All the students are making their way to lunch. The Faunus were meant to eat at the basement, but Adam wanted to explore around Atlas Academy, the access points for Faunus at least and while carrying the flowers that Winter gave him.
Adam is looking around to see so many different Huntsman and Huntresses.
"Enjoying the view, cattle?" Lucifer caught up with him.
Looking back to see Lucifer with his lunch. "Pretty much."
Lucifer kept looking at the flowers but no lunch bag. "I see the flowers that Lady Winter gave you, but where's the lunch?"
Adam nervously answered. "Well... before coming here, and Ms. Eden maid came by and drop me a large bento box. It was quite large, so before I got here. I gave it away to some other Faunus that needed more than I do. Plus, I was expecting the casual SDC lunch program to be served."
"What's the casual SDC lunch program?" Harriet appear behind him, scaring Adam.
"Almost gave me a heart attack, Ms. Bree." Adam held his heart.
"Just call me Hare." She smiles at him.
"Alright Mr. Hare." Adam smiles at her. Turned to Lucifer. "And as for the SDC lunch program. It's your pretty standard high school lunch; a filling sandwich of egg, turkey, or ham, which I tend to get an egg sandwich; either a bottle of water or a carton of milk, I get the latter; a choosing of fruit which are normally an apple, banana or orange, I just grab an orange; and we also have a salad and a brownie." Adam reveal the lunch program. "I don't tend to eat much, since my Semblance can preserve me till dinner time. I would normally eat the left over egg sandwiches, which would be normally around 14 or 15 egg sandwiches a day."
Harriet felt up Adam's arm which freaks him out. "That would explain on how you're so toned. What do you do all day?"
"He's a Faunus worker at the SDC down at Mistral. So he must had been doing nothing but work." Lucifer fill her in.
Harriet continues to feel up Adam but kept freaking him out. "So are they always this muscular?" She asks.
"Not always." Adam stutter his words. "It's just a day's of hard work. I don't usually take time off, unless I practice sword handling and my swings with a piece of stick I tend to pick up. So I'm just trying to make my days count. Plus I don't tend to go to places or buy anything that much." Adam had a thought then pulls out an envelope from his inside coat pocket. "I only cash my check once, but I just tend to keep all of my paychecks since I don't know what to buy or do with this much."
Harriet pull Adam in. "So how much did you make?" She asked with a curious glee.
Adam looks at all his checks. Revealing to be at least between 250 to 400 Lien.
"Not bad!" Harriet smiled. "What are you gonna spend it on?" She asked him while finger pressing his cheek.
"I wasn't planning on using it for myself." Adam reply.
"Even though it's your hard earn money?" Lucifer asked.
"I prefer to help rather than putting myself first. I was raised like that at the Zodiac Orphanage." Adam happily said to him.
Adam walked around with Harriet and Lucifer.
Kaguya is looking around to sees Adam, "Someone is getting popular." She playfully grins.
"Cattle," Lucifer turns, but Harriet walked around and finger points at him.
"Why call him Cattle? I should call you Luci in that case!"
Adam pull them apart. "I prefer not to have a violent confrontation. But the gesture is a kind though, Ms. Hare." Adam said to her.
"Then..." Lucifer turns to Adam while walking by the potential battlefield for the new years. "How about you be my opponent, when I get into Atlas."
"I won't mind that." Adam accepted.
Harriet seems like she been left out. "How about me? I want to be someone opponent!"
Kaguya sneakily reveal herself behind Harriet. "I shall be your opponent." Kaguya giggles and Harriet jumps up.
"Who the hell are you?!" Harriet goes up to her face.
She playfully wave it off. "I'm Kaguya Usagi. I'm also trying to become an Atlas Academy student."
Harriet looked annoyed then checking up on her body. "I guess you shall do."
Kaguya goes up to Harriet to annoy her more. "Feeling uncomfortable?"
"It's that... rabbit hunting it very popular at my hometown. So I don't know how I should feel about fighting a Rabbit Faunus." Harriet nervously said to Kaguya.
"Then how about this," Kaguya playfully wink. "Whoever wins, the loser must buy them lunch." Kaguya giggles.
"Deal!" Harriet accepted as she forcefully shake Kaguya hands that she swinging her entire body around. Putting her down. "But I'm gonna warn you, I'm the fastest girl from Vale. So expect a quick lost." Harriet is having confidence over her ability.
"Then you better expect a big lost after I kick your ass." Kaguya playfully said to Harriet.
"Anyways, I'm gonna call game. I want to get ready for tomorrow!" Harriet is hyped up. "So Adam, any plans this weekend after the battles?"
"Not really. Might just find some work in case I don't passed." Adam reply.
"You better pass!" Lucifer barks at him, surprising both Harriet and Kaguya.
"Alright, Lucifer. I'll pass the trial." Adam said to him.
"See you back at the Hotel." Kaguya greet him away.
"You too, Ms. Usagi." Adam softly bows at her.
"Then..." Harriet hugs Adam which surprised him. "Wish me luck!"
"I will." Adam hesitate. "But how can I wish you..." Adam looks around and checking his pockets. "I don't know what to give you but..." He noticed the flowers. "I can give you these. I don't have a vase nor the proper way on doing gardening." Adam admits as he passed the flowers Winter gave to him.
"Thanks, man. This is the first time I had been given flowers." Harriet is embarrassed over Adam's gift. "Anyways, hope I'll see you at Atlas Academy as classmates." Harriet waves Adam goodbye.
"I will try my best, madam" Adam softly bows at her when she leaves.
Winter noticed Adam passing the flowers down to Harriet then glares down at him.
Adam is walking by Atlas Academy till he sees two more Faunus, also attending the Faunus Battle Royale.
One of them was the Dog Faunus he saw asking about the Reindeer Games, but another he doesn't know. The Dog Faunus is down and beaten up while the other one is protecting him from the other Atlas Students, upperclass.
6'3". Orange hair with blue eyes. Wearing a worn down Navy uniform.
The shirt pushed him onto the wall. "Listen here, freak! If we ever see you hanging out with any of our girls, we're gonna make you into sushi!"
"I'm not interested in your loose girls." He back talk.
They punched him onto the gut.
"You're one of those fish Faunus I heard about."
"Hey!" Adam walked up to them. The bigger classmate defends them. "You leave those two alone!" Confronting them.
They scoff him off. "Why should we? We're just treating them the way they should be."
Adam eyes enraged and about to throw a punch, but been stop. Adam looks around to see a water tentacle wrap around his wrist.
"I don't want you to get in trouble from us, sir." He said to Adam. "You don't know how Faunus laws are like here, right?"
"Doesn't matter?" Adam said to him. "When I see a troubled Faunus, I want to help them out. Damned the laws if I cared."
"Listen here," the lead Human boy walked up to Adam. "If a wild Faunus that isn't a student or a Hunter, will get punished by being beaten down." He points at the little pup. "This little one had bump into me, and ruining my clothes. So..." he pulls out a chain. "We're just disciplining the dog."
Adam looked disgusted then turned to anger. "Then how about you try that on me!" He suggested.
"Another one?" He grinned. "First this freak here, and now you?"
"And he mentioned your girls, what was that about?" Adam asked.
He turned to anger. "Because he's a Octopus Faunus from Mistral. What we heard about what they do from those adult anime shows, he can use his tentacles to violate our girls." He noticed the horns. "And you're a Bull?" He asked.
"Been called cattle." Adam mentioned his nickname from Lucifer.
"Then..." He grab a knife and slid up his leg. "Is it true about Bulls having a big package?" He seemed to have a jealous expression.
"I'm starting to see why you're picking on them." Adam put it together. "If you wanna look, feel free." Adam suggested.
He looked down with jealousy but turn to his calmer expression. "Nah! I'll just beat you instead."
"Then I'll take it all!" Adam said. "I'll take theirs too. I'm familiar with this situation before."
"Well in that case..." they pull Adam away thus leaving the other two behind.
They drags Adam across Atlas while making racial remarks towards Faunus and Adam. They walked by a small room with it seems to be a torture chamber.
"What may this be?" The voice of Headmaster Claudio spoke from down the hallways.
All of them are shocked then turned to fear as he's walking up to them.
"Explain?" He demanded.
"We're just treating this Faunus what he deserved. He knocked me down and we're gonna give a caning." He nervously laughs.
Headmaster Claudio glares down at Adam then looked up. "Ten caning will do. And I will be examine this."
"Each?!" He spoke up with excitement.
"Total." He replies that made them felt disappointment.
"Alright Headmaster." They said while pulling him in with Headmaster Claudio.
After a short while, Adam is holding his back while slightly bleeding from it. "You got off lucky you horned freak!"
Adam felt anger but then sign due that he made sure that some other Faunus didn't had to suffer the punishment. Adam looks up to see the other two Faunus he save.
"Want to walk home?" The Octopus said.
They're riding the carrier.
"So why did you managed to take all the heat?" He asked Adam.
The Dog Faunus spoke up but scared.. "I should... be... the one who would be beaten down."
Adam looks shocked. "How about introductions? Adam Taurus."
The introduced themselves while shaking hands.
Shiro Sakura, the Dog Faunus
Eric Kraken, the Octopus Faunus
"Octopus Faunus? I've never seen one before." Adam is in awe from the Faunus species.
"I've been called Hentai as a joke. But really, it's more of an offensive term to us sexual pleasing Faunus." Eric said.
"Never heard about that one before." Adam is shocked. "And what about you, Mr. Sakura? How did you end up in that situation?"
Shiro looks away while being nervous around the subject. "First off, just call me Shiro. And secondly..." Adam and Eric noticed that he's nervous to answer and shifting his eyes. "I bump into him by accident."
"Ah...!" Adam said.
"That's why I got into that mess. They were just picking on him." Eric said.
"I really did!" Shiro spoke up. "I just bump into him when I was walking 15 feet away from him." Shiro is trying to deny the truth.
"So why did you take the beating? I was fine about it." Eric asked Adam.
Turns to him then quickly came up with an answer. "I was an employee to the Schnee Dust Company. I'm used to work with such cruel treatments. I tend to take all of the beatings till I feel nothing but numbness. Since I'm a Bull Faunus, I can take it all." Adam said. "I just... want to help out the Faunus. Whatever I can. Seeing how the Faunus being treated here is no where different from Mistral." Adam looks over Mantle as they're descending down.
"Ever..." Shiro spoke up. Adam turned to him with a calm expression. "Felt... like you couldn't... save them?" He asked.
Adam looks away then turned back but all he sees is another SDC employee who looks dirty and beaten down. "I'm... I'm afraid when that day comes, I might... lose it." Adam quickly looked away and sees Shiro again. "I don't want to lose anyone close to me. Being raised at the Zodiac Orphanage with 11 other brothers and sisters, I had saw them all died in front of me. It was... a field trip. That's how."
"So why become a Huntsman?" Eric asked him.
"To save the Faunus and try to make this broken world into one. It's an impossible goal, but never once gave up on that." Adam said. "And you two?"
"I just want to be part of the Navy. But I need an Atlas Huntsman license for that requirement." Eric said.
"I... don't know really." Shiro couldn't answered.
"And why so?" Both Adam and Eric said.
Shiro looks down then remembered being abused by his foster parents.
"Just... don't know really." Shiro grit his teeth. Both of them didn't probe.
Eric sat next to Shiro with Adam on the other side.
"You'll find a purpose. You will." Adam said to Shiro while back patting him.
Adam walked around and noticed the bullies who were picking on Shiro earlier are wondering around Mantle. Adam at first mind his business but remembers Shiro story, then rub his back. Red electrical Aura sparks up as he turned to them. Adam then pulls out the Beast Grimm bone and made it into a makeshift mask to follow them. As they walked into an alleyway as they saw a homeless Faunus.
They talk about beating him, even till death. Before they were gonna make their strike, Adam rush in and start beating them down without them seeing who he is.
The homeless Faunus witness Adam managed to beat down every one of them, breaking their Auras.
Turning to face the homeless Faunus, he helps him up. "Do you... need some Lien?" He offers. "Because I can help out for a bit." Adam takes off his mask and smiled down at them.
