Despicable Me The Grimm Job! Chapter 2

Goldilocks woke and ran away in fear when she saw the three angry bears. Even by now, Agnes wasn't feeling tired so Lucy read her the story of The Three Little was about a big bad wolf wanting to eat the pigs who were building their own houses, the wolf blew down the houses made of straw and sticks. But he couldn't blow down the house made of bricks by the third little pig. So the wolf tried to go down the chimney, but the little pig had lit the fireplace and the wolf got his tail on fire and shot upwards like a rocket! Next Lucy read the story of a young man named Aladdin who lived with his father in a small town in a desert location called Agrabah. Aladdin was incredibly lazy. One day Aladdin went into the garden only to his villainous uncle Albania and his pet dog.

One day uncle Albania took his nephew to a hidden cavern filled with vast riches and magical artefacts called Cave of Wonders. ''For you and your father to get rich, you will need to enter that cave, but get me this mysterious bottle first'' explained Uncle Albania. Inside the cave, everything made of gold and jewels in all life-size. In a glittering chamber filled to the brim with treasure: mounds of coins, beautifully adorned chests, and countless jewels towered over him. The bottle was on a stone when Aladdin finally reached it. ''Here it is!'' said Aladdin. ''Right. Give it to me'' said Uncle Albania. ''Oh, yeah… but… uh… No, no, no, no. Help me out first'' said Aladdin. ''Give me the bottle first'' said Uncle Albania. ''No, help me out'' argued Aladdin. ''Give me the bottle!'' ordered Uncle Albania. ''Help me out!'' begged Aladdin.

This argument went on and on until evil Uncle Albania got so mad, that he gave a wicked cry of rage! "YAAAAARGH! If you won't give to me, I will leave you in this cave!" he laughed evilly. "No! No, no, no, no! Come back, Uncle!" cried Aladdin. Suddenly, a boulder fell and blocked the exit! ''Don't leave me….all….alone'' whimpered Aladdin. Everything was quiet now and Aladdin rubbed the side of the bottle. And as he did, something curious happened. The bottle began to shake, shooting out a stream of enchanted white smoke and yellow sparks. And then….POOF! A genie emerged! "I am the Grand Genie of Eternity! The Greatest Genie of the Centuries!" he announced. Aladdin's first wish was to get out of the cave.

He fell in love with the princess who lived in the Sultan's Palace. His second wish was to become a prince. All of a sudden his wicked uncle Albania stole the bottle and took control of the genie. Uncle Albania's first wish was to become the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Shocked by this wish, the genie had no choice but to obey his new master. Uncle Albania's second wish was to become the new sultan. The genie was about to make Uncle Albania's third and final wish to make the Princess fall in love with him come true. Aladdin knew how to sort his uncle out. "And what's your third and final wish?" asked the genie. "Send Albania outer space where his magic can't work" replied Aladdin.

"OK" said the genie. "Oh, no!" cried Uncle Albania. BOOOOM! Soon he was there no more! Despite wasting his last wish, Aladdin still got the power what he ever imagined and he and his father were soon rich and he got to marry the Princess. Lucy read through the next few pages of the stories, including Puss in Boots, Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Atlantis, The Elves and the Shoemaker. Last of all was The Lion and The Mouse where in Africa a huge lion was fast asleep. A small mouse scrambled over him, causing the lion to wake up. He layed his big paw on the mouse, trapping him. ''WHY DID YOU WOKE ME UP?!'' roared the lion. "I...I..I didn't meant to bother you!" squeaked the mouse.

He apologized to the lion and begged him to spare his life. The lion pitied the mouse so he lifted his paw, setting him free. He wondered off and accidently walked into a trap under some fake bushes! It hoisted him up into the treetops. The lion struggled mightily to free himself, but the ropes were too think for him to chew through. "GET ME OUTTA HERE!" bellowed the lion. The mouse heard the lion's cries. Remembering his kindness, the mouse ran up to the treetops and climbed onto the trap. Then he used his teeth to gnaw through the thick ropes. A huge gap opened in the net and the lion fell to the ground with a thud. At last he was free! The lion and the mouse were now the best of friends.

Both of them had learnt that it's good to help someone who's helped you no matter who's big or small. By this point, Agnes had finally fallen asleep. Lucy put the book back on the shelf and tucked her youngest daughter in, she felt worn out herself from reading all those stories. She slowly walked back to her own bedroom where she got into bed and was soon fast asleep.
