Seattle Day One)
A few months passed since everything happened. Enid had made it to Seattle on Dusty. Winter had passed by so she could change her clothing.
She wore a black t-shirt with a grey hoodie that had camo green sleeves and shoulders. She wore dark grey jeans with grey converse shoes.
So far, she hadn't found anything that would lead her to Abby. They entire way, Enid thought about Joel and Ellie. She even had a few night terrors about the whole event.
The other night, Enid had found a guitar and played it while she sat by a fire, playing Broken Arrows by Daughtry. That song stuck with her for a while after this happened.
She was already in the city, and she had seen a hotel, where one of them was supposedly hiding.
"Okay... she's gotta be up there," Enid said to herself, having her horse galloping through the grass-covered streets.
When she makes it, she dismounts Dusty and tied his reins up to a tilted street pole. "Stay here, Dusty... I'll be right back," she said to the horse, patting the animal's neck. Dusty whinnyed back at her.
Enid then turned towards the open entrance of the hotel. She started to walk forward, until she heard more infected inside.
"Oh, shit," she cursed, instantly crouching down. She listened carefully. There were a few runners inside, which shouldn't be too hard.
She pulled out her knife and crouch-walked inside the lobby. Luckily, the runners had their backs turned, twitching violently.
When she came up behind one, she jumped up and slit the runner's throat. She then did the same to the other two infected.
After she was done, she made her way to the floor they were on. Thankfully, there was no more infected, or at least she couldn't see or hear anymore.
When she made it to the room, she thought she could hear loud radio static. She pulled out her gun and had it ready, just in case.
She carefully pushed it open and looked inside. When she opened the door, she lowered her gun when she didn't see anyone in there.
Until she saw the bodies of two of the WLF in one of the hotel rooms.
"What?" Enid said to herself, seeing that those two had been tied to chairs with blood and wounds on them.
"Okay... got to find something," Enid said, starting to looking through this WLF's supplies. She found ammo and some medical supplies.
She found a picture of Abby along with the hispanic man that spat on Joel when he died.
"I'm gonna find you, you fucking bitch..." she swore, putting the picture down.
Enid found a pen and some paper so she wrote something down for Ellie, if she would come through here.
It read, 'Ellie, if you're out here, if you are... if come through here, which I don't know if you have already, just know that I know where those other bastards are. I have no idea where Uncle Tommy had gone. He didn't come with me.
Try to find me. I'll see you soon, Enid.'
She then left the hotel after placing the note on a table.
She walked out of the hotel and she untied her horse and mounted him.
"C'mon, let's get the hell out of here," she said to the horse, turning him around.
She made the horse gallop through more of Seattle. She had made it through two WLF patrols, killing almost every one of the members in it.
Soon, she made it passed the bank and into the next zone. It was very quiet; All Enid could hear was the wind and Dusty trotting on the street.
After a bit, she heard a loud explosion not that far from her. Dusty neighed loudly and backed up, spooked from the loud noise.
"Easy, Dusty, easy!" Enid exclaimed, pulling on the reins.
Dusty wasn't listening though and he reared back. "No, no, no!" she cried out, unable to hold on.
She slid off her horse, making her fall onto the moss and grass covered street.
"Agh! Dusty!" she yelled out, sitting up quickly. She watched as Dusty galloped away from her, jumping over a road block then disappearing out of Enid's sight.
"Ah, shit!" she cursed, getting to her feet. She grabbed her gun and knife and took off towards the sound of the explosion.
By the time she got there, she could see the WLF carrying Ellie into the elementary school next door.
Enid crouched behind a car and watched where they were taking her estranged best friend. They took her towards the back.
"Ellie..." Enid quietly said, moving along any form of cover she could find so those WLF's wouldn't see her.
When she got a closer look, she saw that it was the same WLF's that were there when Abby killed Joel.
She made her way around until she could get a good view of where those bastards were holding Ellie.
While she waited, she felt somebody touch her on the shoulder. Enid looked behind her and grabbed the assailant by the front of their jacket and threw them to the ground.
She held them down and pulled out her knife and held it against her assailants throat.
"Wait, wait, Enid, stop!" Dina shouted, holding her arms back.
But Enid saw it was Dina and she abstained, and she withdrew her knife. "Dina? What the hell are you doing?" she said, getting off of Dina.
"Trying to get to Ellie. What are you doing?" Dina replied, rubbing her nose, "Man, you really weren't gonna kill me, were you?"
"Yeah, well, don't sneak up on me like that. Ellie knows I don't like that," Enid said, closing her knife, "I was getting Ellie too. Those bastards that killed Joel took her,"
'C'mon, let's go find her," Dina said. Enid and Dina left and they found where Ellie was tied up.
Kneeling in front of her, was the same one that Ellie had cut on the face.
Ellie soon woke up and she saw that she was tied to a lab station. Her knife was stabbed into the seat next to her.
"Didn't think I'd ever see you again. How'd you find us?" he asked her.
Ellie looked down for a moment. "I asked about a dude with a bitch scar across his face," she said, smirking at him.
Enid smirked at what Ellie said. 'That's my girl,' she thought to herself.
The guy, whose name was Jordan, took Ellie's switchblade and held up against her throat.
"Hmm, that's funny. How many came with you? Hmm? Just you two?" Jordan asked, obviously not seeing Enid before.
"You can't stop this," Ellie told him, looking at him in the eyes.
Enid and Dina watched as another WLF member walked in, seeing what Jordan was doing.
Jordan got to his feet after stabbing Ellie's swtichblade on the seat of the chair.
"Jordan! You're supposed to be looking for the other two! What the fuck is this!?" he scolded.
'Other one? Does he mean...?' Ellie thought, wondering if the other one was Enid.
"Y'know that smuggler that we killed out in Jackson?" Jordan asked.
"Yeah," the other man asked. "This was one of the girls that was there," Jordan replied.
"What? Did you see the other girl that was there?" the other guy asked.
"Yeah, she killed our last two patrols. But we don't know where she is. Look, they're coming after us. That's why Nick was fucked up like that. We gotta find that other girl and bring them to Isaac and tell him exactly what's going on," Jordan said.
"Yeah, well, I just got off the radio wiht Isaac. And we got a new mandate," the other guy said.
"Hmm?" Jordan asked. "Kill all trespassers," the other guy said, pulling his gun out of his holster.
Jordan stepped in front of him. "Hold up, hold up, that doesn't make any sense," Jordan said.
"It's a direct order, man-" the other guy spat. "No, let's talk to her, let's figure out what she knows--" Jordan suggested.
"I don't give a fuck what she knows! You saw what she did to the others," the other guy shouted.
"You have no idea how many people she might be with. This might be an ambush, Mike-" Jordan said.
"I don't care how many people she's with. We will find them. We will kill them," the other guy hollered.
"Can you just think for yourself for a quick second-" Jordan said, trying to reason with him.
"Jordan, get the fuck outta my way-" the man said, about to shoot Ellie.
However, Dina fires her gun and shoots the man through the ceiling. Jordan fires back and Dina falls through the ceiling.
"Dina!" Ellie shouted. Enid tried to grab her but she couldn't get a good grip on her.
"Dina! Shit!" Enid shouted, quickly getting up to find another way in.
She gets to her feet and managed to find her way inside the school. She found a way inside through a window, and she could hear Jordan starting to strangle Dina.
She sprinted into the room, knife open. She saw Ellie struggling to get loose from her binds.
Enid rushed over to Jordan, grabbed him by the hair and slit his throat gruesomely. "Got you, motherfucker," she shouted in his ear as his blood gushed out of the wound..
Enid backed away as Jordan fell over, dying from his wounds.
After he died, Enid looked over at Ellie, who was still struggling to get loose.
Dina got to her feet and she thanked Enid for helping her. Enid nodded and she walked over to Ellie, who looked up at her.
"Enid!?" Ellie cried out. Enid knelt down so she could cut Ellie free. "Hold still, will you?" Enid scolded, using her knife to cut her free.
When Ellie was free, Enid helped her up to her feet.
This would be the first time they would see each other since last winter, which was a few months ago.
"'Oh, thanks Enid for helping us!'" Enid said teasingly. Ellie grinned and pulled Enid into a hug. "Where the hell have you been?" she asked.
Enid hugged her back for a minute. "Around, you know," Enid said with a grin as they break the hug.
"Dina, are you okay?" Ellie asked. "Mostly. You guys, we should go. Somebody would've heard the gunshots," Dina replied, looking out of the doorway where Enid had come from.
Ellie searched Jordan's rupee and found a letter with a picture of Abby.
"Look, she's one of them," Ellie said. "Shots fired!" a WLF soldier shouted from the hallway.
"Was there a TV station on that map?" Ellie asked, looking at the map she had on her.
"I don't fuckin' know! C'mon, you guys!" Dina shouted in a panic.
A WLF soldier runs in there with her loaded gun. She started to shoot at them. They would have to defend themselves.
Ellie didn't hesitate to shoot the soldier in the head, obliterating it.
They then hide behind the wall. "I'll cover you guys! Go around! Let's go!" Dina called.
"How many guys did you guys see?" Ellie asked.
"Enough. We gotta get the hell out of here," Dina replied. Enid peeked over and she could hear the soldiers coming down.
"I hear 'em. They're coming down the hall," Enid said quietly to them.
"It's this way! Move up!" A female WLF shouted, running down the hall.
About six or seven WLF's ran down the hall and they started to look for the three girls.
The three girls managed to kill them and they moved up.
"You two good?" Ellie asked. "Yeah, still in one piece, El," Enid said, reloading her pistol.
"Yeah, either of you recognize any of these people?" Dina replied.
"No," Ellie replied. "No, I don't either," Enid said.
They make their way out of the school and into the courtyard, where there was tall grass for them to hide in.
"I want everybody down here now!" a soldier shouted, coming into the courtyard. "Great. More of 'em," Dina said with a aggravated sigh.
"Watch your six," Enid said quietly just before the soldiers ran out there, guns drawn.
"Where'd the fuck those shots come from?" a male WLF soldier asked.
"I dunno. Search the courtyard! You, hold the cafeteria. I'll cover here," another female WLF ordered, starting to walk through the courtyard.
Ellie crawled through the tall grass and she raised up and used her knife to stab the soldier in her throat.
"Shh. Quiet. Quiet," Ellie hissed in the soldiers ear as she killed her.
Enid went after the soldier that went into the cafeteria. When she made it behind the soldier, she jumped up and stabbed him in the side of the neck.
"Not a fucking word, motherfucker," she spat in his ear, who bled out from the neck wound. She pulled the knife out of his neck and she pushed him to the floor.
"Ellie, Enid! Up there! More of them," Dina shouted, seeing more soldiers coming from the roof.
They jumped down from the roof. Ellie and Enid quickly crouched down and they start to kill the soldiers stealthily.
"Fuck, there's a lot of them," Ellie whispered. "I told you," Dina replied.
"Let's not jinx our luck, okay? Let's find a way out of here," Enid said, carefully looking around.
They make their way inside the building and they find a white door at the end of the back hall.
Ellie tried to open it and found it to be locked. "Shit, it's locked," Ellie cursed.
"Oh, great. Now what?" Enid groaned, trying to find a way out.
Dina then noticed a large vent that would possibly take them out of here. "What about this?" she suggested.
"Let's try it," Ellie replied. Dina opened the vent and the three girls were gone.
The second they all get out, they see that these WLF's have brought back up in a truck.
"Get down!" Dina shouted. All three girls get down behind a wall just as those soldiers move passed them.
"Come on! Inside!" a soldier shouted, running inside the school along with three other men behind him.
When they were gone, Enid rose up and they stand up.
"Alright, I think they're gone. Let's get the fuck out of here," Enid said, finding a way down.
Ellie and Dina follow suit and they jog down the street.
Ellie looked over at Enid, seeing how much she's changed since they saw each other last.
They had told Dina about Bill and how he rigged trip wires all over his town when they and Joel made it to Lincoln.
Ellie and Enid had to admit that they had enjoyed giving him shit and also stealing his shit. It was a great memory they had.
They had found Tommy's horse later on, seeing what the infected had done to it. Enid saw that the infected had gotten ahold of Dusty too, making her understandably upset.
The trio made their way into the TV Station that was a few miles away from the school.
I'm sorry if this chapter is all over the place.
