Izuku POV:

I awoke to the sound of my alarm going off. Today was the first day back to classes. So, I wanted to get there earlier. It was also so I could stop the rest of my class from confronting Uraraka and Iida. Knowing the group, they would want to get back at the two earlier than tonight. I assume that's when everyone plans on playing Truth or Dare in the main common room.

As I finish getting dressed. I heard a ping from my phone.

'I wonder who that could be?'

Dadzawa: We need to talk before class. Can you come over to the teacher's dorm building and meet me at my place?

Problem Child: Yeah of course! You caught me right as I just finished getting ready. I'll be over in ten.

I was quick to grab my schoolbag and put my phone in my pocket before making my way out of my room. As I walked passed the kitchen, I heard humming. With my curiosity picked, I backtracked my steps and took a peek inside. Standing by the stove baking muffins, was Kami. He was quietly humming a song I had never heard before and he seemed at peace. I've never seen him like this before. I stood there entranced by my friend and only refocused when I heard him talk.

"Good morning, Izu. Do you want a muffin?"

"I um y-yeah sure. I didn't know you baked Denki." He laughed a bit shyly at my words and gave me a muffin. I took a small bite and I smiled at the flavor. Banana nut muffins were my favorite.

"That's because I don't want Bakugo to find out. He's the determined baker for the class. So, I didn't want him to hurt me if he found out that I could bake too. Can we keep this between us?" He seemed a little nervous about Kacchan finding out about his hidden talent. I honestly couldn't blame him for it either. Kacchan can be really intimidating when he wants to be.

"Yeah. I can keep it between us. But you have to bake for me from now on. I'd love to taste your desserts and meals!" The thought of eating more of his yummy food made me a little more excited than I already was.

Kami blushed and looked away at my compliment. 'Is he not used to compliments? I guess not considering his friend group. They always make fun of him. Even if they have good intentions. It still isn't a nice feeling to be called mean things by your closest friends. I'll have to make sure he knows that he is better than he thinks.'

"Were you going to head out now? It's still pretty early. Class doesn't start for another two hours." I smiled while taking another bite of my muffin.

"Yeah. I'm heading to Aizawa's teacher dorm." Kami stopped to think about my words for a moment. He was probably trying to remember what I said last night.

"Do you think it's about the adoption?"

"I hope it is, but the only way to find out is to go and meet him. So, I'll see you later Kami." I finished my muffin and left the dorm in a flash.

When I made it to Aizawa's dorm, I knocked and patiently waited for my teacher to answer. The door opened not even a minute later, and I was greeted by a smiling Hitoshi.

"Good morning Toshi! I didn't think you would be up this early." My comment was met with a shrug as Toshi let me in the dorm. Although it was more of an apartment considering it had four bedrooms, an office, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a patio terrace facing the forest behind UA. The dorm is also shared between Aizawa, Mr. Yamada, Toshi, and Eri.

"Usually, I'm not up at this time, but dad wanted everyone to be awake when you got here." At my friend's words, my interest was picked.

"Wait. So, Eri is up too?" I sat down in the living room as I asked my question.

"Yes, she and Hizashi are both awake this early. Though it was a miracle that I could even get the man up. He was up late grading some assignments last night." I turned around when I heard the voice of Aizawa.

Following behind him were Mr. Yamada and Eri. Both were yawning and stretching a little. Mr. Yamada took a seat on the recliner as both Toshi and Eri sat on either side of me on the couch. Eri snuggled up to my left side and I wrapped my arm around her. While Toshi leaned his head on my shoulder for a bit more relaxation. 'Guess I'm a pillow now.' I smiled softly and looked up at Aizawa. The look he gave us was gentle and made me feel loved.

"I wanted everyone to be awake for this because it's a very important announcement. It's also the reason I asked you to come over as well." We listened carefully as Aizawa built up to whatever he wanted to say. My stomach got butterflies with all of the suspense. Is he going to say what I hope he is?

"Izuku. The papers finally went through this morning. I got the phone call at six A.M. You're officially out of that house for good. We can collect your stuff later when you're done with school for the day." A huge smile appeared on my face as tears collected in my eyes. I was truly happy for the first time in months.

"FINALLY! Does that mean I can call him my brother now! Can we have sleepovers and sibling bonding trips now too?" Eri's excited voice caused me to let out a watery laugh as everyone else laughed around me.

"You could do those things before, but yes."

The tears finally fell down my cheeks as Toshi, Eri, Aizawa and Yamada gave me a family hug.

"I promise that we are always going to be there for you Izuku. No one can take that away from you." My new family pulled away from the hug as my new father smiled down at me.

Toshi fist bumped my right shoulder and smiled. "This means I can totally beat your ass at COD now. Get ready to lose hardcore bro."

I just laughed at him and pushed him to the floor. "You could win in your dreams. I'll always be the king of COD. So don't get your hopes too high up there Toshi." Toshi pulled me off the couch and began to tickle fight with me.

"Now boys. You need to get ready for school. It starts in thirty minutes, and I won't let you be late just because you're with me." Dad smiled at us and picked up Eri. "I'm going to go get Eri dressed but, you better be gone by the time I come back. If you aren't, then I'll give you extra chores tonight and make you do another homework assignment." Toshi got up at the threat, but I just sat and waited for him. Since I got ready for class before I even came over.

Once Toshi was finished, we headed out to class. Halfway there, we ran into Kami and the three of us decided to walk together.

"You seem extra chipper this morning Izu. Did it happen?" Kami's question got us a questioning glance from my brother. I just nodded and then spoke to clear the confusion.

"We both thought or were at least hoping that I was asked to be at Dad's dorm for an update on the adoption." An understanding look appeared on Toshi's face.

"I can't wait until you call him that to his face. He is going to flip." I laughed at Toshi's words. When I was about to respond, I was met with a hard pat on my back as we entered the classroom.

"Sup nerd." It was just Kacchan.

"Hey Kacchan! You'll never guess what happened this morning!" My smile got wide again as I replayed this morning's events to my best friend. He just smiled at me and listened intently.

"That's awesome. I can't wait to tell mom about it when I get home. She'll be thrilled to hear that Aizawa adopted you. After what happened with Auntie, I don't think she'll ever forgive her." The smile I wore got smaller a bit when my mother was mentioned. I couldn't wrap my head around why she had a sudden mood change about me. It was like one day I meant the whole world to her, and the next I was just the kid who made her husband leave her. Though I know my dad didn't leave because of me.

My thoughts came to a halt when the back of my head was whacked by Kacchan.

"None of that you nerd! Auntie will realize her mistake sooner or later. You're with a family that loves you more than she ever could. So don't go around being depressed. You're not lame enough for that." Though his words were brash, I knew Kacchan was just showing me how much he cared. I could always count on him to make me feel better about a bad situation.

Our talk was soon interrupted when dad entered the room to begin the lesson for the day.

"Today we will be going over soulmates. So, I want you to listen very carefully. Soulmates have been around since the first quirk appeared. You are taught at a young age that you need to form an emotional connection with your soulmate in order for your mark to appear. That is only partially true. Parents say that to get their children to make friends with kids their own age.

A gray mark will appear on your wrist when you are fifteen or sixteen, and you will lose the ability to see all but one color. The gray mark will represent your soulmates quirk or their favorite activity. The mark won't change to a colored version of itself until you are able to form a connection with your soulmate. This connection is usually made by becoming friends. Once the connection is made, you will gain the ability to feel your soulmate's emotions. Some can even find their soulmate through this alone.

Your ability to see color will only change after the first kiss you share with your soulmate. That Is when the world will become colorful once more and a spark passes through the two of you. In rare cases, the spark will be a combination of the two quirks you have and will surround the two soulmates in a colorful light. When the light dies down there will be matching ring tattoos on the ring finger of your left hand.

If you have already met your soulmate or already have an emotional connection before soulmate day. Which is tonight at eight. Then you will only need to hug or touch one another in an intimate way in order for your mark to become colored. I forgot to also mention that when your mark is colored, it lights up rainbow. In order for you to be able to see it before it goes gray to your eyes again.

Are there any questions?"

Everyone sat in silence as we all started to process the new information about soulmates. I watched as Denki raised his hand while he looked to be worried about something.

"Yes Kaminari?"

"I have three questions. My first question is, can there be platonic soulmates? The second is, does it consider your sexuality? My last question is, what happens if your reject your soulmate?" I found myself wondering about the very same questions Denki just asked. They were reasonable to ask.

"To answer your first your first question, no. Your soulmate will always be romantic, but they will often times have the same sexuality you do. Whether you are aware of what you like or not. To answer your last question, people don't end up rejecting their soulmates. So, there is no recorded data on what happens when they do. Since you have to kiss your soulmate in order to know officially who it is. There is usually already a romantic connection."

When dad finished talking, the bell rang, and everyone left for lunch.

I was so excited when I wrote the adoption part. I almost couldn't continue typing up the rest of the chapter. The scene made me super happy and the suspense of it was killing me. Also, I discovered that I was typing Kacchan wrong so I fixed it. I don't know if I got all of them in this chapter. Hopefully I did.
