Dastardly Actions

Even before the window cracked open, Percy heard the commotion happening outside the station. There were people in this town crazy enough to storm her Police Department but she knew most of them. Hell she was more or less friends with most of them. Which might not make her the best in her field but there have been no incidents so far.

"There's my girl!" Zora's voice boomed through the office as she cracked the window open and jumped inside with the precision of someone who had done it many times before, "Your lackeys are slacking off, just so ya know." The cowboy criminal closed the widow behind her and lowered the curtains, just to make sure they weren't being watched.

"Zora." There was a brief moment of tension before Percy sighed and let go of the hilt of her sword, picking the file she'd been going through instead, "What is it this time?"

"What is it? Can't I just want to see my girlfriend?" Girlfriend. Yet another thing that made Percy a questionable choice for police detective. It would be another thing if Zora was a double agent but the only thing Zora was agent of was chaos, and one of the most wanted ones at that. "Why don't you give me some sugar, huh sugar?" Zora walked over to Percy's desk and leaned against it with her elbow, lips puckering for a kiss.

For a moment Percy's grip ruffled the file in her hand, "I am at work. That would be unprofessional of me."

Zora barked out a laugh, "And kissing each other off the clock isn't? You're so funny sometimes darlin'!" This was no laughing matter for Percy at all, but Zora found their situation all too funny. Maybe that's the reason she always teased the detective about it, well that and that attractive, slightly judgemental expression Percy always looked at her with when she was being teased.

It took all that Percy had not to try and deny the fact that she fact that on some level she did enjoy Zora's teasing. Her company offered her a break from all the seriousness of her job, a job that she loved mind you, one that she was, as Zora put it, married to. But every now and then, if only for a few hours it felt good to not be Percy the detective, but just Percy.

"One kiss. That will be all." Percy put the file down, summoning Zora closer immediately.

"That is all that I'm here for."

"Hold on a moment." Percy paused, "You caused all that commotion outside just because you wanted a kiss from me?"

Zora shrugged, not seeing the problem here, "I've done worse for far less, which I'm sure you know."

"I am aware." One kiss, just one, and then Zora would be on her way. Unless, "Would you like to go to my place after this. I can make us something to eat."

"Na-uh. If we're having diner together then I'm the one who's cookin'. I ain't drinking your butter water again. I love you Percy, but not that much." Didn't matter really, Zora would eat all the horrible cooking if it meant she could call Percival King her girlfriend. Even behind closed doors.
