"Cam?" Shelby questioned as she held up the outfit she had found on her bed and gave him a curious look. There was no one else that would lay out an outfit for her. "We going somewhere other than the coffee shop tonight?"

"I thought it would be good for us to do something else," Cameron said as he stood up and she took in the dress slacks and button down shirt. He rarely dressed this way, but she was so glad that he cleaned up well. "But we can just do coffee if you want."

"No, I'll…how long do I have to get ready?" Shelby asked as Cameron chuckled as he shook his head. "Caaaaam- I've been in clinicals all day. I'm pretty sure I have bodily fluids on me somewhere."

"We don't have to leave for another hour," Cameron said as he walked over and pulled her in for a quick kiss. "Go. Get ready."

"Coffee shop get too pedestrian for you?" Brandon asked as he announced himself after Shelby had disappeared into the back and Cam nodded. "Good. I think Julia was about this close to having a discussion about how you should take her somewhere else every once in awhile."

"I don't know what kind of budget Julia thinks I have…" Cameron trailed off as Brandon motioned to the Command Center and he grimaced. "She may have a point- usually Shelby has some crazy early class the next morning, but that class is canceled this week. Why am I explaining this to you?"

"Explaining what?" Julia asked as she walked in and dropped her book bag on the floor. She then looked up and did a double take. "Did someone die?"

"No. I'm just taking Shelby out somewhere different," Cameron said as he looked down at his clothes and then back up at her. "Does it really look like I'm headed to a funeral?"

"Let's see…I've only ever seen you in jeans, t-shirts, the occasional button down, gis, and ranger gear. This isn't something you've ever done before," Julia stated as she motioned for him to do a twirl and he just shook his head. "Fine. Y'all have a good night- I have to go study for an exam I forgot about."

"So…are we just going to pretend like you and Patrick aren't trying to figure out which one of you has dibs?" Cameron asked as Brandon just shook his head. "What?"

"I may be wrong- but one Power Ranger couple per team seems like it is just the right number," Brandon replied as Cameron gave him a questioning look. "And I've got it on pretty good authority that she's not interested in dating right now. Something about always picking men that turn into crazy ex-boyfriends."

"Shelby?" Cameron asked as Brandon shook his head. "Kimberly."

"Yeah, not sure what it really means, but also not going to touch that with a ten foot pole. Have a good time, I'm gonna be late for the 'not quite ready to be an advanced student' class," Brandon said as Cameron nodded and then looked around the Command Center before he took a seat on one of the couches. He hoped he wasn't going to be sitting here for an hour, but he also had really wanted for this to be a surprise. It was something that he rarely got to do with her anymore.

"Hey…ready to go?" Shelby asked as she jogged back into the main bay and Cameron looked up at her. He had seen her in this outfit before, but he didn't realize how much a little make up and some excitement would change everything. "Cam…"

"Yeah, you look great," Cameron said as he gave her a quick squeeze and then grabbed his communicator. "Hold tight."

"What…where are we going?" Shelby asked as Cameron just shook his head and she held on tight before she felt the two of them teleporting away. When they landed she glanced around and saw that they were standing in the middle of London. "Cam- how? Did Dr. O agree that this was fine?"

"I didn't really ask. And we have tickets to a show, come on," Cameron said as he grabbed her hand and pulled her along. He had managed to teleport them only a couple of blocks away from the Royal Ballet and while he was angling for brownie points, he also knew that she had wanted to see them for years.

"Cam. How? When?" Shelby asked as she stood in front of the building and stared over at him.

"How- the internet. When- about two weeks ago when you told me your classes were canceled tomorrow," Cameron supplied as he walked up to the box office and handed them their tickets. "Babe- just enjoy it. We've got one night where we are able to be off duty and you deserve it after the last several months."

"How can you guarantee that we're off duty?" Shelby asked as they were ushered into the hall and she stared up at the ceiling. "How…"

"Talked with Dr. O- he agreed that we deserved an evening where they don't call us and he agreed that there will be no calls tonight," Cameron said as she locked eyes with him and then leaned up to give him a quick kiss before she turned back to the room. He watched the excitement on her face and knew this was worth the months that he had planned and listened and looked for an opportunity to surprise her. Was this something he enjoyed? No, but it was something that made her happier than he had seen since she had gotten her prophetess powers and that meant the world to him.

"That was amazing," Shelby said as they walked out into the cool night air and she spun around to face him. "I still can't believe we just…that we did this."

"It's one of the few things you've talked about over and over. And I just…I don't know…I thought that this isn't something that you should wait for graduation so that it can happen," Cameron said as she beamed up at him and he smiled. "Want to go see Big Ben? Westminster Abbey?"

"I don't know that it's safe…" Shelby trailed off as Cameron crossed his arms and motioned to his communicator. "Okay, fair point, but I'm not sure we want to cause an international incident."

"We only live once, Shel. C'mon- there's a metro line nearby that'll get us there," Cameron said as she just shook her head and then grabbed his hand to follow along. She had never expected this kind of date, it wasn't something that was Cameron's thing, but he knew that this was her thing and that made it all the more special.
