Outside of the USJ there were a dozen of police cars outside along with vans being filled up by the villains that were all arrested and now in cuffs with some of them being unconscious.

"17, 18, 19" there was a head count going on before we were allowed back onto the bus to go back to school.

We were really attacked.

"Looks like the majority are okay." the detective who was on the scene said aloud. "The boy named Ojiro was one of the first transported back to recovery girl for his injuries."

The state they left him in was bad. He was alone in one of the zones where some villains were able to easily overpower him and started mocking his tail, they took it a step further by each taking turns to form their own cuts and slashes on it like it was a cast on someone that broke their arm and people asked to sign it.

Sato was also sent back with a broken leg, and of course there was our homeroom teacher Mr. Aizawa who had the worst injuries out of all the students.

All his limbs were snapped in odd angles, he had broken ribs and his eyes supposedly wouldn't work the same as they had before.

We were attacked by villains.

This was definitely something I wasn't expecting. Not in a school as well established and high up there in status like UA.

But they weren't well organised. If they were they would have sent us to zones that our quirks wouldn't have worked so well in.

With some of our quirks being as versatile as they were like mine and even Kaminari's it wouldn't have really mattered where we were sent.

But they were just banking on the fact that they had that behemoth that was supposed to kill All Might.

The first villains that actually looked like trouble were able to escape with the warp gate villain.

"They say that they were the villains were the ones that made the security breach the other day." Tsuyu pointed out.

The bus ride was quiet, too quiet so I guess she was trying to make conversation.

But the breach that happened a few days ago was believed to just be work of the reporters that wanted a scoop on All Might and what goes on in UA.

And now, new information suggests that it was the villains breaking in to get information.

No one spoke afterwards and some just had their heads down and stayed in silence while some other people had looked around looking like they wanted to speak up but didn't know what to say.

I did catch some glances at me though.

Seeing what my quirk could do had probably made some people grateful that I was there to at least slow it down.

'Slow it down.'

The dragon I had summoned was strong and durable. It wasn't like the other dragons I summon. But even with an ace like that up my sleeve I couldn't win.

I spent some time looking down at my hand thinking of how I can get stronger.

There was a light tap on my shoulder now.

It was Kaminari. He looked over at me with a small smile.

"Thank you for saving me." he said with what he tried to make out a low whisper, some people heard but didn't call him out on it.

I just nodded my head. "No problem, and anyway. You did good too, you probably would have done alright on your own."

That was a lie.

Dunno why I said that.

His face gained an odd look. "You really think so?" he asked gleefully, even louder than before.

Lying to this idiot seemed harder than before so I didn't speak, I just gave a slight nod.

He gave out a small laugh and then his hands were raised in the air.

"Hey guys no need to look so down anymore. We all survived our first villain attack." everyone on the bus started to look over to him in surprise. He seemed ... different. Like he was shining in a new light.

"And some of us were even able to beat up some of the villains with ease like me."

I was wrong, he's still the same idiot as before.

"Yeah, I bet your dunce face was able to scare em off real good." Jirou gave off a slight laugh to Bakugou's jest at Kaminari's expense.

"Hey who says I went stupid!" he let out in response.

"It's not about you going stupid. We've known you for a solid few weeks and have seen that you just are stupid." Jirou told him while trying to hold in her laughter.

Most people in the bus started laughing at Kaminari now. But he didn't seem to mind people seeming to cheer up at his own expense.

Guess he was aware and grown up enough for something like that, something I didn't expect.

Akira was frustrated.

He had just received a full explanation of what happened when he was speaking with Kairo on the phone.

A group of villains had thought it smart to attack a high school of aspiring heroes to try and kill the number one hero.

What was even worse was that this number one hero wasn't even at the grounds he was supposed to be in which would have allowed for him to protect the students and took care of the situation.

Now there were students in hospital as well as teachers, which then brought bad attention from the media and angry parents.

Akira was glad Kairo wasn't hurt, but he also wasn't surprised. He was the one who monitored the boys training so he wasn't surprised to hear that he was able to take care of some minor back alley thugs.

Even though Akira was not happy with what happened at UA, he was happy that Kairo was in the school to begin with.

The breaching incident should be something the commission knew about but UA kept quiet about that, albeit they truly may not have known that it was because of the villains.

But now having the school attacked and valuable information stolen from them puts them in a bad position. One which Akira and the rest of the commission will happily wait and bide their time to fully exploit until they have full control.

"It's sad what happened to your friend with the tail." the exasperated voice of the bright haired girl by my side spoke as we were walking home from the supermarket.

It was Haruka.

"We aren't friends, just classmates." I replied.

"Don't be so cold Kairo." she said.

It's not like I didn't care or feel bad. I just didn't know him.

"It's not being cold, I'm just not friends with everyone because I see them everyday at school." I replied to her.

"Then what are you?" she asked while drawing out the 'You'.

"Classmates." I said while shrugging my shoulders slightly lifting the plastic bag filled with groceries in my hand.

"I think we're getting off topic here." I told her.

"Yeah, maybe we should speak on something else." she said.

We walked past the usual afternoon traffic of parents going to schools to collect their kids and some junior kids all walking home together in their school uniforms.

It was a Tuesday, UA had given all students two days off excluding the Sunday because of what happened at the USJ.

They said it's for the students who witnessed the traumatic event to cool off as well as give them the chance to decide whether they want to continue their hero journey with UA or another school that UA will refer them to.

Even the kids that weren't harmed by the attack at all like some kids in a general studies course.

As soon as parent's heard that villains were truly brave enough to attack a school filled with top heroes it just told them that even with ALL Might there their children still may be at risk.

While a lot of other students used that argument to stay within the school, like Ashido.

How did I know this, because of the class group chat that we're all in. I don't speak in it or even pay it much mind but I do scroll through just to check if there's anything important I may be missing out on.

And she isn't the only one who had to beg her parents and present them with a good argument to stay in the school.

There was also Yaoyorozu, Sero, Tsuyu and a more obvious one being Ojiro.

It was understandable. Parent's just don't want their children hurt.

But then why allow them to be heroes in the first place. Most heroes are hurt on the job anyway.

Heroes commercialised like Endeavour or All Might are too strong to be hurt so badly that people actually know how bad it can be for the average pro, the average pro who may have to retire because of an injury given to them by a villain, that parts just not seen on the media as much.

Like if All Might were to have gained a serious injury and be put in a coma while the villain that had done all that damage were still out on the streets causing havoc, a lot of people would start thinking of other professions and the majority would start to lose hope, but that's a whole other issue. One that comes with creating a symbol and letting all problems fall onto him.

"Hey Kai, what do you think about the sports festival?" Haruka perked up and asked.

"Cool to watch, a little inspiring even." she seemed happy with that answer. "But I kinda wish I was able to be exempt from it. I don't like the idea of just showing off your power for everyone to see. Everyone includes villains."

"Oh shut it. You were just on the right track but then you had to add the classic bad side to everything." she said with a lowered voice trying to mimic me.

"Well that's cause there normally a bad side to everything, no matter how good." I responded.

"This is why you need friends," she sighed. "But maybe not all of them will want to put up with your pessimism."

She continued. "I wonder how Kaminari is able to put up with you."

"Well I don't speak to him on the same level I speak to you most of the time. He's too stupid to get any of it."

She laughed.

In the short time she knew him, which wasn't much shorter than how long I knew him, she had seen what I meant by him being stupid-- or just slower than the average person.

"Don't be mean, he's a nice guy." she said trying to defend him.

"Most stupid people are." I responded.

--

"You're back already Mr. Aizawa." a large portion of the class wailed out.

"He doesn't look to well though" Kaminari whispered to me.

"My well being is not your concern." he said in his usual low and moody voice.

Kaminari squirmed in his chair at the teachers stare which caused some more of the class to laugh.

Mr. Aizawa had both his hands in separate casts and his face was covered in bandages as well as his legs.

It was actually a miracle that he could walk so soon.

He could notice most of our stares at his bandages, I don't think it was because of our stares though but he started to peel off some of the bandages wrapped around his head.

"Are you sure you should be doing that sir!?" Iida loudly asked while waving his hands in the air robot-like, like he had usually done.

"The old hag overdone it." that was his only response referring to Recovery Girl, the schools head nurse but also a past hero. There was a scar underneath his left eye that seemed to have dried up leaving slight redness in the spot where it was as he was poking at it.

He kissed his teeth.

"Anyway. The fight's not over."

Everyone in the class tensed up, heads straight staring forward while some more members of the class had started to have sweat start to form.

There were whispers in the class of them fearing if more villains were coming.

All of that which was then calmed down by what was actually to come.

"UA's sports festival is approaching."

The tense atmosphere and frightened brows had disappeared from the students faces really fast and some of them had let out small breaths or laughs of relief.

"Great, that's so ordinary. But when he was speaking I thought it was gonna be about more villains."

"Kaminari don't interrupt me." Mr. Aizawa's stern voice brought him back to straightening himself up in his chair and quickly responding with.

"Yes sir." with some of the class laughing at him again.

"But before that..." Mr. Aizawa began to pull out a white board and lifted it into the air. "You'll spend the class deciding on hero names."

The class erupted into even bigger cheers. How could they not.

Choosing hero names for some is something they've been thinking about since they were kids, fantasizing people cheering your pseudonym and calling for you when in trouble, only for you to swoop in and save them.

Even I thought about it somewhat when I was trying to get what people seen in heroes. It was also for school, the teacher must have wanted an easy lesson in playschool and got me and the rest of the kids to think of hero names in case we use them for the future.

She also said it was to get our brains active with creativity or some crap.

But yeah throughout the years I have thought of a name to go with.

"You best choose your name wisely.." Mr. Aizawa was cut off from what he planned on saying.

"Or you'll have hell to pay for later." the sound of strong taps of heels on the floor was heard after the recognizable voice spoke out. A tall and curvaceous with long, thick and spiky dark purple hair had walked in the class.

She wore a skintight bodysuit which was flesh coloured and showed her voluptuous figure, a utility belt was wrapped around her and black thigh-high boots as well as some accessories on her wrists.

She was the pro hero Midnight.

Many of the boy's, especially Kaminari, were blushing at her appearance and giggling to each other, while some of the girls just looked uncomfortable while staring at some of their classmates reactions.

"Your names have the power to reflect ones true character or bring you in a closer direction of the type of character you want to be." Mr. Aizawa said. "So choose wisely."

After that we were given 20 minutes to think of names and even go around to other people's seats to see which hero name they may have chosen and find some inspiration by thinking on past heroes.

I already had a name in my head that I decided to go by. It was nothing special, but it was something that always came to me whenever I thought of a hero name.

"Psst." Kaminari had already started to annoy most of the class with him going around poking at everyone asking what their hero names might be or what hero inspired them to choose the name and stuff like that, so all that was left to annoy was me.

I turned over to him to address him. "Do you have a name chosen?" he asked.

"Yeah." I responded.

"What is it?"

"You'll find out later when I go up and say it."

He groaned slightly.

"Well why'd you name it the way you did?"

I decided to mess around with him, "I got the inspiration from my dad."

His eyes widened. I haven't told him anything about my parents but he hasn't asked so I seen no reason to tell.

He smiled and then said. "That's cool." he gained a different look on his face, one that looked like he was thinking of the past.

"I think I got something." he giggled.

"Really, is it something like eel?" I asked sarcastically.

"Hey, wait till I go up, then you can find out yeah." he responded in a tone that tried to make fun of me for responding to him like that.

"And eel sounds like a cool name anyway, so that can be a backup."

He said that last part out a bit louder than the progressively lower sounding chatter of the rest of the class.

"Well then since everyone knows Kaminari's backup hero name, why doesn't he come up to tell us his first pick."

He cheered and agreed and hopped up out of his chair and made his way to the front of the class facing the class. He had his usual, casual and goofy face on him.

He turned his board around and said "My name will be [The electric hero: Chargebolt.]"

My brows slightly furrowed. That's actually a good name. Most of the class agreed all silently agreeing that they didn't expect something that good from Kaminari.

"Great name, Kaminari fits well." Midnight said. "Now who's next?"

"I'll go." Ashido said.

People then kept going up one after the other.

Until it was just me. Me staring straight into the eyes of my classmates, all their eyes on me.

It felt disgusting, there were multiple things I hated anyway about being in school, Presenting and working in groups.

The atmosphere and sickly feeling I would get, the incoming headaches.

'Let's just get it over with.'

I quickly turned over my board and some of the eyes that looked over showed a look of confusion while some looked on as they had the others.

"[The dragon hero: Ryujin., that'll be my hero name."
