"WHAT!?" shouted Dusk so loud that a couple of parakeets flew out of the trees squawking. "Shhh," said Firefly as she put a talon over Dusk's snout, "do you want to come or not?" Firefly said harshly if I run away I'll never see Cactus again, do I want really to lose my friend since childhood? But I'll never see Mother or Father again which is a plus side. "okay fine, but let me pack, meet me at the sandwing/icewing border tonight at sundown with food, water and whatever else you want" "thankyou thankyou thankyou!" said Firefly hugging Dusk, Firefly kissed Dusk quickly then ran away saying thankyou quietly but loud enough for Dusk to hear.
What do you bring with you when you are running away forever with your girlfriend? Dusk had just arrived at her house to find her parents weren't home. She stood there staring at a small bag laid out on her bed, she already had some food and a small carton of water, as she looked around the room she saw the gift Cactus had given her for her 7th birthday. 30 minutes till sundown and Dusk was sitting at the kitchen table with her bag sitting next to her full of meat, water, a small scorpion made out of string that cactus had given her for her birthday, a carved dragon that looked somewhat like herself that Firefly had given her, a handmade pillow and a blanket. Dusk looked over at the fruit bowl, she had written a letter to her parents,
Mother & Father,
I have decided to run away with a certain someone. I will never come back, ever. I have left a gift for you but I'm sure you will burn it along with this letter before even opening it. please tell Cactus I will miss her.

She looked at the coconut wrapped in brown paper, she thought she would show a tiny bit of love to her parents if she was leaving forever. Dusk slowly got out of the chair and walked to the door, she looked behind before leaving. "goodbye", she whispered, and she flew off towards the sunset.
