner what just happened?" questioned Ddraig
"I-I don't know, after I killed that frog it just, I don't even know." I was speechless, I had been introduced to the supernatural world before but this was a new thing entirely.
"I think I l-leveled up."
"Y-yes, how strange. Partner, something seems to have affected your soul."
"What." Ddraig had just said something stupid. When I leveled up apparently it affected my soul.
"W-WHY!" I was freaked out, we had magic in my old world but a skill system that affects the soul, this is insane. Not even Sona-senpai could figure out something like this.
"M-my soul, isn't magic like that super complex?"
"Well it seems like data is being written on your soul. It's hard to discern anything apart from your name. But I can try to find out what it says."
"Thanks Ddraig, that makes me a little calmer."
"O-of course partner, you treat me with a lot of respect, so it's the least I could do."
"Well might as well continue."
"Yes."
I continued down the corridor, my healed body, stomach and mind filled my march.
An hour later
After my continued walking I felt an urge to rest. Laying on the rock floor I catch my breath, I had been walking for about 3.2 miles and I had gotten nowhere. I'm in a maze of monsters.
"Ugh god damn it."
"Partner?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you realize what you just said, out loud."
"What do you… wait WHAT! I said it right, we're not just hearing things right?"
"I do believe you did."
"GOD," after waiting for a jolt of pain for saying the tabooed name out loud, I felt astonished. All devil kind is not allowed to say God's name out loud but I just did it for no repercussions. This also brought up a lot of questions. God's system was supposed to affect all natural and unnatural realms. If so then where am I?
"Ugh first I'm in some dungeon with weird monsters and a long maze, next this dilemma. Let me solve the first one please, like give me a skill that lets me find out where I am.
Number of skill points to acquire Skill: [Appraisal Lv1] 100.
Acquire Skill?
"Huh," did the weird voice just speak again? And did it just say I could get what I was asking for? Hell yes, an appraisal skill might be my way out of here. It's a staple of all Isekai and Reincarnation anime and games.
"Yes!"
[Appraisal Lv1] Acquired.
Remaining Skill points:
My body trembled at those words 'Remaining Skill points'. I might be able to get a skill that could get me out of here.
0.
My spirit was crushed in an instant, zero really. Was 100 skill points really all I was worth.
"Partner, it did say skill points acquired when you leveled up."
Oh great, now I have to earn them, I just wanna go home. Deciding to at least try out my new skill I turn to a wall.
"Here goes nothing," I raise my arm and say "Appraisal".
'Wall'
"Really"
'Wall'
"Come on"
'Wall'
"God damn it" I spent all of my Skill points on a skill that doesn't even tell me anything, it better tell me more when it levels up or I'm gonna be super pissed. Raising my hand to myself I say the skill name out loud knowing what I'll get but trying anyway.
"Appraisal"
'Issei Hyōdō'
'Yep, it's just me,'
I'm hungry now, I hope there is something here that's not poisonous."
2 hours later
I have been walking and taking breaks for about 6 miles since I got appraisal, and nothing has happened just me walking. I can assume this is going to be some kind of pattern here. I'm starving, grumbling. I move on hoping anything edible is ahead. Making another turn I see a spider web, knowing that the creator must be nearby I activate my boosted gear in its twice critical form. On the other side of the web the owner comes back and spots me. It waits while it stands on its web, practically taunting me. After watching me for a moment it jumps to action trying to tangle me with its spider thread.
"Shit," I duck and dodge its attempts at ensnaring me, while I boost my abilities.
*Boost*
I don't have much room left to move, the area I just ran from is covered in spider webbing. The spider's still just sitting there, what's he gonna do next? The second my line of thought finishes the spider jumps off of its web towards me.
*Boost*
My sacred gear rings out for a second time, the spider mid air bites down in the metallic red sacred gear. Pushing the spider to the ground I use the most advantageous part of the Twice critical and push the yellow spike into the end of the spider. In defense the spider spits out webbing covering my leg. The spider thrashes around and gets lose of my grip. Trying to stand up My leg is stuck to the floor, and I have no choice but to defend myself while trying to wriggle out. The spider ran around me looking for an angle to attack from, when it did it ran towards me again. I stuck my gauntlet in front of me, when I did the spider dashed to the side and attacked my left arm with its fangs.
"Aggh," I punched the spider with my free arm, the spider left 2 holes in my left tricep.
.
.
I am super pissed, first I got sent to this cave by Rias for some reason I'm definitely going to find out. Then I had to walk for an hour, fought this poisonous frog that shot me with acid. After that I 'Leveled up' and was able to say God, which are both dilemmas on their own. After all these questions, I wanna beat this damn annoying spider.

Acquired Skill: [Anger Lv1].
"AHHHHH" I screamed whilest pulling my leg out of the sticky spider thread. My sacred gears center jewel started to grow brighter. My leg was still stuck. I needed to pull harder, I needed more power.
*BOOSTED GEAR: DRAGON BOOSTER!*
"HAAAA" My sacred gear changed forms into its second and natural form, the dragon booster form allows me to boost as much as I can handle, but none of the other abilities.
*Boost*
More strength came over me, and I was able to pull my leg free. Rushing towards the spider it tried running away, I kept pace and chased it down towards its spider webs. I pushed my power into my legs, the spider had closed the distance towards its spider web, it jumped up towards its home. I saw it jump and pushed all the power into my legs and grabbed its hind leg. Pulling back so as to not get caught in its web or let it get to the web, I slam the spider into the floor behind me.
*Reset*
After my attack the spider stopped moving, and all the power accumulated in my body left. I collapsed to the floor. I felt awful, I just killed a creature that was just defending its home. No, we both had our own reasons for this if I hadn't fought back I would have died and never gotten any answers. There's no use in feeling remorse in a fight where we both had our own stakes.
"Ugh I feel terrible," my body ached all over and I was exhausted. Damn was that as far as my stamina could take me. Accepting the embrace of the stone floor I laid in rest, hoping to wake up in an hour or so.
"Goodnight, Ddraig."
"Huh, yeah goodnight partner, good job."
With a smile at Ddraigs praise I fell asleep.
? ? ?
"Argh," Waking against the hard rocky floor for the second time, I groan as I roll onto my side.
"Ddraig?"
"Partner, you're awake, thank goodness."
"W-what's wrong with my arm?" I questioned Ddraig because my left arm looked weak, swollen and rotten. When I fell asleep after fighting the spider it had left a poison in my body that was slowly killing me.
"Partner you were poisoned, and apparently you have gained a poison resistance skill, it has helped you survive until now. I suggest we try to level up somehow so you can heal."
"Y-yeah." I pushed my right arm onto the ground, and could barely pull myself to my feet. The area around my left shoulder was numb, and I could barely feel my left arm.
*grrr*
A growling sound echoed from nearby.
"Partner, is there a monster?"
"I'm hungry." Looking at the corpse of the spider my gut stung with pain, knowing it was the only thing nearby I asked for advice from someone I could rely on.
"Ddraig, I need to eat this don't I."
"I don't think you have a choice."
"Damn it, do you know how I can make this any more edible?"
"Hmm, partner. You could try burning it with fire magic."
"Ddraig I don't have fire magic."
"Well, not with that attitude."
"Fine, I'll give it a shot."
Summoning my boosted gear, I raised my left arm with my right and boosted my power. After my second boost I tried to remember what Ddraig told me earlier.
During the 2 hour walk
"Hey Ddraig, you said I could conjure fire using my sacred gear as a conduit, right?"
"Yes, as I told you, you should be able to use your magic to form fire inside the jewel of the sacred gear, and then boost it, and fire it at will. With enough practice you should be able to wield it as well as your sacred gear. I have no doubt it will become a valuable tool."
"That seems tough."
" I have no doubt that you are capable enough to use such power as you are right now."
"Thanks Ddraig."
Back to present
Focusing all my might on turning my magic into fire in the jewel on my hand, I strain the rest of my body hoping to form any real kind of flame. All I could think was
"Please, I'm so hungry."
After all my efforts a little light shone from the jewel, a little spark had been lit in my gauntlet. Quickly putting my gauntlet towards the corpse I focus on keeping the flame steady, and slowly moving it outside of my jewel. The room quickly got warmer and the spider's corpse was quickly consumed by flames.

After a moment the flame went out and the entire body was burnt. Hoping my efforts weren't to waste, I unsummoned my sacred gear and grabbed a piece of the warm corpse. Hoping for the poison in the body to be weakened from the time and fire I took a bite of its abdomen.
"Bleehh" it was awful, I just wanted a nice meal from Asia or mom but this was the worst food I've ever tasted, and it was my only resort. It hurt but not in the spicy or sour kind of hurt, no like a stabbing my mouth with needles kind of pain. I swallowed the putrid food.

The pain in my body softened, but my hunger didn't. I took a second bite.
"Bleehh" it was just as bad as the first.
"Ergh" I swallowed more of the meat, I am slowly getting used to the taste.
Condition satisfied.

A while later
After finishing the spider, I sat up and looked around the room I was in. I looked at the spider, deciding to try and level up the skill I had gotten earlier. I tried it on the spider.
"Appraisal"
"Spider"
"Not even a level up, this is probably gonna take a while to level up." Although moving with poison in my body is a bad idea, it would be much worse to not find any enemies. I needed to heal at some point. Leaving the room I killed the spider and I continued down the maze.
"Hey Ddraig, any updates on the data being written on my soul?"
"No, it's gonna take some more information."
"Ok, I expected that much. Thanks."
"Yeah, I'll keep it up."
Heading even further into the maze I came across a cluster of small purple bugs. They looked like little snails, and they were moving around very slowly. Raising my right arm and activating my boosted gear I resolved to get rid of a decent chunk of these guys, but first.
"Appraisal." I stupidly put my hand out and hoped to only appraise one, but instead the voice said snail in my head 80 times.
"Agh, damn it!"
*BOOST*
"That's it, I'm sorry but if I don't do this I'm gonna die."
Using my new skill I pour all my remaining magic into a fireball. What came out was about the size of a softball, so just a bit bigger than a baseball. Forcing the ball to shoot out from my hand, it hits a snail and shoots out all the condensed flames inside of it. The fire slowly takes over the congregation of snails.

A second red glow surrounds me and my body is filled with strength, parts of my skin peel off and underneath is fresh wound less skin.
"Ugh," putting my arm down I groaned at the stress leftover on my mind, I was very close to dying there. If I had waited any longer the poison likely would have killed me. Luckily I leveled up just now. I had killed about 26 snails with that one fireball, the rest of the snails started to flee. Well, not that I really need to kill anymore. They have hard shells but still wouldn't other monsters snack on these guys? Well whatever it's not like I should know what goes on in a monster's mind anyways. I need to get somewhere safe, wandering around I follow a passageway and come across another spiderweb with exits, windows and escape routes. Some monster's must be more intelligent than others, I head the other way not wanting to get in another fight so soon. Heading back the way I came I follow a different path. Getting to an area with only one exit and entrance much like the area I started in, I piled up a lot of rocks and dirt at the entrance to act as a sort of shelter. While picking up rocks and putting them down at the entrance I got another skill.

Acquired Skill: [Strength Lv1].
Apparently I can get skills from just exerting myself in training related activities. I'm definitely going to spend time maxing my abilities, although I'd like to get out of here soon I will likely come across some stronger monsters. Also, there's also the possibility I'm not in the world I was in. I mean the questions are just piling up.
3 hours later
"Haaa!" Currently I am working out with these rocks, I've been lifting them and dropping them. I'm trying to increase my strength skills level, and I haven't made any progress. I've gotten used to the largest rock nearby, it's only about 15 lbs and it's hard to grab or hold onto.
"Grr uhh," alright I need a break, I still want to level up some skills but what? Oh I know magic, I need heavier weights that are easier to grab so earth magic is the way to go. Walking up to the wall I place my hand on it and slow my breathing.
'Calm Calm Calm' I say in my mind while slowing my breathing and steadying my hands. Once I'm in a calm state I try to push some of the magic in my body into the wall, I want the wall to cave away into a disk shape. Feeling the magic flow into the wall I try to shape it with my mind and will. After trying my hardest I open my eyes, the wall just looks distorted. There's no rock, just a messed up wall with large dents in it. Damn that got me nowhere. Then I have another idea: picking up a rock. I set it down in a clear area. I place my hand on the rock just focusing on making the rock break off in small places, slowly the rock flakes off and I'm left with a small disk.

1 hours later
I'm hungry, and that means I'm gonna have to eat another monster. I hope whatever I find is at least somewhat edible. Wandering through the exit I follow the right wall until I find a monster, on the path just ahead there is an extremely large looking mouse. The mouse is creeping through the halls looking around, it seems lost. The mouse approaches and I get a better look at it, I ready my boosted gear and whisper appraisal at it.
"Mouse."
"GREECH!" The second I activate my skill the mouse's fur sticks up and it notices my location, so much for sneak attacking it.

"Wow, great timing. Appraisal!"
"Elroe Greym."
"Wow a name so help, Shit." The Greym tried to bite me, I kicked the underside of its jaw and it rolled a short distance away.
*BOOST*
My sacred gear rang out, and I dashed towards the mouse with my gauntlet in front of my charge. The mouse dashed to my right, I stopped as quickly as I could and placed my gauntlet in the way of its bite. *Chink* The Greym put all its power into its bite but its teeth cracked as they hit my boosted gear. I waved the rat off of my arm, the rat was badly hurt by the fall, it scraped its leg and its feet looked hurt too.
*BOOST*
I placed my hand out and conjured a flame in my hand. it was less forced than last time, but it felt as if something had made it for me. Condensing the flame I acted like it was a ball and threw it at the injured Greym. The ball of fire hit the Greym and spread across the fur of the rat, the rat struggled in the flame but eventually it embraced its death and died.

Skill: [Concentration Lv1] Acquired.
Wow, I didn't think there would be skills for something as simple as concentration, but apparently there are. I should check for different skills more. Picking up the dead Greym I walk back into my base. I set down the Greym's corpse to prepare it for eating. Using advice I had gotten from Ddraig I cut up the Greym with the boosted gears long pointy spike. After getting all the edible meat out I cook it over some fire with my sacred gear. Taking a bite the meat tastes gross and unseasoned, but that was expected. I mean it's a rat in a dungeon, it wasn't gonna taste good no matter what.
?
A man in dark armor could be seen, several horns were sticking out towards the front of his armor, his helmet's mask was off and you could see his determined eyes. He was standing in a pocket dimension with a man wearing black armor with horns pointing upwards on his helmet and a red cape. You could see his face, his red eyes gleamed as he stared at the man across from him.
"Why did there have to be two of you, why couldn't that foul creature just stop interfering in our world, and of all things you'd rise to our plain. This goes against the will of lady Sariel, and after both of you used up all that energy, and now you're trying to save her. Just let her die, let her follow the path she chose, this is what lady Sariel wants!" The man with red eyes yelled at the man across from him.
"I'm sorry."
"What?"
"We've caused you a lot of trouble, it was never our intention to become this way but here we are. But still, we're going to save Goddess Sariel, and I'm going to defeat you!" Then the two men broke out into a fight.
