Despicable Me The Grimm Job! Chapter 1

Gru and Lucy were getting ready to go to bed, Gru was wearing his black pyjamas. Lucy was wearing her blue shirt and blue boxer shorts that she wore for sleeping in. Lucy was feeling exhausted after a long day at work at the AVL. She lay down on the mattress. Agnes came in wearing her unicorn pyjamas. ''What's wrong Agnes?'' Gru asked, ''You should be in bed''. ''I couldn't sleep Dad'' replied Agnes, ''I got a bit scared''. ''Why's that sweetie?'' asked Lucy. ''I had a nightmare'' whimpered Agnes, ''There was this big horrible scary monster that ate unicorns!''. ''I think you'd better go and sort her out Lucy'' said Gru with a yawn. "Ugh. Fine" groaned Lucy getting out of bed, her bare buttocks stuck out from the back of her boxer shorts, she couldn't see that, but she thought to pull up her boxer shorts from behind.

Lucy picked up Agnes and carried her back to her own bedroom that she shared with her sisters. Margo and Edith were still asleep when Lucy walked in with Agnes. ''Would you like a bedtime story Agnes?'' asked Lucy. ''Yes please Mom'' smiled Agnes. Lucy searched through the bookshelf. The family had all sorts of different books to read. The Lorax, The Grinch, Peter Rabbit, Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon, Puss in Boots, Winnie The Pooh…" said Lucy flickering through the bunch of books. She caught sight of a book of Grimm's fairy-tales. ''Here we are Agnes'' said Lucy. She sat down on a chair, opened the book and began to read it. Agnes listened to the story of Jack and The Beanstalk which was about a poor boy called Jack who lived with his father. They were so poor Jack's father told him to sell their cow. Jack meet a man who gave him a bag full of magic beans in exchange for the cow. When Jack arrived home and told his father about it, his father didn't listen to the full details and throw the beans out of the window. The next day, the beans became a humongous beanstalk and Jack started to climb it when he saw it. At the top was a magical world above the clouds. Jack walked until he came to a castle.

In the castle lived a giant who had a thundering voice. When Jack tried to take back a magic harp and a magic chicken the giant had stolen long ago, he chased Jack back the beanstalk and tried to climb down after him. When Jack reached the bottom, he asked his father for the axe so he could chop down the beanstalk. When he did so, the giant came crashing down to earth and died. After that, Jack and his father lived happily ever after. Agnes still didn't feel sleepy, so Lucy read her another story called Rapunzel which was about a girl with very long hair. Rapunzel's parents named her after a plant her mother had been growing in the garden. Rapunzel was kidnapped by a witch who locked her in a tower which was guarded by a fire breathing dragon.

Then a prince passed by and they made a plan which led to him fighting the dragon and Rapunzel lowering her hair down to the ground for the prince to climb up. They escaped and got married and lived happily ever after. Even after the second story, Agnes still wasn't ready to go to sleep so Lucy read her a third bedtime story called The Three Billy Goats Gruff. It was about three goats who attempted to cross a bridge only for the medium and little goats to be confronted by a huge hairy troll who threatened to eat them if they got onto the bridge as he believed the bridge to be his. Then the biggest goat had butted the troll into the river so they could cross safely. Next Lucy read the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

Goldilocks was a little girl whose hair was full of golden locks which was how she got her name and she lived with her mom in the forest, in another part of the forest lived three bears, Mama Bear, Papa Bear and little Baby Bear. Mama Bear had made them all some porridge for breakfast, since the porridge was too hot for them to eat at that moment, they decided to go for a walk while it cooled down. While they were gone, Goldilocks came by the three bear's cottage, and somehow managed to open the door to let herself in. She tried the bowls of porridge and found only Baby Beat's porridge was just the right temperature for eating so she ate it all up. Then Goldilocks tried the chairs and only Baby Bear's was right for her so she sat on it and the chair collapsed to pieces!

Next Goldilocks went to the bedroom to fins somewhere to sleep, Like with the chairs, she found Baby Bear's bed most comfortable and she was soon fast asleep. Soon the three bears came home from their walk and discovered someone had been eating their porridge, Baby Bear was especially upset as all his porridge was gone. Then the discovered their chairs had also been sat on by someone and Baby Bear was even more upset to see his chair had been broken. They went upstairs to find Goldilocks sleeping in Baby Bear's bed.
