They had done it. The Jedi finally had all the proof that they needed to prove that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Darth Sidious were one and the same person. The communicator had not only given the recorded message, but Yannan had been able to use the device to hack into Palpatine's computer system to find more evidence. There were old deleted holo messages that she had been able to recover. There were various battle plans and a plan for a thing called the "Death Star". There would be no way that the Chancellor would be able to deny who he really was.

Chae paced up and down the meeting room. Mace Windu had asked her to join him in the arrest of Palpatine. Bail Organa was already heading towards the senate with Padmé Amidala with the evidence, with Anakin and Obi-Wan as protection, should anyone attempt to stop them. At this stage, they had no idea if Palpatine would have any way of knowing what had happened. Obi-Wan had needed a lot of persuading to go with the senators. He disliked the idea of Chae heading off to arrest the chancellor whilst he was protecting the senators. He felt that he should be there to protect her instead. Chae had put her foot down, telling him that if things went wrong during the arrest, she needed to know would that there would still be those alive to keep Evana safe.

Chae stopped by the large window. The sun was beginning to set over the city planet. The sky glowed red and orange. It was a beautiful sight. But it brought Chae no comfort. If anything, she was scared. Scared not only for herself, but for her family and her closest friends. This could all go very wrong and too many would suffer as a result. She had been so caught up in her own head that, at first, Chae didn't notice that she had been joined by Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and Qui-Gon Jinn. Feeling the hand on her father rest on her shoulder, Chae came back to reality, feeling somewhat comforted.

The four Jedi made their way towards the chancellor's apartment. Palpatine spun round in his chair as the Jedi entered the apartment. He knew this wasn't a social visit; having heard from one of his own connections in the senate that Bail Organa and Padmé Amidala were, at that moment, giving evidence to them about him. The game was up. The Jedi were there to arrest him. He took in Chae. He should have known that it was too good to be true. Palpatine had to hand it to Chae. She had somehow managed to convince him that she wasn't a threat to him. But now here she was, ready to arrest him or kill him, if need be.

"Well, Master Windu, to what do I owe this visit?" Palpatine asked.

"On behalf of the Galactic Senate Of Coruscant, we are here to arrest you. We have reason to believe you are a Sith."

"Oh?" Palpatine responded innocently. "What makes you think that?"

Stepping forward, Chae replied, "we have the evidence. Hand yourself in and you'll be shown mercy." At this point, she was done with the games.

Getting to his feet, Palpatine gave her a smile. "Now, you know I can't do that…Yes, I am the Sith Lord you are looking for." With that, he withdrew a lightsaber from about his person.

The Jedi understood what was happening. Palpatine had no intention of letting them arrest him. He planned to kill them or die trying. Using Force Scream, Palpatine attempted to incapacitate the Jedi before attacking. But he underestimated just how strong the four Jedi were. Chae was the first one to recover and defend herself against the Sith Lord. She brought her lightsaber up to meet Palpatine's. Drawing on the Force, Chae forced Palpatine to take a few steps back, allowing her fellow Jedi a few extra moments to recover and be better able to fight back.

Palpatine couldn't help but be impressed. Chae was strong and she could her own in a fight. Their battle pushed them towards the middle of the room. Using his dark powers, Palpatine managed to throw Chae over the desk, knocking said desk and several chairs over at the same time. Chae hit the floor with force, knocking the air out of her. It took a few minutes for her to regain her thoughts and get to her feet. She scanned the room, trying to orientate herself.

Kit Fisto was down, resting up against the wall nearest to the door way. He was injured. Palpatine was, so far, managing to keep Mace and Qui-Gon from getting the upper hand. With a Force push, he had shoved Mace across the room. The force of him hitting the wall knocked the air from Mace's lungs, stunning him. Then, Palpatine grabbed Qui-Gon in a Force choke. She could feel the Force Drain Palpatine was sending out into the room.

Using telekinesis, and fighting against the Force Drain, Chae summoned several small objects from around the room and pelted the chancellor with them. This caused the hoped for distraction, causing Palpatine to release his choke hold on her father, and break the Force Drain. Palpatine turned, scowling at her as Qui-Gon dropped to his knees. He charged at Chae but she parried him with surprising ease. This fight was becoming personal; or at least it was for Chae. Palpatine had attacked her father, tried to have her killed by his own apprentice, and was potentially behind the attempt on Obi-Wan's life. She wasn't going to let him do it to anyone else.

Drawing on all of the Force, Chae channelled everything towards defeating the Sith in front of her. If Palpatine felt he was outmatched, he didn't show it. He continued to keep up with her. Their lightsabers connected and they held each other in a stalemate. Neither of them was willing to back down, knowing the other could take advantage of an opening. The chancellor chuckled, making Chae more riled.

"That's it… give in to your anger… use it to defeat me…"

"Be careful what you wish for, Chancellor," Chae spat at him.

Using all of her strength, Chae managed to shove him back. Palpatine took the opportunity to plunge his lightsaber through her abdomen. A look of surprise crossed Chae's face. For a few moments the two just looked at each other. Palpatine was looking very triumphant… until he saw a smile cross Chae's face. She grabbed his arms, using the Force to prevent him from being able to move away from him. The triumphant look disappeared and was replaced with a look of terror. The air started to crackle as she called upon the Force.

"If you were going to kill me, you should've taken my head," Chae snarled at him.

She sent Force lightning through Palpatine's body, causing him to cry out in pain. His lightsaber warped and twisted and then broke into many pieces. Chae was vaguely aware of the blade disappearing from her chest. Mace Windu had managed to climb to his feet and both he and Qui-Gon watched in awe of Chae. With one last surge of power, Chae shoved Palpatine back hard, just as Windu managed to find the foresight to suddenly leap forward and stab his lightsaber through Palpatine's back. The blade erupted through his chest, piercing his heart. When the lightsaber withdrew, Palpatine dropped to his knees, looking both surprised and outraged. Closing the gap between them, and with one final swing of her lightsaber, Chae severed his head from his body. His head bounced across the room as his body crumpled to the floor.

Chae dropped to her knees, the pain and exhaustion kicking in. her lightsaber dropped from her hand, switching off as it hit the floor. It was done. The Sith Lord was dead. But at what cost? Was she going to make it through? Had she used too much of the Darkside? Would she be exiled from the Order again? Too many thoughts raced through her head. Everything felt like it was spinning. She was vaguely aware of things going on but she was unable to focus… unconsciousness took and she slumped to the ground.
