Huge crossover. The Spider-Man characters in this are not from any specific comic, movie, or game.
Enjoy.
There are many heroes in the world, they come in all types of people and workers. Firefighters, doctors, teachers, and police officers.
But one would argue about there being heroes who went beyond what those people did. These were called superheroes.
Ah yes. Out of the pages of Marvel and DC comics, superheroes did exist. Superheroes were a huge part of American culture thanks to films like the Dark Knight and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Their fanbase were huge and many were passionate above their love for superheroes.
But superheroes weren't real, they were only characters created for the comic books and movies they appeared in. (Hint hint)
But what if I were to tell you, that in this story, there was one superhero. Arguably the second most popular superhero in the world.
Yes, of course I'm talking about…
"I, am, Spider-Man Woohoo!"
Yelled the wall crawler himself, yes. It truly was him, Spider-Man. The teenage superhero with the powers of a spider, with abilities like shooting webs, crawling on walls, and having the sense of a spider.
When Peter Parker was sixteen years old, he went on a field trip to a science lab and was bitten by a radioactive spider. This resulted in him gaining his super powers. And ever since then he devoted half of his life to his alter ego, Spider-Man.
Peter had faced many villains throughout his life, saved many lives, and been through hard moments. Like the death of his Uncle Ben.
His uncle had left him what Peter would call the most important advice he had ever been given.
With great power, comes great responsibility.
Now Peter Parker was no longer a high schooler, but a 19 year old man. Continuing to fight crime and balance out life being a superhero and a man with a part time job.
Spider-Man was a beloved superhero across the world, he arguably had the biggest superhero fanbase on Earth.
From comic books to movies to shows to video games and merchandise. Almost everybody has heard of Spider-Man in some way, shape, or form.
So what was he doing in a story about fighters from across dimensions?
Spidey was swinging with his webs from building to building, running on the walls and spinning with ease in midair.
But one thing to note was that he was chasing down somebody, one of his archenemies.
The Green Goblin.
"HAHA!" The goblin laughed while riding on his hover board, holding a rainbow ball in his hands. "Give it up Spidey! You'll never catch me! AGH!"
He yelled as Spider-Man shot a web under his hover board, swinging up toward the villain and landing on his board.
The wall crawler grabbed onto the goblin by wrapping his arms around him and attempting to shake him off.
"Sorry Norman." He said as started trying to grab the ball in his hands. "But you're fought has been cancelled.
"Rrraaagh!!" The villain exclaimed as he pushed Spider-Man off, taking out a pumpkin bomb next. "Sorry Peter, nothing personal! Hahaha!"
He then threw his arm forward towards the falling superhero, blasting away on his hover board.
The goblin let out a sigh. "Finally shook him off, eh?"
The villain noticed something that he hadn't noticed when he threw a pumpkin bomb at Spider-Man. Or he thought he had thrown one of his orange bombs at him.
So if he did, why was he holding a detonating pumpkin bomb in his hand?
The goblin's eyes widened, he threw the rainbow ball at Spidey instead.
"Oh!!" He stomped his foot. "Dammit!!"
Meanwhile Spider-Man was falling towards the ground, if he didn't do something he could be in for a lot of pain.
"Woah! Woah!" He yelled. "Alright alright, it's alright Spidey. Just shoot a web and—"
He tried shooting out a web, but nothing came out.
This made his eyes widen.
"Oh crap." The superhero said as something falling towards him caught his eye, the rainbow ball that Green Goblin had. "Hmm, maybe that might do something."
He began positioning his body towards the rainbow ball, reaching his hands out before he could hit the ground.
He finally caught it, making sure it didn't leave his grasp at any moment.
"Got it! Now I've just gotta figure out how this thing even works." The wall crawler rapidly shook the rainbow ball, staring at it. "Okay so it's not an 8 ball. Ah!"
He yelled as he was about to hit the ground, closing his eyes and holding the ball towards the ground.
He thought that this would be the end.
But the ball hit the ground, shattering into multiple pieces while creating a flash of flames.
The flames consumed Spider-Man, before the became smaller and the wall crawler completely disappeared.
All that remained on the ground were the glass shards left by the ball. But something to note was that their was a symbol on the crystal ball.
It was a black cross. Meaning that whatever that crystal ball was made for, it meant that it was connected.
To Super Smash Bros.
The Smash Mansion…
Ah yes, the Smash Mansion. Home of Super Smash Bros and it's many fighters, we've already explained what it is in many stories of the past. So I will leave it there.
It was about 4:25 a.m in the mansion, in the United States of America and eastern time.
Most of the residents would absolutely be asleep by now, but not all of them.
"*Yawn*. Mmm, I'm starving."
Said Melia Antiqua, princess of the High Entia race and the mansion's newest resident. After revealing that she was pregnant, and that Shulk was the father.
She had a broken heart at first, believing she had messed up Shulk and Fiora's future. But alas, the two had broken up in this universe.
As Master Hand has said, there are many universes out there. More than just the one we all live in, essentially there is an infinite amount of different dimensions.
Why was Melia awake at this time though? Ah yes, because if cravings.
When women enter pregnancy, they experience many things. Including morning sickness, stomach pains, hormones, and cravings. When a woman is craving a certain food, wether it be strange or not.
The princess, now empress was looking for ice cream. It had become a favorite of hers ever since she moved into the manor and she loved sharing it with Fiora.
She still hadn't quite gotten used to the entirety of the mansion, but living a long part of her life in a palace made things easier for her.
She finally arrived in the kitchen, heading straight for the freezer. She opened it up in anticipation of finding an ice cold treat in a cup.
"Hmm, that's odd. I swore it was in here." Melia continued moving around ice packs or bags of frozen vegetables, still unable to find any sigh of her ice cream. "Where is it?! I'm getting frustrated now!"
"Delicious."
The High Entia immediately turned around to see another figure in the dark, walking in the kitchen.
She quickly went over to the light switch and turned it on to catch the culprit.
As soon as the lights came on she was shocked to see who it was. Standing right there in a bathrobe, with Melia's Ben and Jerry's cup in one hand and a spoon in the other.
The Homs' eyes widened upon seeing her best friend, as she slowly put the spoon away from her mouth.
"Um…hey Melia." Fiora said, seeing that her friend was in shock. "Sorry I uhhh, got a little hungry."
"Is that the last cup of ice cream?!" Melia walked towards her in slight anger. "You know I wanted that!"
Fiora out her hands up. "I'm sorry Melia! I should've remembered that you love ice cream, I'm sorry I made you mad."
The High Entia's face slightly eased. "No, no I'm sorry Fiora. I shouldn't have talked to you like that."
"Do you want to share?" Fiora took another spoon out of her pocket, as Melia stared at it. The empress then smiled.
"Yes, I'd love that."
A few minutes later…
The two from Bionis were now sitting on the front porch of the mansion. sharing the cup of ice cream and enjoying it.
"Mmm, this flavor is my favorite." Melia said as she took the spoon out of her mouth. "What's it called again?"
"Phish food." Fiora answered her friend's question. "It's a popular flavor here in America."
Melia looked at her in the eyes. "America? So that's what this place is called." The empress looked out to the night sky, seeing the stars and the moon. The moon would soon set and the sun would rise in a few hours. "This earth, it's a lot different from ours isn't it?"
Fiora nodded her head. "It is, it's different from all of our home worlds."
"Do you think you'll ever meet Nikol?" The princess asked. "Since…you know. He's you and Shulk's son."
The Homs crossed her arms, looking down at the table. "I don't know, given how our enemy has been manipulating dimensions I wouldn't be surprised if we met them at some point. Do you think we'll ever meet your daughter?"
Melia froze for a second before putting her spoon down. "A daughter? My daughter? I…don't know. Who knows what other worlds and dimensions there are?"
Fiora smiled. "I know, it's bizzare to say the least. But with what we've all been doing, I'm sure everything may go back to normal soon."
The High Entia princess let out a small laugh. "I'm hoping you're right."
The two looked off to enjoy the sight seeing if the stars once again, there was truly nothing like watching the beautiful stars in the sky.
But Fiora saw something else in the sky, what appeared to be a rainbow flame. Descending through the dark sky.
"Um…Melia do you see that?" The Homs pointed at the flame in the sky, catching the attention of her best friend.
"Yeah, it looks sort of like a shooting star." She squinted her eyes. "And it's coming.."
"RIGHT TOWARDS US!!" Fiora yelled as the two quickly got up from the chair and ran towards the front door, as the Homs held Melia's hand tightly.
The rainbow flaming crashed right into the porch of the mansion, luckily nothing was set on fire but it did put a huge hole in the porch.
A few minutes later…
There was still smoke emitting from the hole, before a red hand with black thin spiderwebs decorating it came out and grabbed the ground.
"Woo!" Spider-Man pulled himself out, doing a front flip and landing in a crawling position. Before he stood back and dusted his hands off. "Surprised I even stuck the landing, feel like my transportation was a little too hot for my taste."
The wall crawler glanced around his area, as confused about his whereabouts. "Where am I? Doesn't seem like NYC anymore."
Spidey then heard a gasp, causing him to quickly turn around. Where he saw Melia and Fiora standing and staring right at him.
"Who…are you?" Melia asked.
His eyes slightly widened, before he scratched the back of his head. "Uhhh, I could ask the same of you two. I mean you've got wings on your head, I know a captain with those on his helmet."
Melia touched her wing, as it moved. "I assure you that they are real."
"Oh." He nodded. "Well uhh, would either of you mind telling me where I am? Or who any of you are?"
Fiora and Melia looked at each other, before nodding.
"I'm Melia Antiqua, empress of the High Entia race."
"And I'm Fiora, a Homs from Bionis." Fiora introduced herself. "And who might you be?"
Spider-Man jumped up to a higher level of the pitch, holding onto it with his hand. "Well I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Acting a bit proud of his title.
Both the girls from Bionis just looked at each other, seeming unimpressed by his introduction.
The wall crawler blinker, jumping back onto the porch. "Come on, you never heard of me? I'm uhh…a little famous. I'm…king of a superhero?"
"A…superhero? Spider-Man?" Melia asked out of confusion. "I believe an insect would be one of the last things classified as super."
"Hey!" He exclaimed. "Spiders are arachnids for your information, not insects. And yeah, you two have seriously never heard of me? What is this place? I landed here after running out of webs."
Fiora turned back to the mansion, pointing at the symbol in the front. "This is the Smash Mansion, we all live here."
"It's a where all of the fighters of a Super Smash a Bros live."
The three looked to the balcony above them, where someone jumped right off of it.
It was the famous plumber himself, Mario. Dressed in his blue overalls and iconic red hat. He never usually got up this early during the day, he even looked wide awake with a smile across his face.
Spider-Man's eyes widened upon looking down at the plumber. "Woah, are you actually Mario?"
The plumber dusted his shoulder off. "Yup, it's a me. A Mario himself, it's a bit late for you to be a here though. Who are a you?"
The superhero crossed his arms. "Spider-Man, the real one."
Mario raised his eyebrow in response. "Oh a really? Prove it then! Shoot a web!"
Spider-Man put his hand out in his iconic finger position, shooting outs web that hit the bottom of the balcony.
He swung towards it and flipped onto the balcony, sticking to the wall with his hands and feet. Making Mario's eyes widened.
"I thought you ran out of webs." Melia pointed out, receiving a shrug from him.
"Eh, sometimes has a cool down."
"Oh…I guess a you are Spider-Man." He said before glancing at the hole, making his eyes bulge out. "Where'd a that hole come from?!"
"I was gonna tell you that." Spidey gained their attention. "I was back in New York City chasing down the Green Goblin, he stole something of value from a research lab. So I tried stopping him, but when I got on his hoverboard he threw the item at me and I grabbed it while falling. Then it broke and I crashed into your mansion, ending up here."
The three stared at him, that sounded like quite the story. And not many people would believe a story like that. I mean, who can blame them? Who would believe a story about Spider-Man crashing into your front porch?
"That's quite a story, did you happen to come from another dimension?" Fiora asked.
"You mean like a multiverse?" The superhero jumped right off of the balcony. "I mean I wouldn't be surprised, I've been through some multiverse shenanigans before. You guys have too?"
Mario gave a nod. "Our a enemy is gathering our enemies from a different universes and a dimensions. Maybe that's how you ended up here."
"Sounds like a job for Spider-Man!" He jumped back and landed on the roof. "But first, I'd like to web around and catch some food. See ya!"
He shot out a web by a streetlight and swung away, shooting out web after web across town. While the three residents watched him do so. "WOOHOO!" He yelled.
Mario blinked. "Wow, now it's a Spider-Man huh? What's a next?"
"What should we do?" Fiora looked down at him with her hands behind her back. "Do you think he'll come back?"
"Let's hope." Mario tilted his hat down, walking back to the front door. "He could a be helpful aftera—"
That's when his eyes widened.
"AH DARN IT! I forgot to ask a for his autograph!"
Part 2 coming soon…
