Narrator's POV
Today was Friday, movie night for Elena and Stefan. They both like watching sappy Hallmark movies. Why? Because Stefan likes sweet movies with happy endings. Elena loved that too, but her mom always watched hallmark movies with her during Christmas time. And watching these movies was sentimental and special for her. To her, that's what Christmas movies were. Romantic and sweet. They may have the same patterns and do about the same things in each movie but at least it had a happily ever after.
Stefan turned on the TV and picked the movie "A Very Merry Mix-Up." He hoped it would be a good pick. Even though he was a vampire he liked blissful movies compared to the dramas of the supernatural. He needed a break sometimes from real life he needed a pick me up. It might seem silly that a hallmark movie was his pick me up but everyone needs something that makes them happy when they're blue. Or just tired of drama or just life in general. And yes, hallmark is cheesy and predictable. But when it comes to his life, nothing is predictable or the same every time. With Hallmark, you may know the plotline but at the end of the day, it's delightful and that's all that matters in the end.
Elena shivered. "Someone's cold huh? Come here." Stefan pulled Elena close to him and wrapped their soft blanket around the two of them. Elena layed her head on Stefan's shoulder, it was starting to get dark out and so her body thought oh its time to sleep so her eyes started to get heavy and her breathing started to slow and then finally she fell into a blissful sleep. After a minute Stefan realized due to his Vampire senses and turned his head over to Elena and saw she had fallen asleep. He smiled softly watching her sleep.
He then gently grabbed the remote and turned off the movie. He softly positioned her into his arms and he walked quietly upstairs with her in his arms bridal style to their room. Once he got to their room he layed her on their bed and he slid to the other side. And wrapped his arms around her waist and fell Into a blissful sleep himself.
The pair may have not finished the movie itself but it was still a sweet and blissful night
