Hey everyone! What's up!?

So we got our first information about the upcoming Knuckles show, with the premise and the cast list and I got to say… To be honest I am a little disappointed that it's going to take place between the second and third movies and it's just going to be about Knuckles teaching Wade. I really wanted the show to focus on Knuckles' life growing up before he appears in the second movie.

However I guess we will get some flashbacks and I guess the content from the show will be a good lead up to the third movie.

Anyway, looking at the cast list, I noticed a few characters will not be appearing, namely those who voice/play Sonic, Tails, and Tom and well I thought maybe there is a reason why they won't be appearing. So that brought about this idea!

So without further ado…

Chapter 1: Off We Go

Today was a very sunny and bright day in the town of Green Hills, Montana, perfect to go out for a road trip and then maybe some camping somewhere else in the forests and mountain ranges of the Northwest. And that is exactly what a few were going to do as they were finishing up packing everything needed for a camping trip in a pickup truck. And they were not what one would call a normal group of individuals as well two of them were rather colorful talking animals.

"You got it Tails?" One of them, a blue hedgehog, asked as said individual was carrying something rather heavy for him, putting it in the back of the truck.

"Yeah, I got it Sonic." Tails, a yellow, two tailed fox, answered as he wiped his forehead. "Man, I can't wait for us to go on this trip, it's going to be so much fun."

"Yup, just us and the donut lord having some good old quality bonding." Sonic commented as he then felt someone lick his arm as Sonic looked to see a golden retriever wagging his tail. "Oh right, you too Ozzy…"

Meanwhile, at the front door of the house were Tom and Maddie, as well as a red Echnida, who looked like he was staying behind. Tom looking over a checklist to make sure they had everything they needed for this camping trip.

"Looks like I got everything and the boys look like they just finished packing." Tom smiled. "I guess it's time we finally hit the road."

"Well, I hope you boys have fun bonding with each other and stay safe." Maddie advised.

"I'm more worried about leaving town and Wade in charge, he didn't quite handle things too well last time I left him…" Tom sighed as he remembered when he and Maddie went to Rachel's wedding.

"It'll be fine and I got Knuckles here to not only keep me company, but keep the town extra safe." Maddie turning to the red Echnida.

"That's right Tom, I swear on a warrior's honor, this town will be safe." Knuckles added.

"Well okay, but it is still a shame you won't be coming along Knuckles." Tom replied as he turned to Sonic and Tails. "You boys ready to go on a memorable trip?"

"More than ready." Tails answered as he flew up and into the back of the truck with the packed camping equipment.

"You sure you don't want to come knucklehead, we could sure use some of your strength." Sonic called out to his friend. "Last chance to enjoy some quality male bonding.

"I'm sure." Knuckles called out. "Farewell."

"Have a good trip and don't worry about us." Maddie called out too as Tom hopped into the driver's seat while Ozzy took the seat next to Tom while Sonic climbed into the back and joined with Tails as the two friends just relaxed and laid back.

"Everyone comfortable and excited?" Tom asked to the back to Sonic and Tails as he patted Ozzy's head."

"Oh yeah." Sonic more than ready to get a move on as Tails gave a similar answer as Tom started the truck and left the driveway of the house, driving through town and out of it.

Meanwhile Sonic and Tails were just enjoying their time in the back of the truck, looking up and around the sky and countryside. To Sonic, this brought back memories of when he first met Tom, of course it wasn't a road trip, but rather the two were on the run from Robotnik. However Sonic did have some fun, especially when they stopped at a Roadhouse and had a crazy night.

"So what are you most looking froward to doing Sonic?" Tails asked his friend.

"Probably sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmallows and sharing spooky stories." Sonic answered. "However being with you and Tom is always great." Sonic smiled.

"I'm looking froward to just hiking, or I guess I'll just hover along with you guys, it's going to be great to just enjoy the outdoors." Tails thought as well living with Sonic in Tom's house, he came to appreciate the beauty of the area. "Hey Tom, what about you?" Tails asked Tom, who was up front.

"I don't know, just spending time with my boys here, just looking froward to all the fun we're going to have." Tom answered as had one hand on the steering wheel and the other patting Ozzy from time to time. "Just wished Knuckles wanted to come too."

"Well you know that knucklehead can be quite stubborn, but Tails and I can handle unpacking." Sonic shrugged his shoulders. "And besides more time with my best friend here." Sonic referring to Tails.

"Speaking of which, want to play some card games Sonic?" Tails requested.

"Sure thing pal, just don't use your tails to grab mine and cheat." Sonic warned his pal.

"And don't use your speed either Sonic." Tom, who heard the two, told Sonic.

"What no…" Sonic replied nervously. "When have I ever done that?"

"You don't remember we played Twister last time." Tom reminded Sonic, who blushed red in embarrassment while Tails chuckled a little.

Tails took out a pack of cards he had in his backpack, shuffling them first before he laid them out for him and Sonic while Tom continued on with driving down the rather quiet country road. It was a great start to what the three, plus Ozzy, would hope to be a wonderful and memorable experience…

Only did they realize that their troubles would start before they even would get to the camping spot…

And I'll leave it there for next time!
