Adam is awkwardly sitting across an obvious pissed off Lucifer who's holding the shattered Archangel.
Slightly cleaner, but still battered and bruised from the fight against the Beast, Adam is looking around.
"So..." Adam spoke. "How are you feeling?" Adam awkwardly smiled.
Lucifer didn't replied while holding the Fallen Star, ready to fire.
"I apologize on using the Archangel, without your permission. I just picked it up and had to bring down the Beast. And..." Adam stumbled his words.
"Shut up, you filthy Faunus!" Lucifer stood up as fire is slowly burning up around him.
Adam is scared from Lucifer's flames.
Lucifer sat down, harshly. "I don't know why, Eve wants you back to Atlas. I think it's ludicrous that out of all of the Faunus, you are the one that had slayed the Beast. And..." Lucifer present the Archangel. "What am I supposed to tell my father about this!"
"It was a lovely sword, Mr. Luci." Adam apologize with a bow.
"Mister... what?!" Lucifer is irritated.
"Oh!" Adam quickly caught on. "Sorry. I just heard, Ms. Eden mentioned your name before coming onto this private ship. Mr. Angelo."
Lucifer angrily stood up and grab Adam. Slamming him onto the ship walls. "Listen you, you smelly, filthy little cattle. I hated that nickname, but I can tolerated it from actual Humans. But you?! A Faunus?! Calling me as such?! But you have a place in this world, it's meant to be beneath me! So when I say that you should lay your life for me, you better damn well lay your damn life for me, cattle." Lucifer let go then sat down. Holding the Fallen Star and glares at Adam.
Adam slowly sat down, afraid of what about to happen next.
After a long wait as they're traveling across the land, Adam decided to lay down and about to fall asleep.
Dozed off, can't seem to dream as he sees nothing but the void.
From what felt like minutes into the void, Adam woke up. Hours had passed.
Lucifer yawns as they ship is about to make port. "Guess we're here, cattle." Standing up to walked away. "But I'm keeping my eyes on you though. Something like you doesn't deserve to be up here to begin with. But enjoy the stay, cattle."
"I will." Adam quickly reply. "But I doubt I will stay for long. I might just say "thanks", and move on with my life." Adam stood up then looked around. "Umm, where are we?" Confused as he sees a bright clear skies, but a cold feeling when the doors open.
With a surprised look, Lucifer replies. "We're in Atlas. A place I called home." Lucifer walked out as Adam is about to leave.
Adam is surprised to see the bright lights of Atlas. From feeling cold, it turned to welcoming warmth that is completely different from his time at Mistral mines.
Adam is quite surprised to see a whole new world. Astonished and amazed, Adam is bewildered by the overwhelming feeling of excitement.
"Wow!" Adam looked around the tall buildings and the lights.
Lucifer seem to be annoyed by this. "You act like this is your first time being in Atlas, cattle!" Lucifer shouted out as he's walking up to the door steps.
Adam looked over. "Because it is, Mr. Angelo!" He shouted.
"Get your bull ass up here! I want to get this over with." Lucifer spoke up as he's waiting for Adam.
Walking up to the join Lucifer up onto the steps.
Adam is surprised to see that even the doors have such lavish compared to the doors he's used to seeing. Looking at the door handle, to see how polished and shiny it really is.
"Talk about quality." Adam sees his own reflection through the handle. Adam sees his dirty teeth and black coal dusty look.
The door open to reveal Eve is standing in front of them, wearing "casual" clothes of a dress, high heels, and a mock tiara. "Welcome to the Eden Mansion!" She happily welcome both of them. "I'm so glad that you're here, Adam." Showing off her pure pearly white teeth.
"Oh!" Adam stood up up stiff. Bowing down to Eve. "Pleasure is all mine, Ms. Eden."
Rolling his eyes, Lucifer walked by. "Knock it off, cattle. Just go inside, I'm pretty sure that she has the dining room prepared."
Adam looks at Lucifer who casually walking by. "It's quite rude to not greet your superiors."
"Superiors?" Eve is confused as she tilted her head. "I never see myself as such."
Lucifer heavily sign. "Eve, you gotta understand that bit at least. I may hate the cattle here, but he is actually right about superiors. He's nothing more but a Faunus." Lucifer talked down on Adam.
"Well to me, I want to thank him in the highest way." Eve talks back to Lucifer.
"Oh!" Adam seems to be happy. "Then I guess you're just here to offer me some kind of a small Lien prize?"
"Lien? Oh no! You're not here for that." Eve dismissed it.
"Then what, if I may asked?" Adam continue to bow.
"Over dinner." She smiles. "Now," Eve pull Adam in then point up the stairs.
Adam is quite surprised about the overall presentation of the house. It has an ivory look with a nature feel.
"You may clean yourself up in the guests room. There should be different clothing sizes all prepared for you." Eve said to Adam.
"Oh! It must had been by body odor. I had been working in the mines for so long, I tend to forget about it. Plus... the showers weren't working..." Adam then remembered. "Oh yeah! If I'm not here for any kind of prize as such, can I request the fixing of the showering system down at my previous workplace?" Adam requested.
"Now that you mentioned it," Lucifer covers his nose. "I would paid for that myself if you all smell this bad."
"I shall talk to Mr. Gele about it." Eve bows.
"Schnee." Lucifer quickly corrects her. "He hates it when someone calls him Gele."
"Right! My apologies." Eve chuckled.
"So..." Adam points up. "Where may I asked?"
"Up the stairs, on the right, then walked down to the fifth door on the right. That should be the Guest Room." She smiled.
Adam bows. "Thank you, again. Ms. Eden."
"Just call me Eve!" Gives out a peace sign to Adam.
Adam walked up to the stairs then go to the right.
Both Eve and Lucifer are walking towards the dining room.
"Why did you bring him here?" Lucifer is being annoyed by Adam.
Eve looks at him. "Because unlike you, you haven't fulfilled your end of the contract, Luci. A Faunus had killed the Beast, but since he seems kind and wanting a life outside of the his previous, this could be the perfect opportunity to provide a better life for the Faunus."
"Well I hope it's something small." Lucifer foot tap. "I'll prepare myself at the other Guest Room."
"And I shall wait for you both at dinner." Eve gleefully said as Lucifer walked away.
Adam follow the instructions.
"Fifth door on the right?"
Adam looks at the door that reads; Uncle Noah's Faunus Room.
"Uncle Noah?"
Confused. Adam start thinking to himself then an idea came to him.
Wait!
Images of himself being violated by an olden man.
Is this one of those Faunus brothels I had heard about? I know those are popular for lonely people up in Mantle, but up here in Atlas?!
Adam is shaken in fear. Afraid to open the door.
What do it do?! Is this the reward that Ms. Eden wanted to give to me?! If so, why?!
Adam hesitant to open as he grabs the knob. Slowly turning the knob as he poke his head inside the room.
"Hello?" Adam calls out.
Another door from inside the room had open. To reveal that it's a Human housemaid, also around Adam's age. Slightly older though. "Good day, sir."
She bows as Adam enter the room.
"Good day, madam." Adam bows to her in return. "Umm, is this room kind of a brothel?" Adam spoke up with a scared tone.
"Brothel?" She looks around she tilted her head with a confused tone.
"Yes." Adam points the door title. "Noah's Ark. This is the infamous brothel house that Faunus is forced to work as special kind of workers for the aroused." Adam is embarrassed about it.
"Noah's Ark?" She looks to the door name handle then came up with such thought. "Oh! You meant Noah Arc. Not Noah's Ark, but I do understand why though. Noah's Ark is meant to be a room exclusive to Faunus guests. He had travel with Big Nicholas across Atlas."
"Ah!" Adam understood. "The name's Adam Taurus." He bows.
"My name is Apple Treeheart." She skirt bows. "And I'm at your service."
"I'm here to get myself clean up, but I doubt I would be here for that long."
She smiled. "Understood." She opens the door to reveal some steam. "The bath is ready, and I shall prepared you the proper attire of a gentleman." Her eyes glow from red to white as if she's analyzing Adam's measurements. "Please take your time." She leave the room.
Adam goes to the washroom.
Looking through the washroom, sees a brand new brush and toothpaste. Adam pick up the toothbrush. Adam show off his dirty teeth.
"I can start by getting myself clean."
Adam put the toothpaste onto the brush, start brushing his teeth then slowly revealing bleeding out from the gums.
Lucifer is outside of the mansion, on the Scroll. A device that's basically an advanced smartphone.
"Mike, I know it's a family weapon, but...!"
Lucifer seem to argue over the phone with his older brother, Michael.
"The Faunus had destroyed the Archangel...!"
Lucifer paused to let Michael speak through the phone.
"Without that sword, I won't be able to be welcome back by Father!"
Lucifer is looking around as he's swinging the shattered Archangel.
"Do you know a blacksmith who can repair the Archangel?"
Lucifer walked up to the stairs to sit down.
"What do you mean I can't simply repair it?!"
Heard of the news that sadden him.
"So... I can't return?"
Lucifer has a far away stare as he's listening to Michael.
"Yeah... goodbye..."
Lucifer hangs up.
Somberly walk to the front yard, then used his Semblance: Holy Light, to light up his body. From the bright light of what seems to be purity to Lucifer eyes turned into crimson fire with him making a crown of horns with his fire.
From this day forward, cattle. I'll make this Holy Light to be your eternal damnation of Hellfire!
Lucifer angrily glares up to Noah's Ark.
Adam is wearing a blue suit jacket, yellow vest, white dressed shirt and pants, blue dress shoes.
He's being escorted by Apple to the dining room on the main level of the mansion.
Opening the door to see a small feast in front of him. This is the biggest amount of food that he ever saw in his short life. Seeing a table full of food that isn't scraps or donation from local churches.
"Introducing young master, Adam Taurus." Apple introduced him to the only two other people with him, Eve and Lucifer.
Adam leans to Apple. "Was that really necessary?" Whispered to her.
"It's ceremonial." She replied.
She leaves the room after a skirt bow.
Adam looks around. "Umm, where's the Faunus table? I doubt this is where I'm meant to be here at the Master's table."
Eve giggled. "There's no need for that. Your seat is right there." She present him his spot of the table.
"This is far too much for the cattle." Lucifer angrily muttered.
Eve kicks his leg under the table.
Lucifer angrily stares at Eve who continues to smile towards Adam.
Adam takes his seat. "Thank you, Ms. Eden."
"Just call me, Eve."
"But you can call me your superior." Lucifer angrily muttered.
Eve again kicks his leg. "Where's your manners, Luci? He's our guest."
"Well thank you regardless." Adam nods his head. "So what is the meaning of this business that involves with me?"
"Yes, Eve. I'm also curious about his involvement?" Lucifer agreed with Adam, but with disgust in his stomach over the idea.
"If this is the showering system, I believe they would be fine with that, and perhaps..." Adam is looking at the food, "Maybe some better food for the workers?"
"Don't push it, cattle." Lucifer spoke up. "I'll agreed with the showering system, but not the food."
"It's not, but I will get involve with that though. So you don't have to worry about that, Adam." Eve said.
"So what is the plan?" Lucifer asked.
"Adam! What do you think on applying for Atlas Academy?!" Eve applaud for Adam.
"What?" Both Adam and Lucifer said the same thing.
"What do you mean, Atlas Academy?" Adam asked. "Because I believe I misheard Beacon for Atlas."
"I would rather see him there than here, but Atlas? Why?" Lucifer asked her while getting up.
"It's quite simple. It's more like sponsoring him for Atlas Academy, since I had requested my mother that since he had protected me, he deserve to showcase that as a Huntsman. Plus perhaps be a bodyguard for the Eden Family." Eve placed her hands together as she spoke.
Adam looks at Lucifer. "That reminds me what you said from the mining ground, where Huntsman can be like bodyguards."
"Correct, but why Atlas? Isn't your family have more influence around Vale?"
"Because my mother wants my personal bodyguard to be here with me, in case I need to conduct more out of Atlas business." Eve explained.
Adam stutters till he finally spoke. "As much I do like the offer, but I don't even have a weapon."
"You don't have to worry about that as all!" Eve present him a crimson red rock, but she barely can lift it up off the trolley.
"You need some help with that?" Adam asked.
"No! I can do this!" Eve struggles to carry it.
She finally placed it on the edge of the table with the help of all other butlers and housemaids, but she appears to be sweating and breathing heavily.
"Do you need some water?" Adam pour some water for Eve then placed it next to her.
She quickly grabs it and drink it down till its empty.
"Alright!" Eve sat back down after she properly wipe herself from the sweat.
Both Adam and Lucifer quickly stare at each other then back at Eve.
"This is the rarest metal on Earth, perhaps I should say, off Earth." Eve smiled.
"Which is?" Adam asked.
Lucifer smack himself. "It's Moonite Rock. Have you ever heard about it?"
"I do, but I don't actually believe it. Since Moonite Rock is very rare, and hard to produced as weapons. Plus actually heavy as hell." Adam said.
"I saw what happen to both claymore and the Archangel whenever you use your Semblance." Eve said.
"Semblance? What kind of Semblance would require to destroy both swords?" Lucifer asked.
"His!" Eve presents Adam. "His Semblance is so powerful, he managed to sliced a Grimm limbs in half."
"So what?! Any Huntsman can do that." Lucifer scoffs it off.
"But how many Huntsman that destroy their weapons whenever they used their Semblances?" Eve asked Lucifer.
"I guess not too many?" Lucifer replies.
"Correct! And Adam here needs a weapon, why not make him one?!" Eve knock the Moonite Rock which hurts her. "Ow!"
Adam picks up the metal and looks at it.
Lucifer looked furious over the attention that Adam is getting, which is annoying him beyond belief. To Lucifer, he seems to be annoyed that a Faunus is not only is sitting at a table like an equal but also is treated like an actual human being.
"Adam, will you be my sponsored Faunus for Atlas Academy?" Eve asked Adam while holding his hand.
"Umm, I guess I could give it a try?" Adam awkwardly answered while being not too sure if he'll be able to make her happy.
"You and Luci can be part of the same Team!" Eve eyes went starry eyed.
Lucifer started to laugh. This confused Eve, but Adam slowly is catching on.
"What's so funny, Luci?" Eve asked Lucifer.
Apple walked up to her.
"Lady Eden, it's Academy policy that there's no mixed Teams allowed in Atlas Academy. So it would be impossible if both Master Angelo, and Master Taurus to be part of the same Team. Also, even though you're sponsoring for young Master Taurus, he has to go through the Academy Initiation. Even though Faunus can apply for the Academy, but there can only be two Faunus Teams per year, while the other Faunus participants have to apply elsewhere or just find other kind of jobs out in Remnant."
Lucifer takes a sip of his drink. "And there should be 40 Faunus participants, as always. No more, no less. That's the limit."
Eve is confused about the Faunus has to go through for the Academy Initiation.
"So how do they get picked for being a team?"
Apple presents Eve the format.
"It presents as a battle royal. 40 participants compete in one of the old mining towns around Mantle till there's 8 left."
Adam took his drink. "That won't be a problem."
Lucifer raised an eyebrow as Adam looked nervous. "Sounding confident, cattle?"
"Well it's not my first time I got into a fight with other Faunus before. So yeah, I can handle a battle royal, but don't know if I'm gonna win." Adam isn't confident over his survival skills. "But how does the Humans resolve their Teams?" He turns to Apple.
"Quite simple. Relics of Atlas will be hidden away all over Atlas and will be 14 pieces, minus the two in the Faunus selection. So in total, 16 Teams are formed in the First Year."
"16 Teams of 4?" Adam does simple math, but couldn't add it all up.
Lucifer rolls his eyes. "There should be at least 64 students."
"Morale is actually high in Atlas. We provided the highest of student safety during the Initiation, with Haven coming behind on second. Beacon and Shade are considered as the worst with the highest death counts in their Initiation."
Adam look at Eve. "And why sponsorship?"
Eve stood up. "I can answer this one, Apple! This one is actually quite simple, but unlike the others, I don't have any alternative motive for this one. Political agenda. Sometimes an Atlas company, the SDC is famous for this one, does sponsored a Faunus for an "Academy Scholarship", they find whoever they think are the best solution. Sometimes, even gamble on their survival. Sometimes they want to be entertained by this barbaric game."
"Then why didn't you know about the classism and racism fight on how to determined the Teams?" Adam asked.
"I don't really pay attention. I just thought it was some kind of a gambling thing, which half of it was." Eve felt embarrassed about the situation. "But since I'm sponsoring, I had to be part of the gambling. But I have faith in your ability in this battle."
"Don't expect much." Adam eats his meal. "So what were planning on making the Moonite Rock into?"
"What do you feel like using?" Eve asked.
"I always like the katana." Adam looks around the Moonite Rock.
"Why a Katana?" Lucifer asked. "I prefer the a ceremonial broadsword."
Adam looks up. "I remember I was reading this old fairy tale of a ronin. I've always love the Mistral stories of the last stand plots. To me the katana always symbolize of a lone warrior had to travel across the lands in order to fight what they believe in. So my weapon of choice was always been a katana." Adam smiled over the idea.
"And the name for it?" Eve asked.
Adam looks at her with a confused look. "Why does a weapon need a name? I don't see what so necessary of it." Asking about the odd thing of naming the weapons.
"It serves as your identification. Because whenever a Huntsman or Huntress didn't find your License but found the weapon, the Academies look it up and sees it who it belongs to, and identify the wielder." Apply explained. "So what kind of a name were you hoping for?"
"Hmm..." Adam is confused. "I don't have a name yet."
"You can pick it out after the weapon is finished." Apple said.
"And when will the Academy Initiation start?" Adam asked.
Lucifer answers. "At the end of March. School starts at April. You got a couple of weeks to prepare yourself." Lucifer shrugs with confidence.
"Your weapon shall be ready by then." Apple said to Adam.
"But let not this food go to waste." Eve grabs as many food for her dish. Same goes for Adam. Lucifer is taking a few stuff for his plate.
Adam thinks to himself as he eats. Both Eve and Lucifer are talking about politics while Adam is off in his little world.
39 other Faunus will compete with one another. But it's not the numbers I have to worry about. It's what kind of Faunus will partake the battle. Their weapons is their front, but I'm more worried about what might happen when it comes to a melee fight. I can handle most hits, but if a Gorilla, Bear, Elephant, Hippo or another Bull Faunus will come by, they can hit me hard. As for the speed kind of Faunus, I won't be able to catch up, even if my Semblance can match both strength and speed, but I will be depleted. Another thing I'm worried about is the weapons. I can't used any normal kind of weapons, I will end up breaking them, unless I don't use my Semblance over all. But what if I fought against a Turtle Faunus, they're the only kind that you had to hit them harder than me. Them, and the Hippos and Elephants. Each Faunus is different...
Adam had finished his meal and Lucifer is preparing to leave. Eve is in the kitchen with the housemaids. Adam is looking around the main hall.
"Cattle!" Lucifer calls out.
Adam is scared. "Is there a problem? Mr. Angelo?"
"Yes." Lucifer raised his hands which Adam thought he was gonna be struck down, but Lucifer placed his hand on his shoulder. "We're gonna settle this."
Adam is surprised as he open his eyes then shocked about Lucifer words. "Meaning?"
"Since it's your fault that I can't go back to the Angelo Mansion due of you destroying the Archangel, so I'm gonna let you know. When there's a sparring fight between teams, and I do hope you will make it."
Adam smiled as he mistaken this a compliment.
"So I can kick your ass." Lucifer grinned. "And I won't stop kicking your ass till you finally quit."
Adam is confused. "I can always transfer to Beacon?"
"No." Lucifer's Semblance start heating up on Adam's shoulder. "I want you to quit, because like you, I'm abandoned by family."
Adam is being nervous over Lucifer threat. "Then I guess we're pretty much the same here." Nervously chuckle.
Lucifer annoyed over Adam's comment. He leaves the Eden Mansion. But before he leaves, he said to Adam. "That is the most offensive and the perhaps the greatest insult I've ever heard in my life. See you at Atlas, cattle." Lucifer slams the door.
Adam is left there with a confused look. "How is that the most offensive or insulting?"
"Adam." Eve walked up to Adam.
Turning around to face her. "What is it, Ms. Eden?"
"It's just Eve." Trying to make Adam to feel comfortable. "But there is a problem though."
"And would be?" Adam asked.
"Sadly, my parents doesn't want a Faunus to be staying here. Since they don't trust a Faunus living here unless they're around to observe." Eve answered.
"Then where should I be staying?" Adam wondered.
"I'll pay for your room and board down at Mantle. There's a hotel for those that are gonna attend for Atlas Academy." Eve presents Adam a room key.
Adam accepted but confused. "You already have my room picked out?"
"Yes. Because I was gonna tell you earlier, but it slip from my mind. I apologize on not mentioning it earlier." Eve bows to Adam, which is new to him and feel a tad uncomfortable due of seeing a human bowing in front of him.
"So where is this motel?" Adam asked.
"At the Pound Hotel."
